    I agree can not be handled here - But as a guy my view is he is being selfish and Jealouse - You marry the person for who they are not what they look like! My x wife is still large, and we do have a physical relationship still. I am not going to say i do not notice he weight but i let it pass and I realize I care and married her for who she is not what she looks like. She is the mother of my children and I have been with her for 25 years, Now she is going to get the surgery after the Covid Nightmare is over. Of Course another bill for Me! but what she looks like does not matter to me I just want her healthy and Happy
    You both need a counselor ASAP -

    For all of you just starting out or on the fence want to share something that hit home today. at 377 i could not go on my kids skiff boat To much weight, I could only go on it alone. So i never used it. Today as we sit here i am physically able to get on and off the boat and enjoy things i could not.
    So today was the Naples Florida Trump Boat Bash and Parade. My 17 year old came to me and says you want to go with me and savannah to this circus. I was shocked but i said yes. Cool as hell to see billions of dollars in one area, Of course this is Naples Florida so we have Yachts everywhere. Great thing to do
    The moral is life is so much better being normal weight and healthy! Just do it - do not miss things in life cuz your overweight
    BTW - This is not a political post we just wanted to go have fun. Everyone has there own views and the rule in this house is Do what you want but do not express religion or poliitics views to each there own!

    I am going the other way! I do drink and have drank since about 3 months out. I agree with all of you that the calories in Vodka or any alcohol are high, However during this journey I relied on it to end the days stress and go to sleep. Now the old days would be lots of drinks, Now its just a Vodka and Flavored Protein Water for me and Night Night -
    I do feel for you with the stress it is really getting to me also, My company is shut down and hemorrhaging money daily. So my view is if one drink helps - Go for it - Just exercised it off the next day

    Everyone is different but I had very little pain but had a blast Getting Morphine hits every three hours! Really did not need them but was having fun getting stoned and seeing elvis for the 30 hours. I have seen most people have little pain just discomfort, I used a CBD cream on the slits that really helped but never needed any pain meds
    Good luck you got this - NO PAIN NO GAIN

    Common Stay on Course this is a Journey not a sprint!
    Stop weighing yourself or you will end up in a rubber room with a special jacket the buckles in the back! You are getting healthy and it is not consistent weight lose, Your body is going to decide not the scale.
    Follow the plan and focus on getting healthy - Not the numbers of pounds or Pounds per day -
    It will happen Trust me I and the counter on the bottom right of this page are the proof

    NO NO NO - no energy drinks to strong - Google it defiantly WLS people should not use 5 hour energy or any boosting drinks - You tummy is to small so it will do damage! Not eneogh surface are for them anymore
    My Doc Made it crystal clear days of Monster energy or 5 hour etc are over!
    however like above you can add caffeine to your Protein Drink - Little bitty bit

    No i totally understand Keto! The Miami diet, Dr akins, Slim fast, Oprah, and all the other diet plans ...........I can read! What I am saying is that is a diet, You need a lifetime balanced healthy eating schedule Not a diet.
    You are not on a diet, The Vets here will also tell you this. Took me a few months to read this site to figure that out, Bottom line You are on a lifestyle eating habits change for the better for life! Nobody said eat carbs or junk food.
    Took me a while to realize post WLS i was not on a diet, I was changing insane eating behavior and eating healthy and properly for life. During my journey except for some fasting was i never on a Diet. I understand it is not easy to get on this type of eating routine, But it is not a Diet it is your journey and your meal planning being healthy and under control that will give you what you are looking for.

    Ok why does this come up! You need to lead a balanced diet with proper foods. You are a WLS surgery patient Not a freakin Cave Man! You are starting a Journey.
    You are going to get Rocked on her as others help you. You need to get a Nutritional Plan Not some Fad Diet.
    Get on the journey bet get prepared. Search here for WLS meal plans
    Sorry to be so brash but you need to get organized the surgery is a Tool you have to set up and run the shop

    Every person here had second doubts - It is only a tool and it is a rough decision, but you are a addict you are addicted to unhealthy eating! This tool will help control this addiction and get you healthy if you follow the rules of the WLS Road.
    Only you can make the choice but i will tell you Most of us here will tell you it is the best decision we ever made!

    I agree with above! You body is fighting back and you need to fight back harder! A few things that worked for me at the end was to do some Intermittent fasting, Mix up my calorie intakes one day really low next day 1200. Worked for me

    I LOOK AT IT THIS WAY - NO F@#CKIN WAY AM I EVERY GOING TO DO THIS AGAIN, I BUSTED MY ASS TO GET THE FAT OFF AND THE ADDICTION UNDER CONTROL! IT SUCKED BUT I DID IT! SO NO WAY WILL I GO BACK TO BEING UNHEALTHY AND OUT OF CONTROL EATING HABITS! I LEARNED MY LESSON BIG TIME AND PAYED FOR IT.
    Now this is my time and no food is going to ever kill me again

    Going thru this now also - I have found WLS doctors to be not the go to - See a throat guy, My issue is also the throat from the Surgery. Seems the hose down your throat and the acid reflux caused a restriction. I am set to got in and stretch the throat shortly! Due to covid 19 a Freakin mess.
    Took me months to figure out why i could not eat alot, Thought it was a stricture but turned out to be a throat issue.
    Not to beat a dead horse but i had to resort to insane ways to get in calories, ensure drinks and yes i use candy and Junk food to pile on 300 calories a day. Things like crackers and Bar cheese, Fritos and dips, Halloween size candy bars stopped the loss. Be careful they can develop bad habits, I have insane will power so for me it is just calories, but Easy calorie boasters. Not good choices but can cause a stall if used properly.
    Go slow when i started i over did it and tossed it up! I mean really slow like two little candy bars a day Half at a time. the sugar will get you big time. Once i figure out how to get the surgery done will stop this bad behavior but for now buying me time

    Just did this post last week - I went thru the same thing and it took me a long time and even with a Nutrioshinist was a b***h to figure out. You are way worse then i got but here are my specs
    Started 377
    6 month later 165
    One year 220
    Scope: You are going to have to trick your body back into storing fat. This is not easy but I can be done, First thing get a ketones strips and make sure you are not in Ketosis. I was and that was hard to get out of. Check you testosterone level If that is messed up you gotta fix it. Next thing get your throat checked out you may have throat issues. I did and this made a huge difference on what i can take in. Simple Stretch and I was good to go.
    Now here is where i get bashed.
    I have no choice but to consume unhealthy foods - I keep my meal plan perfect in terms of all food groups and focus on soft Proteins. But i take in around 500 calories a day in bad food also with my balanced diet. I need to stay at 1300 calories a day. I keep a bowl of M and Ms on my desk, TIny little candy bars. Will take down a kids can of Chef Boy Arde. I have a cabinet full of chunky Soup, canned stews, Just high calorie food, so I slip one into my diet a day. dips and Spreads are my go to for example Bar cheese and Crackers, I have a aresonal of crackers cheese and spreads. Even went as far to get a can of Cheeze Whiz! Just snack foods that are high in calories and they keep my body tricked from burning off all the Good healthy food that i also eat.
    I also tried everything to stop losing and it did not work, One thing that may also help is The MRE powder, It is loaded up with calories and good things. I take a scope every day at lunch
    In summary mix up what you can do, Keep you Vitamins and Minerals balanced but sending different things at you body may cause a stall. For example I went off the Bad food for two weeks and started to loose again. You will find a mixture of Calories, Protiens, Carbs and sugar that you can handle.
    BE VERY CAREFUL WITH SUGAR, GO SO SLOW ITS SILLY IT WILL MAKE YOU SICK - For example I can only eat one peanut M and M per 10 minutes or one cheeze and cracker. You over due it you will pay for it.
    For all of you coming at me - This is common in Males, i have researched it and found many with the same problem, It was a b***h for me to get balanced and off the burn. He is in a Jam like i was, could not even lift a bag of dog food at 165 pounds. My ideal weight is 215-220 and It is going to take years to get the muscle back.
    I have incredibly will power but be careful if you can not control addiction to garbage food. In my mind it is a tool like a Vitamin to keep me on course. Not for pleasure
