Try to drink WARM, NOT COLD ! Water. Drink small sips so that it will go in and hopefully push the stuck threw. You will feel it drop threw. Could hurt a little, but that's to be expected. Don't be surprised if it comes back up though, it can go either way. Then you have to drink water like you do when you get a fill, to make sure your empty. Then with the swelling stay on fluids for a couple of days. Or you could swell back up again. Good Luck, Shirley.

I'll try to answer some of your questions. Does it Hurt? Well yeagh!, but I had Dental Surgery that was worse. It gets better, and pain Meds. help. Can you have the Band removed, when you hit your Goal? Some people have had it done like Sharon Osborne, she said it's all in her head, and with her money,,, she can afford a Headshrinker. Did she go back to the Band? I was reading it last week that her success is do to her band. So I guess it's up to you, and your habits. If they stay the same, you will only regain the weight.. Can you eat Steak? Well were all different, and I know that I do, but I only eat the Tenderloin off of a Porterhouse Steak It's moist and soft. That's how most food for me has to be. So you will find out, just chew, chew, chew.. Does the weight fall off? Again that depends on how heavy you are, because your calorie intake is going to drop a lot ! So if your body is use to high calorie intake, and you make a huge change, yes you will lose some weight quick, but,,,, the norm is 1-2LBS. a week. Exercise? I wouldn't even give that a thought, you will need to heal, you don't need a Hernia wright? So take your time and walk for a while. Once you get the O.K. from your Dr., you can start slowly with exercise, and work your way up. When you feel a pain in your gut It's telling you that it's to much, so take it easy. Just make sure you don't drink anything cold. It will close the muscles in the throat up, and can cause you to throw up. Drink room temperature, or Lukewarm, even a little warmer, but small sips, and give it a chance to go down. If you over load it will come up. I'm sure this is to far for you to come,,,, but in Detroit, Michigan. There is a Hospital called Henry Fords. As long as you are under 500Lbs. Surgery is possible for you. The surgeons are use to the Super Obese, Their equipment holds up to 500Lbs., that's why it stops there. They are a Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery. They can be found on the Internet also. If I were in your shoes I would look at what they offer, wright it all down, and then compare to a Center of Excellence in your area. I would definitely seek someone else's opinion or 2. Yes they would like you smaller in size if possible, but sometimes it's not. Like someone that weighs 400Lbs., and has had to have both legs removed because of Diabetes. They are still in there trying, and surgery is available to them. So don't throw in the towel, just do some research on other places, check out the surgeons, (CHIEF SURGEON WOULD BE EXCELLENT !) then decide where you would like to go. If no one has the options like Henry Ford has, I'm sure you can contact them, and they will know where to recommend you to. There are one time students from there that are all over the country. I won't sugar coat this at all, just tell it the way it is.... Everyone that I new that had Bypass is Buried in the Ground. Before they died, they had problems with Malabsorption, (So you figure out how they took their Meds, So they could work !) then the Dumping Syndrome is not pleasant. Not to many Doctors do the surgery with the Duodenal switch, but that one has no dumping, and no problems with Malabsorption. If I were going to let someone change my insides, with no going back I would choose that one. But I'm sticking with the band. It's not as bad as it can be led up to be.

August 19 will be your new Birthday. August 20 we will be married 35 yrs.. Those Dates are so close together ! Just had to let you know. Shirley.

I make a salad out of Cottage cheese, Cool Whip, Crushed pineapple, and Jello. I like it for The Holidays, because you always get someone watching there weight. In the Summer, I might make it for a Hot Season, (LIKE NOW) and enjoy it. And yes I did make some. Go to myfitnesspal.com, and view my diet, you will see that it is on there, and really not fattening at all. I am Losingintime on that site.

You are doing the right thing by getting involved in Weight Loss Surgery. The things that you want to do with your son, are all possible, as you lose weight with the Band. So they are not unrealistic Goals. One thing we tell people on here as a reminder, is it is a 1 day at a time process. When you choose a Dr., (and I would second a CENTER OF EXCELLENCE in BARIATRIC SURGERY !) They will put you through the Hoops, but most of all,, they will put you on a diet of possibly (JUST A EXAMPLE !) say 1200 calories a day. This is up to you to do on a Daily Basis. If you do as you are instructed, you will lose weight... I to am available if you want to talk. But for now WELCOME ABOARD ! Shirley.

Call your Dr.'s office, and explain everything to them. Then ask them if you can be unfilled under Fluoroscope, (it's like a x-ray machine for Organs, and in this case the band.) You have a fill line in that band, he can unfill you to the fill line, and you should be a lot happier... That's up to you.

Same way here Dave ! All my Doc's know about it, and they see it's working. So no complaints on this end. nice to see your doing so nice on the weight loss.

I totally agree ! If you picture the size in space that a pound of nails would take up, vs a pound of feathers... I see a big difference.. So be glad those inches are coming off....

My neighbor behind me, his son in law had Bypass about 6 months ago. He told me about it as he has seen weight loss with me, thinking I had the same thing "NO THANK YOU !" His attitude is why would you put any thing in you, that's just going to cause you problems an choke? I told him why would you have them cut out 20+ feet of your intestines, cut your stomach up, and re route your insides. Only to have to suffer from Dumping Syndrome, and if you stretch yourself, you can gain the weight all over again.... He just walked away ! ! ! I didn't tell him that everyone that I ever knew that had Bypass are in the Ground. So if he wants to watch my progress,,, I guess I can watch his, as time goes by. I hope he makes it. He would be the first. I don't like those kinda odds..

It's not a round tablet? They are shapes and flavors wright? Because the other ones,,, I think your describing the Gummy ones. Are you sure those come in choline too? LOL What a trip LOL I only know the flavored chalky ones that have shapes,,, that's all I've ever seen in 5 years of buying them.

Your banded, so, as long as your Dr. keeps you up there with your fills, you won't fail... that simple. You don't have to bust your butt to where you are tired of working out. This WL is a slow go. So switch up your programs every now and then, swim, walk, walk the dog, what ever you want. Get on myfitnesspal.com if you can it's free and a lot of us our there. You will see for exercising how many calories you burned up. Plus your calories, and Protein to. This way, it's your call, and you can decide if you want to bust your @$$ a little harder or not. You were filled under Fluoroscopy, and with a Barium swallow. How did you like seeing it all on screen? Did you like it?

O.K.,,,,, my 2 cents only! Join myfitnesspal.com it's free, and it tracks your calories, Protein, exercise, and keeps it in memory. Most of all it's free ! I use it all the time, and i keep a eye on calories, and protein mostly. On the home page you can chat with people from this site, a lot of us are over there, and it is a good thing. I know what your talking about, when it comes to not being able to swallow Water, "THE RED ZONE" I been there too. They looked at mind under Fluoroscope, and filled me to my fill line. I'm fine ! If it's necessary, then maybe your surgeon will consider that, do to your fear. It is SCARY! That will work, another thing is to fill you, and with the needle still in the port, have you sit up, and drink water. He will put in Fluid untill you say stop, or it comes up. Then he will back it off, and you should drink fine. That's another way. So Good Luck on whatever you do, but like I said,,,,, there are ways to get around it. Shirley

I have never seen the tablets here in Michigan????? and they are the complete with Choline write?
