My First Fill!

Hi Everyone!

I got my first fill today! I wrote all about it on My Blog - click here to read! Also, feel free to follow it :-)

My question is, did you feel tightness right after your first fill? I don't really feel like I have much restriction still. Just wondering how long I should wait before I call the doctors office.

Thanks!

It usually takes a few fills before you can tell much of a difference.

Hi Katied.

I got my first fill almost 2 weeks ago and up to 3.4 cc in the band, still no restriction. Hoping it will come soon though!! I go for my next fill August 15.

In the meantime I am measuring and weighing my food and trying to eat as much Protein as possible...so far I haven't found anything that doesn't go down and stay down....I've eaten small amounts of skinny spaghetti noodles, macaroni noodles, thin toasted bread, white rice, but trying hard not to have any of those!! Gotta start eating more veggies, which I hate!!

Good luck!!! I'm going to go read your blog!!

You were filled under Fluoroscopy, and with a Barium swallow.

How did you like seeing it all on screen?

Did you like it?

I was scheduled for my first fill today, but PA thought I didnt need it yet! Go back in 4 weeks...maybe then?

It was awesome to see! I thought it was going to be really gross, but it was actually super cool. I just wish I wouldn't have to wait so long to feel restriction! I'm following the diet strictly and working out more than the "minimum" requirement. It is so frustrating! I know it has only been a month since I was banded, but I don't want this to fail like everything else I've tried to lose weight!

Your banded, so, as long as your Dr. keeps you up there with your fills, you won't fail... that simple.

You don't have to bust your butt to where you are tired of working out.

This WL is a slow go. So switch up your programs every now and then, swim, walk, walk the dog, what ever you want.

Get on myfitnesspal.com if you can it's free and a lot of us our there. You will see for exercising how many calories you burned up. Plus your calories, and Protein to. This way, it's your call, and you can decide if you want to bust your @$$ a little harder or not.

Good Luck, Shirley.
