  1. Have you tried the clear protein drinks. I couldn’t drink them early on because of the sweetness and all I drank was the clear protein. I went with premiere protein fruit punch. They also have peach and it available on Amazon.
  2. I had easy recovery and at 6 months out I have lost 55 pounds (I am 20 pounds from goal). I have always been able to eat more than I am supposed to and worried that would derail me but I just keep measuring and I have been okay. I am at a pretty long stall that I am hoping is not me going into maintenance.
  3. It was prepared (mostly) there was a bag of cooked cauliflower in a broth that you had to drain and a package of a cheese sauce that you put on top. It could go in oven or microwave just to heat it. Yours sounds better though. ?
  4. Is a marathon not a sprint and don’t compare your weight loss to others. Some are faster losers and others are slower but for most of us just stick to the plan and the weight eventually Does come off.
  5. Don’t stock up too much. Some of our tastes change after surgery. especially when it comes to sweet things.
  6. Did you also gain some of the weight back? Don’t you have to be a certain size to qualify for revision? Especially with insurance? I mean will a dr do it even for gerd if you are near a healthy BMI?
  7. This is going to vary so much from person to person because everyone’s recovery is different. I am not working right now but if I did i probably could have gone back the same week. I was one of the lucky ones that had very little pain post op but for whatever reason some people have a great deal of pain and it lasts for days or even weeks. I would plan on longer but discuss with HR the option to go back sooner if you feel up to it. Half days may be a good option when you do go back cause the one thing everyone seems to say is how tired they are after surgery. I took lots of naps.
  8. I am going to ask my dr about straws at my next appt. I am six months out and haven’t tried it yet but I really miss my tervis cups with the lid and straws. I have my appt coming up in a couple weeks. Will keep you posted on their take on using them a while post surgery.
  9. Is it because you can’t get the shakes down because the clear protein drinks were easier for me to get down in the beginning. The shakes tasted too sweet for a while.
  10. I wonder if calorie wise it would be the same to buy the Velveeta cheese sauce packet separately like they sell at dollar tree and just put that with cauliflower because that’s basically all it was was cauliflower and a cheese sauce pocket. I just thought of that because that would be cheaper and also taste better to me I like the Velveeta cheese sauce flavor.
  11. Okay so I can’t get them to post in the correct order but I found cauliflower Mac and cheese and new cauliflower breadsticks at Publix and that and grilled chicken breasts was dinner. Not bad for weight loss phase the entire plate was about 410 calories which was dinner and some left over for snack. I mostly wanted to post to tell y’all about the breadsticks though because to me they tasted just like the real thing
  12. Congratulations on your decision to choose you.
  13. It varies greatly from one doctor to the next. Two days is not uncommon.
  14. Good for you. That’s awesome.
  15. Any other March sleevers found themself in a stall. I have lost 55 pounds and I seem to be stuck 20 pounds from my goal weight. How is everyone else doing??
  16. Go back to the liquid stage. There is nothing that says you have to do the purée stage. It’s just about waiting long enough for things to heal before soft food stage.
  17. I bet you didn’t lose as much as many of us on pre op because you had already lost the water weight from dieting.
  18. I was going to say treat yourself to something…a mani pedi or a cute new outfit and give the gift card to someone else.
  19. Ooh yea. I brought my air pods so I could listen to netflix at night and didn’t hear the doors open amd close all night. Very good idea.
  20. Two things I didn’t see mentioned. I bought an extra long phone cord on amazon And was thankful I did so my phone and iPad could charge and reach the bed and also baggy pajama pants I wore under hospital Gown so i didn't have to bother with a robe.
  21. OMG a tap block. that must be what I got. I never had children so I had no idea what epidural was like to compare it to that. I remember trying to lift my body up using my abdomen and I couldn’t move in recovery. It was the weirdest feeling. I asked the nurse how much longer I would feel like that. And I had a tiny dot amongst my scars afterwards. Sorta odd that they don’t warn you that you will be half paralyzed post surgery. I guess most women would just know what was going on after childbirth but a heads up couldn’t hurt. It does work though. I continue to say I felt like I did 1000 crunches, but very little pain. For fear of addiction (it runs in my family) and since I didn’t need them, I asked to go off of the pain meds and switch to Tylenol (the next day i went home and didn’t take anything). All this time I thought I had nothing for pain but I had a nerve block. This makes so much more sense cause usually I am not the greatest with pain.
  22. I used to literally drink nothing but Coke Zero. I Drank about a 12 pack a day. I am six months out drinking crystal light and the only time I have missed my soda is when I tried to drink ruM and crystal light and it was terrible but I just decided I don’t really need to be drinking my calories anyways. But somehow I honestly don’t miss soda so hopefully you won’t either.
  23. I agree. Call doctor. But also know that you don’t HAVE to move onto purées. It’s a maximum not a minimum.
