  1. Morning all (evening to Fanny)! TGIF!
  2. You mean it doesn't? Crap!
  3. What a mental image for a Thursday morning!:sneaky:
  4. Way to go! Doesn't that feel good!
  5. I hope that you are feeling better now. Cutting that insulin is awesome! Can i have a copy too?
  6. Not a mental image I needed before bed! Ok, I so agree with you about her restaurant. I have seen her make many gooey butter cakes. I have never tasted one. Based on what you have said, I don't think I should. I would completely stop losing weight. See, yet another reason for me to never taste gooey butter cake!
  7. That is the reason I wanted to know about my fill. If I ever have to go to another doctor, I couldn't tell them anything other than I have a band with some fill in it. That is what my doc's office says. They don't want us fixated on the amount of fill or comparing with other patients. I can understand that, but I would like to know for myself.
  8. I saw it yesterday. I got tears in my eyes listening to her. Heartfire, I am so sorry that you had such a terrible time. I am glad that he was able to get you feeling better. I feel for the nurse because she really screwed up. I hope everything turns out ok.
  9. That is so great CC! I know you all will be glad when he is out of the hospital and doing well on his own. It does drive me crazy. I would really like to know just for my own info. They are so determined to not have patients discussing how much they have to compare, that they go overboard with the hoarding of info. It chaps my cheeks.
  10. Well, I had my doctor's appointment too. I am up 3 pounds since last week (down 4 from my previous appointment in March). They said I was eating a little too much so they scheduled a fill (they wouldn't give it to me today to get more money out of me). I will go back next week for a tweak. They said I am close to having 5 cc in my band (they won't tell me exactly how much). I guess we shall see what happens. Mac-I think you should go for it. I know you can do it. Ebony & Glouc-I miss food too. Especially when I am upset. That was my sedative. Now I am having to deal with emotions that I don't know how to cope with. I know I need to learn new coping mechanisms, but I haven't done it. Beth & Ebony-Love Wolverine! I am not truly an X-Men fan from the comics, but I love Hugh Jackman (even if he is short). He gets that body into awesome shape! HeatherO-I think you are right. If it is repackaged DS does like the Easter gifts. He enjoyed the candy that he got as long as it wasn't in a basket. I hope that I didn't miss anyone. If I did, charge it to my head and not my heart!
  11. I hope he is able to tell you something. I am sure that you can express it just fine. Good luck!
  12. PJTP-I have my official 6 month follow up today (it's late). I will see what I have officially lost (or gained) since my last fill. Wish me luck!
  13. He didn't miss out. My family always gives him so much stuff on days like this. Even though our family is huge, my aunts (I have 3 living) all treat him like he is their grandson. He came home with a crap load of candy and eggs.
  14. Happy Easter to you too! DS is with my mother. He decided that he is "too old" for a basket this year. He is growing facial hair (peach fuzz) so that makes him too old for such things. Yeah right. He ruined my fun with the eggs and such. Oh well. He will miss this days (just like me). I keep trying to tell him not to grow up too fast. Adulthood and all its problems will happen soon enough. I wouldn't have listened at his age so I don't expect him to. Have a happy day everyone!
  15. You are most welcome! I am so glad that I get to be there for you the way you have been there for me! Talk to you soon! Let me know what happens with the insurance.
  16. It's good to know that I am not crazy (or alone) with the self image issues. Ceradad, I am so glad that you no longer have man breasts. I am just going to have to hope that DH can deal with scooping my tube sock breasts off my lap.:cool2:
  17. You aren't crazy. The feeling in your throat is where I feel it when I am eating too fast or the bite was just a little too big. It is worse in the mornings. My doctor said that is because the esophagus (sp?) is a muscle that has to warm up just like any other muscle. So first thing in the morning, it will be more difficult to get your solids down. What he recommends is starting the day with a warm drink to help losen everything up. I do that every morning. By about 9 (my first break at work), I am ready to have my Breakfast (it's really more of a snack). PB is basically throwing up in your mouth. The gurgle, blub feeling takes some getting use to. When I feel that, it just reminds me to slow down and make that next bite smaller. I am so sorry that you are going through so much with your insurance. Insurance is supposed to be there to help, but it always seems to cause so much trouble. I hope everything turns out ok with that situation. I have been bragging on you. Several people have commented on your words that I quoted in my signature. You are touching more lives every day the way that you have touched mine! Everything will be fine with this fill. Just remember to take it slow. It will losen over the next few days and you will wonder where that restriction went. Stay blessed!
  18. Happy Easter to you too!
  19. I so understand! The pictures help me see the difference, but they also make me wonder wtf I was thinking when I didn't think I looked so bad! DH takes pictures of me now and tells me that I am going to like the pictures. The pictures don't look anything like I think I should look. DH even had the nerve to ask if I was about done losing weight. WTH? I still have 50 pounds to go just to get to where I was right after having my son! I am smaller than I have been in over 10 years, yet I look (to myself) what I obviously was looking like before I lost weight. Talk about skewed self image. All right! That is great! Have fun doing the eggs!
  20. Thank you. I was feeling rather melancholy there for a moment. That laugh is exactly what I needed.
  21. PJTP-Why couldn't I see myself as huge as I actually got that way, but now that I am losing, all I see is the huge person staring back at me? I know that I have lost weight. My clothes size says I have lost weight. Heck, people that I know say that I have lost an enormous amount of weight (I knew I was big, but they make me out to sound like I was an elephant), yet I can't look at myself and see it?
  22. That's not silly. That is great! I don't know why traffic always stops there. It is craziness! I am glad to see you on here. I was concerned about you with the storms yesterday. Sorry that your dad is having insurance issues after everything else. Morning all!
  23. Exactly. I have to remind myself that this isn't a diet. This is for life.
