  1. It IS funny how the signals change. Now as I'm getting full ,I start to burp . It's like the food is filling up the last of the air space in my stomach. I've been stopping before that happens ,but it's like my stomach is sending out an alarm that says "for God's sake -- STOP eating !!" LOL
  2. What a great report !!!! I'm a slow loser,so I've been looking at the "non-scale victories" . Like you - my health has improved so much since this surgery - it's amazing !!! I was on the verge of diabetes, too ... now it's in the rear view mirror Congratulations to you !!!!! I hope you have many more years of good health !
  3. Catching bronchitis and having my first stall at the same time had me bummed out especially since it was only a month after surgery. 2 months of feeling bad and on top of it watching the scale stall was so disheartening. What kept me going was reading about all the successful losses from people on here and cheering them on ! Now it's finally my turn My motivation is back ! The bronchitis is nearly gone and I'm starting to walk again (even in the damn heat ...gggrrrr ) and the scale is once again my friend . I just thought I'd share my good news with you !!! I'm so happy I found you all !
  4. LOL--MsTeeTee ....... our wallets are losing more weight than we are !!!!!!! That stuff IS expensive !!!! LOL
  5. I'm very lucky - since my surgery 3 months ago I've never had hunger signals. I have no full or hunger feelings. I'm Loving it ! I know it won't last - sigh- but I'm enjoying it while I can.
  6. ONE-derful !!!!!!!!!!!!!! You look gorgeous !!!!! Truly a number to celebrate
  7. WOW ! You turned into a totally new person !!!!! Everyone here has turned from a caterpillar into a butterfly - you ,too ! That's just amazing .......
  8. I see ALOT of red flags here ! PLEASE try and find someone else . This whole situation scares me just reading it. If you do get surgery , after care might be a nightmare with him. You are NOT being petty ! Find someone else and look up their reviews from patients before you schedule anything. Thanks so much for sharing with us -that's what this place is for ! (((( hugs )))
  9. My dietician told me to aim for 12 oz. every meal. I'm only 2 months out and that's still alittle too much for me.
  10. Great numbers - especially the B.P. ! I was in the 145+ range before surgery , now I'm down to 114 . This surgery does wonders for us
  11. Isn't it strange how some docs just don't seem to give a darn about their patients ? Then others - will go out of their way for you . It boggles my mind how these bad docs still stay in business.
  12. That's all great news ! Sounds like you are on your way to a happy ( and skinny ! ) life !!!
  13. My dietician told me to try Laughing cow cheese spread with tuna. It comes in little triangles and you just use one and mash it with tuna . ( it's a substitute for mayo ) It's really good and it's a pure protein meal. It's also a good topping on a couple of Ritz crackers.
  14. All my life,I've been constantly constipated. The sleeve really "streamlined" my gut ..Food in - food out ! I would suggest fiber powder . Always worked for me in the past.
  15. I was told that sometimes you can feel a lump under the incisions and that it is normal and will fade. I do agree though,if it is red and warm , it might be infected,Keep an eye on it and don't wait too long to see your doctor.

50 pounds !!! My dog weighs 50 pounds. Just visualizing that amount of weight is astounding ! You deserve a standing ovation for that !!!
  17. I missed chewing, too ! LOL One day , I couldn't stand it anymore and I snuck a ritz cracker. I chewed that one cracker till it was just molecules - it was heaven ! LOL
  18. I've only lost 12 lbs. so far . I'm on reg. food now. ( surgery was May 22 ) I'm eating low calorie, low carb low everything and the dumb scale just laughs at me. I see my surgeon Mid, Aug ... I'm going to ask him if he's SURE he took anything outta me , cuz it sure doesn't seem like it !! LOL
  19. You sound so much like me .... LOL I'm 2 months out and I've been stalled for 3 weeks.... ugh. I keep thinking ,hey- as long as I'm not losing or gaining-maybe I can pig out on junk food while my body is deciding what to do.
  20. I don't mean to laugh, but I told my surgeon the exact same thing ! I gained weight at my first appointment and I told him "if this keeps up,I want my money back !" ...LOL He said don't worry about it - your body will adjust and you'll start losing . They pumped me FULL of liquids in the hospital , too . I guess I just had to play the waiting game. Are you writing down what you eat ? Sometimes it helps to see things in black and white so you can figure out what's happening.
  21. I can't get over how that hospital room is set up ..... unreal . Those pictures just have me shaking my head !
  22. I'm in my 3ed week of a stall. It sucks !!!
  23. Hearing you so happy is making me happy !!!!! You've been to hell and back and if there's anyone who deserves this happiness - it's YOU !!!!! You Go girl !!!!
  24. I'll have what Babyspoons is having ! I'm only 2 months out,but I'm looking forward to sitting on my deck with my dogs, having a drink, watching the birds and listening to my radio. I hate even asking my doc - I'm afraid he'll think "why is she in so much hurry to have a drink?" Same with asking for something for pain .... they make you feel guilty for asking.
  25. As long as I kept my hands busy , I was okay. I was a big "sit in front of the tv with a bowl of something and keep shoveling it into my mouth" type person. I stopped buying the tempting stuff and instead bought myself a bunch of markers, pens, sketchbooks , coloring books and kept that next to me while watching tv. I also had water with me at all times. Not gonna lie - the first couple days are bad ! Pretty soon my brain switched gears and I really got into my doodling. Lost a good amount of weight, too !
