I get what you are saying, I think. I know there are people who wouldn't give me the time of day when I was 283 pounds, 100 pounds less and suddenly they were my best buddies, NOT! On the inside, I am still the same person, just with a different packaging now. If I wasn't good enough for you then, I sure don't want you in my life now.
It is rare for me to find old pictures of myself, I was always so embarrassed of my weight, I avoided the camera at all costs. I still do, because in my mind, I still think I am going to look like that person I was three years ago.

Rhonda, I will have to check that out. I never see them at home, then end up in the car going somewhere and that is always where those little buggers show up, never fails.

Okay guys and gals, you have already been warned once. Please stop the personal attacks now. It really takes away from the forums. We are here to help and support each other, not play grammar police and insult one another. If you find a particular post bothers you, just don't respond to it, it is okay to move on.

Remember that we also have international people on here and English is their second language. I usually look at the name and realize that they are not from the US. The few that I find full of misspellings and difficult to read I usually don't comment.

    To All,
Please remain respectful of others writing styles at all times. As long as it does not contain offensive words or otherwise, it's just better left un said.
Cursing and / or berating others will not be tolerated here. Any more in this thread and warnings will be issued individually.
Thank all in advance for keeping this site the way it is meant to be, kind and supportive.

Glad to see everyone has apologized and made nice, lol. I hate when I have to come into a thread and remind everyone about our rules regarding personal attacks. Fortunately, I didn't have to this time, or did I just do that? Oh goodness, and added a "roll's eyes" to it too.
I will behave myself now and just say this, I stay away from all soda, but it is because I love diet coke and regular coke and once I start, I can't stop. In fact, about two months ago I got back in the habit of drinking it again after not having done so for almost six years. Man, was I mad at myself, and not diet, the full loaded sugary calorie stuff. So, I had to go cold turkey on it again about three weeks ago and am feeling much better again.

Steph, I like your idea about posting them above the scale, but I think I will take it one step further and post it in the pantry and on the fridge. That would be a good reminder whenever that urge to eat something not so healthy strikes.

Goodness, mine is in overdrive. A couple of years ago, when I had none, it did turn out to be a hormonal thing. I have been living with a wonderful man for a couple of years now, and we can't get enough of each other. Because of the type of work we do, we are pretty much together all the time. So, we are constantly touching, giving each other hugs, special looks, etc. I think that helps keep the ol libido revved up. Even when I worked at a different job and we didn't see much of each other during the day, there were the frequent sweet, loving, and sexy text messages that had us raring to go by the time we got home at night.

Girl, you can totally do this. I proudly refer to myself as the slowest loser. I am three years out and still not at goal. At one point I was well over 100 pounds down, but still 30 from my goal. Then, last August I started having major back issues and wasn't able to much exercise for months. In February, I had steroid injections and gained 30 pounds! Now, just in the past three weeks my body has leveled out and decided to start letting go of the weight again and I have been losing about two pounds a week. So, don't believe that if you don't lose your weight in the first year, you will not reach goal. I am in my third year, my sleeve is still working for me, I am losing and I will reach my goal!
    We can all do this!

Hey guys, you know what, I am the queen of slow losers and I still wouldn't trade my sleeve for anything. I have had mine for three years now and am not at goal. I was up to 115 pounds lost at one point, which was still 30 pounds from my goal. Due to recent back issue and steroid injections, I gained 30 pounds. But, the good news is this, even at three years out your sleeve will still work for you. I have finally leveled out on all my blood tests and my body is ready to once again let go of the weight. For the past three weeks I have lost two pounds a week and am thrilled with that.
I guess my point is, while most people lose the majority of their weight in the first year, I want you to know if you don't, that doesn't mean you have failed. You just don't lose as quickly as some. But we really shouldn't even compare ourselves to others, because everyone is different. Contrary to rumors out there, your sleeve will continue to work for you one, two, three years out and longer. I am proof of that.

Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, and to express that opinion is a respectful manner without attacking each other personally..
FYI, my partner is a nutritionist and personal trainer. He knows that I am not fond of Breakfast, or Protein shakes. He has created a wonderful Protein shake that I drink every morning, similiar to the one posted by the OP. It has almond milk, a banana, plain greek yogurt, vanilla whey Protein and cinnamom and is absolutely wonderful. He says the same thing, there is a difference between good carbs and sugars, and bad carbs and sugars, and everything in the banana is good. They are also an excellent source of potassium, and are frequently recommend as a great after workout treat as well.
