  1. I'm a peanut butter nut ( pun intended LOL ) I buy peanut butter extract and peanut butter flavored S.F. Syrup and peanut butter powder. I'll get my peanut butter one way or the other !!!

  6. Oh Thank you !!! I think I'll go to my family doc ,now that I don't have to worry about weight gain !
  7. They gave me an Albuteral (sp?) inhaler. It does help somewhat. Is that a steroid?
  8. I got worried because I'm 2 months out from surgery and my chest hurt and felt hot and I felt sick. I thought - "Oh no - the hiatel hernia repair is infected ! " Went to a walk in clinic and they said it's bronchitis. She said "I don't want to give you steroids because it'll make you gain weight". 3 weeks later,I'm still coughing. Steroids have always worked wonders for me , but now that I had the surgery,I'm wondering if they'll interfere with the weight loss if I take them. I want to go to my family doctor ,but I want to know about the steroids before he might suggest them. Have you ever taken any and do you think it affected your weight?
  9. I would say 3 or 4 days till the incisions felt alittle better. I did a big grocery shopping on day 6. All I took for pain was a couple shots of liquid tylenol. They also gave me a bottle of liquid oxycodone to take home from the hospital. Never took any - it's still full . Honestly, for me,it was one of the easiest surgeries I've had.
  10. I drink about 70-ish ounces a day. I'm retired though, so I have the time to drink all day. I don't know how I'd do it if I had to be on the go like most of you ! I'd always have to be within 2 minutes of a bathroom ! Some liquids seem to fill me up more . If I drink sugar free fruit juices I can't eat as much. It's a balancing act for sure
  11. Words of wisdom ..... thank you x 1000 ! I'm alittle beat down because I'm at my first stall- PLUS- I caught bronchitis. For the last 3 weeks my only exercise has been coughing LOL I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel - I'm glad you reminded me
  12. Your 8 oz. does sound like it's not enough . I'm only 2 months out from surgery and they said I'm supposed to aim for 12 oz.
  13. Carmen ......... I was a daddy's girl, too and the same thing happend to me. ((((((((((( Hugs to you )))))))))))))))
  14. No straws for me .I tried it one time , just to see what would happen and the air I swallowed with it actually hurt , so no more of that !
  15. Mashed potatoes will be for later. First 2 weeks is Clear liquids only - anything you can see through.
  16. What Lindsay said ....... plus plenty of sugar free jello.

  18. I came here after my surgery and it is so helpful ! I'm only 2 months out,so I had alot of questions. Everyone has been so nice and helpful ! We all have something in common that brings us together. This is the only forum I've ever been to where there is no drama or anything unfriendly. Welcome and good luck !
  19. I'm 2 months out from the sleeve and I am constantly burping. It happens when I eat and drink - I think somehow I'm swallowing air. I'll get it figured out ... till then ...Excuse me !
  20. All I took was me and a hairbrush . ! They had everything else there for me .
  21. I have to admit - I have a couple beautiful tops and a winter coat that I love ....... I'll miss them when I get smaller !
  22. That's one reason I'm not telling anyone ! People also think this is a "shortcut", and I don't have the patience to explain it to them. I already decided if someone pushes me about what I eat ..I'm going to get really somber ... and say " I had to have stomach surgery and they ended up taking out half of my stomach". Hopefully it will sound so serious that they won't ask why. LOL
  23. 141 pounds just seems unreal !!!! This surgery can work miracles . 40 more pounds to you will be a walk in the park! Congratulations x 1000 !!!
  24. WOW !!!!!!!!! You are an inspiration to me !!!!! There's not enough words of praise I can give you ! Thanks for the pics and all the words of wisdom you post in this forum
  25. My goal weight isn't a number - it's a feeling. When I can walk alot, bend over, exercise without dying and my lab numbers come back as normal ,,,, that'll be my goal weight !
