  1. I don't know about all of that ! ! ! But I'm trying... That's what we got to do Rosie. Write?
  2. LOL Blondie has nothing to do with it. My Mother was from New York, and don't ask me if that is slang or a actual New York Thing Or Jersey Thing "PLEASE PEOPLE DON'T WRIGHT ME TO CORRECT ME ON THIS. IT GOES BACK TO FAR, AND IT'S TO CUTE" Anyway we always had Turtles, Fish, and a Parakeet Back then this stuff was considered eccentric ! So she would put the turtles in the grass or on the cement to race ! When one of them would start moving, she would say "HERE COMES THE TOITLE, HERE COMES THE TOITLE !' So I guess it stuck! So my turtle finally moved, and I spoke it on paper the way I remember hearing it as a child. I am glad you asked ! You deserve to know. Plus that term was also used in cartoons. So as kids we sometimes called them toitles. My Husband even calls me Turtle with a twist added on to it. I won't go there though. I hope you smiled at least 1 time threw this whole story.. Shirley. Also go to my profile. and then go to Topics, click on that, and scroll and reas my journal about surgeries, and WL. It's not to long. I show 3of 3 Surgeries.
  3. O.K. I'm lost ! What's NSV's?
  4. That sounds like a Excellent Deal to me. That's what friends are for you know, Support ! ! Congrats on your shrinking in size. ***** That's a Great Felling, isn't it...
  5. If she is to Juvenile to even talk to you, then that tells me that she might be your best friend,,,, but are you truly hers? Friends are Friends for life. Even when you get Married, you still keep in contact. I have a very good friend who lives in Florida. We went to Junior High together in Michigan. We have partied, Gone to Mardi Gras and we went our own ways. Every Christmas she would wright me a letter, and I would respond. But she was a mother of Twins, was running a Business, and had a Husband in her life. So, I took a back seat, while I ran my life also. While in Michigan one time . She even stopped in to introduce everyone to me, and I did the same for her. But we were "TIGHT" with each other, and never lost contact, even to this day. She has a life, and hopefully makes the right decisions on some things. The same goes for me.. She has a open invitation here, and I have one in Florida. We are true Friends. If she has something done to her "Medically" I just ask are you doin O.K. ? Then she'll tell me. It's not up to me to get ^issed off because she is trying to help herself. That's childish ! But not staying friends or talking about it, is even more childish. She could learn a few things from you, that might help her out too... Give her time to lick her wounds, and heel ! If she doesn't come back to talking to you??? Then I guess in her eyes your not best friends, and you will have to deal with that. But give it some time, and just go on living your life.. Also I See I got a response to my posting about the Capri's! Click on it and you will find a response from a lady who is going to rely on her friend for cloths. You need to read the whole thing though. Now that is Friendship ! My true friend,, we Internet or phone. But we are in touch.
  6. Glad your doing better. Shirley.
  7. THANK YOU ! I agree totally with you. Because the smaller the size, the smaller you look, and are. So I don't worry about the scale at all "only at the Dr. Office" My concern is the fitness of the cloths. That's how I know it's coming off. Yes it sure Looks, and feels better. Shirley.
  8. OOOOOGH HOOOOOGH ! ! That feels sooooo good.... Thanks alot, Shirley
  9. I had 1 pair of white Capri's, that are the same size as the ones that are falling off my butt, finally fit TODAY ! Different company, so made smaller. These are like Linen, they breath. So in this Heat Wave, I thought I would try them on again "they didn't fit last month" Well with that 6 Lbs. that I lost,,, they fit ! This is the last of my big summer cloths. After this,,, Gee Whizz, I have to buy all new cloths :welldoneclap: My Heart is breaking wright? Wrong ! I earned that, and I'm looking forward to this. So I guess by the end of next month maybe "cause I go in for a fill next week" later. I will put all my big size 22 cloths, in our clothing exchange. So I will be looking forward to some cloths from there too. Just sharing the good news. Shirley.
  10. I was alone too, and I agree. I would get up, walk to the kitchen table, get out a sugar free pudding, crush my pills, and take them with a small spoon of pudding. I mean the house is yours! You got the phone, so if you want to talk go for it, same with the Internet. Don't be so worried about it. I had Dental surgery that was worst. It's really not all that bad. There putting something in not taking it out.
  11. Go to myfitnesspal.com and log in your calories for a week. It's easy, and it's free. You might be getting in to much Protein, or to many calories. It doesn't hurt to find out. I am Losingintime on that site. You can look me up if you want. The good thing is you can view other peoples food or Exercise Diary if it's available. Point is you can get some ideas on stuff, and maybe if you do a change up, you might trick your body into moving again, by changing Foods or Exercise. Good Luck, Shirley.
  12. This is for the person with the Hypothyroid story. Now you can see for yourself that we are here.....
  13. With all those views ! you would think someone would say something to you about weight Loss...
  14. Yep I know what your talking about, and you need to be referred to a good ! Endocrinologist. They can get you straitened right out, and eventually, when your levels are in the normal range. Weight will come off. I would get copies of my Labs and show it to him. It's not like he does not know that a lot of Heavy people have a Thyroid Condition... If he doesn't understand you or has poor manners as a Dr. ! Then I would look for someone else, especially who understands this condition. Don't get Depressed about it, now you will be educated about it. So you will learn to help yourself, and understand why it doesn't work sometimes. It's a pain in the @ss, is all it is. We also have a post on this site for people with Hypothyroid. Of course I am on there too. You might want to type that in, and see what you get to read. Good Health to you, Shirley.
  15. Next month will be 36 years for us. So,,,,, I don't think I'm going anywhere..
  16. Drink some warm Water or tea. Do not drink Cold ! the warm water will either push it threw with swallow after swallow s l o w l e y drinking. Or it will come up. Regardless you still have to keep drinking to make sure your clear. This could take several glasses of water. Now you are probably swollen, so stay on liquid shakes for a day or 2. Don't push your luck, or you could swell back up again, Better to be safe then sorry. Shirley.
  17. Google FILL CENTER USA . it will ask for your zip code and then let you know if one is near you, and exactly where it is. Good Luck !
  18. Well Angie,,, With all that said. It's nice to meet you. I too have numerous Disabilities, and have been on my SSD for a year now. I am usually on this site, also on myfitnesspal.com You might look into that, it keeps track of your calorie intake. I see you are on 1800 calories a day. Your surgeon may or may not lower that on you. It depends on you and the surgeon, I am on 800-1200 a day. If you go to the myfitness.pal you will get a chance to view other peoples diets, and yes some are Diabetic. I am Losingintime on that site, feel free to become a friend or friend me in if you would like. Look forward to hearing from you, Shirley.
  19. If something happened like a Heart Attack "so they think" could have fainted O.K.... It would stop them from beating on your chest, and hurting all the work you had done. Not to mention the pain, and then the repair work. I have a card, but I mgiht invest in the jewelry myself.
  20. You have to have a O.K. to Travel, so ask your surgeon. Otherwise you can take care of yourself. It's not going to be hard, and your Dr. is going to want you up anyway. So you will be fine. I promise you it's not that rough.
  21. You should have gotten a Medical Card One side the hospital name, and Bariatric Patient. Other side is for restaurants to see that you can't eat as much as them, so,,, you get your meal the way you can eat it, and or cheaper in price. This card is for your wallet, and I know because I have one. If your surgeon doesn't give one,,, I would say I want one ! I show my card, and save. Also he can be reached. Otherwise I would wear jewelery. They need to know that all that is in there.
  22. I had to lose weight, and that was with a sluggish thyroid, and a problem with water retention. So if I can u can. Just commit yourself to it. Calories for me are 800-1200 a day, and exercise 3x a week.
  23. mine was on Halloween 2006. I had fantastic care.
