I'm 49 yr old single mom of a 19 yr old and have eaten myself into a corner. Each year since my son's birth in 1992, I've gained 5 lbs on average and now live a very uncomfortable life. Many, many attempts to loose weight, every center, pill, therapy you can imagine. I just can't stick with it for more than a month. I just don't see the benefits and get discouraged. I am meeting with my MD on Aug 10th for a consult. I will decide which surgery is right for me, but I am leaning toward banding. My weight is 245 and height is 5'5"w a BMI of 41. I have a lot of life left to live anddont want to be fat anymore ;(
