@catwoman7 I really appreciate the support. Is really good to know that I can ask at the hospital. I did not get much pain from my gallbladder surgery but I know this surgery is completely different if I decide to go with the RNY. Thank very much for your reply

My wife had her RNY in 2019, I remember her pain was so intense that even clearing her throat would hurt her abdomen. Doing my research on how to minimize this type of discomfort beside taking your pain meds post surgery one can also have some relief by using a pillow or a brace to help you support the abdomen. Has anyone had experience with this and did it work for you? Any suggestion on a particular brand? And thank you in advance for all the replies this is a wonderful online community I am grateful for this forum it has really giving me hope and help me manage my questions and navigate thru my anxiety.

This is great info thank you so much @nursesunshine One of my medications is Extended Release. I will definitely talk to my surgeon on my next appointment prior surgery.

@Jaelzion I have a friend who takes that for his AF to avoid clots and reduce the chance of stroke. How did surgery affect you medication? Can you share? If not I totally understand. And definitely is something I am asking my doctor about prior surgery ty for the advise

Interesting ? I’ve read some studies more Anecdotal than actual data driven. But nothing better than the experience of those whom have gone thru it. I really appreciate you time in replying. Cheers!!

I take zoloft for antiexy. I've researched a bit on the internet and found that once you do a Gastric Bypass your psych meds will actually work differently. I wanted to know if anyone who has gone thru surgery had any experience with this. Thank you all in advance.

Thanks for the feedback. Indeed I’ve read many have success with both. I am glad everything went smoothly with yours. I will see my Dr on Sept 23 for the last pre-op and see what is his recommendation.

Want to read what has been the experience of people who had either sleeve or bypass with All the comorbities (HBP, daíbetes, sleep apnea, heart disease, acid reflux and asthma) 1. what surgery did you do and why? 2. Has the surgery resolved all or some of your comorbities? I am a candidate myself but unsure ? of what surgery to choose. Looking for some feedback thank you all
