  1. She asked my wife on Fb 12/31 at night how my pain level was? My wife said it was excruciating to watch me that much in pain. All my mother wrote back was; good maybe he will have a heart attach. I didn't know because my wife just told me about it.
  2. Kind of don't know how to proceed. I tried to call her and she must of blocked me. She has always been a person who just had me, not a true mother. I was working lawns and shoveling snow to eat at 7yrs old. She was always gone a couple of months at a time with different truck drivers since around 5yrs old.
  3. It's kinda weird that my mother who has been at my Aunt's house in Knoxville Tennessee. (around 65 miles away from me) She arrived 2 days before Thanksgiving. I asked her if she wanted to come eat with us around 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. She tried everyway she could for me not to have RNY Bariatric surgery. Needless to say that's why she never showed up for Thanksgiving. She is still at my Aunt's house and sent me a text. I am informing you that I will no longer be communicating with you. I hate you and maybe I can come to terms that my son is already thinner than me. Your a bastard. Signed your no longer mother. Go f**k yourself.
  4. I had my RNY on 12/31. Yesterday when I was discharged my surgeon told me I can shower when I got home. I have glue and little tape looking bandages that I am to take off next Wednesday if they don't come off by themselves. The bandages are in the glue from the cuts. Anyway I took a shower and just dabbed the wounds dry.
  5. I would very highly recommend a very comfortable recliner. See if you can get a family member or friend to let you borrow one. I would think renting a recliner would be my last way to get one myself. But if it's your only option than yes rent it. Your abs are going to be super sore for up to 3 weeks is what my surgeon told me today. If you try to roll into either side will piss your abs off even more. Everyone else who has had surgery can most likely tell you the same thing. IMG_20200102_124547.dng
  6. I guess the reason would be that the Opmeprozole can help repair the lining of your stomach?
  7. Is there anyone that could share an example of what is looked at on your lab work after a RNY bypass. Don't know if it is just Calcium, and different vitamins, exc.... My primary care physician has a full lab in his practice. He said if he knew what labs are drawn for then he will taylor it for me every 90 days and it won't cost anything through my insurance company. But if I have labs drawn anywheres else will cost me handsomely.
  8. After your RNY BYPASS how long did your doctor want you to take Opmeprozole?
  9. I have been home for around 30 minutes now, made a smoothie and I'm currently chilling in my ohhhhhhhh so comfortable recliner. The hospital didn't want to release me due to not being able to keep my blood pressure in check. Finally their pharmacist over ride them after finding out that I have meds for blood pressure at home. I've already taken on those pills. The swelling is minimal.
  10. As soon as your thinking divorce then it's ok to sleep in separate room. Just kidding.
  11. Just made it back home after my discharge. Abs are definitely sore. Just made a smoothie with a Dannon light and fit blueberry, Unsweetened almond milk, a single calcium citrate powder sleeve, whey protein Isolate and 3 large ice cubes. So good after the same chicken broth, lime Jell-O, and tea for the last 2 days.
  12. Very, very bad night. Felt like someone was holding a propane torch right up against my lower left front rib. The nurse gave me liquid hydrocodone and it didn't phase the pain. So next he gave some morphine to me with no relief. Last 2 hrs later he gave me Dilotid and Regilan or something like that, wow worked like charm.
  13. Here still waiting, got the IV in. Swished around some antiseptic mouthwash then had to swallow. Swallowed 2 Tylenol.
  14. Well I guess my answer is none, went ahead and took a shower, brushed my teeth, a gargled with mouthwash for 2 minutes. Will repeat with the mouthwash before I go out the door. To everybody having surgery today, good luck. Adios my friend's just in case.
