  1. Happy Birthday early luluc! I would love a surprise party myself. DH cooked for me instead. Of course, he didn't know that my mother had cooked for me as well (neither did I until the next day). Of course, she didn't cook anything band friendly, so it worked out for me that he cooked. Have fun playing outside Tap!
  2. Good morning everyone! Happy Father's day Plain (and any other father that happens to read)! Still no word from Ebony? I hope everyone has a very happy, healthy Sunday!
  3. I do think Friday was her off day. I just hope that this quiet from her is just that she is busy getting things in order for her new job.
  4. That is awesome news! That is what I was wondering.
  5. Morning Tap! Happy Friday Everyone!
  6. Yep! I feel better knowing I am not alone. I wasn't impressed with my house either. It was ok, but it wasn't my dream.
  7. My house isn't big. It is actually a lot less of a house than I could have had if I had followed my heart and stayed in the neighborhood that we were living in before. If I had done that, there were no cheap apartments close by that MIL could later move into and wreck my life! Sorry, went off on a tangent there. I bought my house after having my offer turned down on another house. I should have kept looking further, but that finance offer was apparently burning a hole in my purse! I went from approval to signing papers within a month. I won't do it that way again.
  8. Welcome back. Hopefully one of you will be a match. Surely it won't. How exactly do they test you, if you don't mind my asking? I am envious of the floors. It must be a part of homebuying. Screw up with the first house. Hopefully learn the things you want and don't want for the next one. I keep saying I won't buy another house. I don't like being responsible for fixing the crap when it breaks!
  9. Oh, I know you can't have both. I don't have either in my house. I meant I was in too big of a hurry just to get a house and didn't do enough research. I was so thrilled that I had been approved for a home loan that I didn't take the time to really look into what I wanted and what the true condition of the house was. My house had been "spruced up" to make it look like it was in good shape. The cracks in the walls were fixed. Shehad carpet with extra padding covering the uneven floors. Of course, once I had signed on the dotted line, it was too late. I was just too excited about the prospect of owning my own home.
  10. My hubby is apparently a punk on that score too. He talks about all of this stuff we could do to the house, but we never do it.
  11. Beth-loved the bike picture and the kitchen picture. I would love to have tile floors, but like Ebony mentioned, old house=uneven floors. There is no way I will ever be able to level this sucker. By the way, Ebony I do love your house.
  12. Morning everyone! Ebony-will be thinking of you while you are at work with the boss from heck!
  13. You are better than me. :sneaky:Once I knew for sure that I was out, I would probably walk out the first time something off was said. I did that in my previous job. I will admit to being young and stupid at the time(instead the old and stupid person that I am now:wink2:).
  14. I like the way you think.:wink2:
  15. I understand why you are anxious. I wouldn't think they would ask to speak to your current employer (knowingly putting you in unpleasant position) if they didn't know that you pretty much had the job.
  16. My insurance is being charged something like $450 for my fills. They don't pay that much, of course. I have a $20 copay. Self-pay people pay $125 or something close to that for their fills.
  17. My doctor does all of his fills under fluro as well. It's not an option. Thankfully, my insurance pays all but my normal copay.
  18. It's going to work out, Ebony. I am praying, chanting, crossing fingers and toes (no nekkid dancing for fear of ruining the good vibes).
  19. :wink2::lol:You are too funny Beth. Glouc-you sound like you had an exciting weekend. So nice to see you back on LBT for us non-facebookers. Ebony-you deserve to be in a good mood after your interview experience yesterday.:wink2:
  20. Hi She! Tap, I am glad that you had a PB free night. Maybe your tummy just needed a bit of a rest. It seems they are bound and determined to make us Facebook. I have coworkers and family that Facebook. I am not sure I want to mingle my lapband life with them.
  21. I think the "cheer" is done at all Wal-Mart stores. As a previous "associate", we did the "cheer" every opening morning (pre 24/7 days here).:wink2:
  22. You have a beautiful baby!
  23. I am so glad that you are having fun, luluc! I am living vicariously through you right now so drink one for me! ;o)
  24. Man... I had a fill today and those fried green tomatoes sound so good! I guess I had better drink more v-8. :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t: Way to go! What she said!
  25. Susan-that is so sad to hear about your friend. Sending prayers and thoughts to you and your friend's family. Ebony-good luck on your 2nd interview! Tap-I am glad that you are feeling a little better. Don't wait too long if it starts to get worse again. G4E-I hope that your dealings with the disability people go well. Keep us posted CC-prayers to you and your mother. It was pretty quiet around here. That seems to be the norm here lately. I don't have a life and am living vicariously through you all, so let's pick up the pace with the posting.
