Weight loss stats!
I am not "crazy." See attached image. Why so mean by name calling people "crazy." I replied to Mikey. I have no idea why the system also tagged you, Kerrylucas16.

Anyone with PCOS not lose weight after surgery
You will! hang in there. I know it is so hard but this will work.. slowly but surely just stick to the eating plan and definitely drink all of your water... You can do this. WE can do this.

Anyone with PCOS not lose weight after surgery
absolutely a calorie isn't just a calorie and if it was calories in or out then at 500 cals a day post up we'd all lose like 7lbs every single week. it doesn't work that way and so many Drs are ignorant of this fact.

Weight loss stats!
I did read it carefully, you merely said a 2 week liquid diet but it didn't specify if that was "Pre"- ("I had my surgery on the 19th of this month and already down 44 lbs! 20 of it due to a two week liquid diet?.") And after surgery we are all on liquids. Its an honest mistake. Not sure why i deserve the snarky "if you read carefully" remark. Regardless, 44 in a month is still a huge amount. Congratulations.

I feel discouraged.
FluffyChick what did your menu typically look like back then when you were doing 400-500 cals a day and yet getting in so much protein. you mentioned it was your super power. I have no idea how to get in that much protein a day for so few calories without shakes. Would you mind sharing a typical menu?

I feel discouraged.
My nutritionist said the same amount (actually she said 1300!!) and then I told my DR and he said NO WAY THAT WRONG. So Id go by the Dr over ab nutritionist. He said that for the next six months should stay between 500-700 and if I find I am exercising A LOT then maybe 800-900 max so I think your calories are way too high. My surgery was 9/4 and Im at around 600 average but some days Im in the 400s others im in closer to 700 and i am working out about 4 days a week. I am hypo as well so I think we just lose slower because of that but I dont even know how i Could get in 1200 a day unless i ate all day long. My Dr said 1200/day Once i reach maintenance.

Weight loss stats!
This is me too. But ultimately you lost all of your excess weight so thats awesome. Might I ask what you did, if anything, to get through the slow weight loss? did you find anything that helped move it along faster? About how much did you weight loss did you average a month? Whats calories did you average per month. I am having such a hard time dealing with the snail like pace of my weight loss. Congrats on meeting your goal

Hunger?
How many weeks out are you. Is it real hunger like your stomach growls or emotional hunger out of habit? I never ever feel hunger but at times my brain says Eat... Soft solids fill me up way faster than shakes or purees. Maybe just focus on the foods that fill you up quickly so you eat less.

Weight coming off too slow
I totally get your disappointment and frustration. My first week I lost ten and in the first month 18 which is super disappointing when you see others lose 30 in a month or 20 in a week! I struggle daily with the disappointment that I seem to be a slow loser...but 15 lbs is AMAZING in two weeks. Thats over 7lbs a week. so things are going great.

Eating Salad
Same! I am four weeks out and I just started soft foods, let alone salad on week 2? Why are there so many discrepancies depending on the Drs. Is makes it very confusing because then how do you know what is right?

Keto vs. No Keto
There are plain greek yogurts with WAY less carbs and calories out there. Fage Total 0% fat for 1 whole cup has - 23g Protein, 7 carbs 0 Fat. Try switching up your yogurt. Chiobani is not the best for what you are trying to do and has too much sugar too. Skyr icelandic yogurt is great too.

?️ ?️ What's on the Menu? ?️ ?️
So I met with my nutritionist RN today and she was not helpful AT ALL. I am 4 weeks post op and she said I should be at 1300 calories a day!!!!!!! I looked at her like she had three heads. 1) who can eat that much 4 weeks post op?!!!! 2) the pamphlet my Dr gave me after surgery said i should be between 400-600 so I have no idea WTF she was talking about. I was like, that's super high my Dr said 600 ( and btw the RN is in the bariatric department!). I would gain weight if i ate that much, not that I can at this point. Anyway, rant over but then Drs wonder why we go to the internet for answers ( this is exhibit A your honor) . So anywhoo I find better information from others actually going through this process. I was doing IF and OMAD before Surgery.... what has your experience been of doing that post surgery? do you feel it works well for you or on such low calories, do you feel woozy? What is your eating window and do you ever fast for a full day?
