  1. I'm also having surgery on 12/31. But for a gastric bypass. Hopefully it will be uneventful and you will heal quickly. I've been on a liquid diet since the 24th. Seeing my family eat while I had chicken broth really sucked. Only thing I wished different is being able to talk my surgeon into a Dilatatal switch instead of a Gastric bypass. He said I didn't weigh enough. Long term results are better. It's going to suck around holidays but better than having weight related health problems. Hang in there. I have lost 57lbs since July.
  2. That's great you don't have to have the dreaded liquid diet. I lost 55lbs. In 3.5 months or so. I cut out all processed carbs and sugar including breads, flours, and breads. Love monk fruit/ erithritol sweetner though. I'm currently 232lbs. Was 287lbs back in the summer. I am 5'6", I was 5'8" before my lumber spinal fusion in 2010. So I'm shrinking due to spinal disc collapsing. I'm also having the surgery for metabolic reasons and to lighten the load on my all of my arthritic joints. I have been diagnosed with Diabetes type 2 in the summer that's when I cut out sugars except for the Dannon fit and light greak yogharts. I really hope you do well with your surgery. My stomach is gurgling so loud right now. Wow. Time for a protein isolate shake.
  3. If you don't mind me asking, where is your surgery going to be and how much did you loose on your first day of a liquid diet? I lost 4lbs. last night. I also rechecked as I do every morning right after I pee. I was still down 4lbs.. Even after putting in 128 oz. of water yesterday.
  4. I hope as well that your RNY stays uneventful and fast pain free healing.
  5. It might interest you to know that sweet tea made with monk fruit/erithritol taste just like it has sugar in it. Wife even drinks it. She has told me it's more expensive but she love cooking and baking with it. No guilt sweetness without the calories and zero on the glycimic index for diabetics. Wife don't even have diabetes. She still bakes for herself, as I stay completely away from processed carbs.
  6. I would say your pretty safe there. I actually have a 60 servings bag of it and, I'm planning on using it with my decaffeinated coffee and coffee mate sugar fee fat free creamer ( it's great). I tried it about a month ago when I received the Genepro. Found out about the lawsuit after purchasing. Will say one thing good. Works well in my coffee. Wife even likes it. Hope this helps you.
  7. Think I'm gonna be ready for surgery. Going to my surgeon's office tomorrow. And to be a full mornings test at the hospital. It's getting closer. Took this picture for the surgeon's nurse.
  8. Yes, roasted brussel sprouts, carrots, onions, spray canola oil, and Hillshire smoked turkey sausage in our Cuisinart air fryer are wonderful. Eat them at least once to twice a week.
  9. Your damned lucky it didn't hurt. I've bent the hospitals S.S. side rails inward before from the pain. I asked the nurse to just shoot me. It sucks.
  10. I'm having RNY bypass 12/31/19. In Cookeville TN. I hope your surgery goes well and uneventful. [emoji40]
  11. Good luck on your sleeve! My RNY is on 12/31. Counting down the days.
  12. Probably a weird questions but was trying to get info.
  13. I'm just loosing weight before the RNY and in the last month I'm averaging 2 times a week, use to be daily.
  14. Just wondering if you go everyday or like twice a week.
  15. If you are craving sugar, get a good tasting substitute like monk fruit. It's good without the guilt. I'm not here to bash anybody, but we all have problems. If you still have a sweet tooth, at least get in your protein and water first. Then substitute the sugars. Hope this helps.
  16. Sports now nutrition whey protein Isolate 25g unflavored 81 servings is the same way. I know it is good as waffles, and a shake with Unsweetened almond milk, stevia or monk fruit sweetner, and 2 tbsp Hershey's sugar free syrup blended. Wife loves them also.
  17. Genepro just loss a law suit. They are comparing the products30 grams a serving to others 33.3 gram scoops. 1 tbsp has 14.3 grams in a tablespoon. Couldn't prove with science how 30 grams gets squeezed into 14.3 grams. So each scoop max would be 14.3 grams at the most. The products 14.3 grams may be as absorbing as well as 30 grams, I think not. That's why they got sued.
  18. Now Sports Whey Protein Isolate unflavored. Liked the 5lbs. I ordered so much that I ordered another 5lbs. today. Go's good with the Blue Diamond Unsweetened almond milk, 2 packets of Stevia, And a squirt of Hershey's sugar free syrup. Even my wife want them. If you can handle cold drinks then add a handful of ice. [emoji7] P.S. The Isolate is 2 ingredients whey protein Isolate and Sunflower lectin. It's better mixed in a blender or nutra bullet. It made up some waffles fine.
  19. The hardest thing about getting ready for the surgery is the counting down the days till surgery.
