  1. My plan said don’t drink coffee for the first month. I had some 2 weeks post-op. No problems.
  2. Thanks for sharing your finds. Is the soup sold in single pouches? I’d like a protein patch I could slap on my arm and that would be my day right there.
  3. I hit a wall with shakes this week. My doc team suggested unflavored protein powder in Gatorade zero. Ugh! No. It was wretched. I found this idea in a bariatric cookbook. Nonfat milk mixed with some nonfat milk powder. It wasn’t gross! I tried a bit then made some more.
  4. @leeann I had cream of wheat last night very runny. It was nice. I asked directly just now to my doc/team can I have a nice scrambled egg and they answered back NO. I’m 4 days out from soft/puréed clearance. Insert best Lucy Ricardo WAH! Ok. So no. I will listen to them. I had an oikos yogurt this morning with 20g protein. I’ll have some Gatorade zero with unflavored protein powder later. 4 more days. 4 more days. Can I just hibernate through them?
  5. @hende I’m sorry surgery twin. I hope you’re out of the hospital soon!
  6. Ever since the pandemic lockdown started I stopped wearing a bra and I just can’t go back. They just collected so much sweat. By midday they were soaked.
  7. I texted my doc/team yesterday about my extreme aversion to everything I can eat during the liquids phase. I’m several days out from puréed/soft. I was hoping that they’d say oh ok have a nice scrambled egg. They didn’t. I found a recipe in my bariatric cookbook for a shake with spinach and avocado and Granny Smith apple. I’m going to try that.
  8. Lou I’m so sorry that you had a bad experience. I hope you’re feeling better today
  9. Happy Birthday Sophie! Gorgeous food (and people) photos!
  10. Anaheim CA Disneyland!
  11. So hard! Looking at the food on this thread though is giving me hope! There’s not one protein shake pictured! Light at the end of the tunnel! The sickening sweet protein shake tunnel!
  12. Protein Jello. ? meh! 6 more days until soft/puréed foods!
  13. I’m sorry for all of your losses. I didn’t think I was nervous but on the morning of surgery I realized I was when I felt like I needed to pee every few minutes. I peed four times in an hour which seemed impossible since I hadn’t had anything to drink for the last 11 hours. I think I would have preferred crying to shuffling around in that awkward hospital gown and socks scurrying to the nearest bathroom
  14. Happy 3 months! I’m looking forward to being there!
  15. With jello I use protein water! I can’t drink it plain but in the jello it just gives it a zing.
  16. I wanted to try them but am having trouble finding just a single bottle. I don’t want to get a case either.
  17. I went to the movies today too! I took a Fairlife strawberry nutrition shake and my gummy vitamins. My daughter bought me a Minute Maid zero sugar cherry limeade too.
  18. The first few days out I wasn’t getting in all my fluids so I didn’t feel good at all. I felt better once I reached those daily fluid and protein goals. Keep plugging away one ounce at a time.
  19. No regrets whatsoever! I’m just almost 2 weeks post op. I’ve stopped taking many medications and lost about 20 pounds.
  20. I like the unflavored Isopure protein powder that can be mixed to make Protein Jello or Pudding. I can’t take more than one shake a day. I do Greek Yogurt too. There’s one called Two Good that’s ok.
  21. Thanks for posting that video. I love the message. Trust the protocol!
  22. Tacos ? drool. I’m dreaming of my favorite al pastor
  23. @corinne2022 Do you have co-morbidities? For me it was diabetes, high blood pressure, and knee/ankle arthritis pain. Surgery has helped.
  24. Nonfat greek yogurt is on my phase 1 full liquids plan. I am looking forward to chicken with the sugar free bbq sauce!
  25. Protein Pudding. Sugar free jello pudding mix with isopure zero carb protein unflavored and 1% milk. I’m in love ? It will perhaps be a short romance when phase 2 or 3 rolls around My doctor said keep monitoring blood sugar and pressure but I can stop the meds. What?! Hooray!
