No bowel movement

Three weeks post surgery I was moving my bowels regularly but now have six without any movement, is that normal?

I dunno but it hit me at four weeks. Get some mirilax. That is what saved me, I ended up going to the DR. and getting a brown bomber... Goggle it

I found that miralax everyday and MOM every 2 or 3 days works magic in my life.

If I start hitting Day 3 and I had been eating actual food (am almost 8 weeks out but have days when my pouch was irritated so went back to a soft/pureed stage), I will try a stool softener but definitely by day 3 or 4, I'm taking MOM.

This was approved by my doctor. I just had to take something this morning...sigh...

I'm over four years out and still take a capful of Miralax every morning. If it gets to be three or four days without "going", then I take MOM. That probably happens once or twice a month these days...

I have trouble all the time .I think I dont drink enough water consistently but when I need a clean out I do 2 tablespoons of epsensalt in water with half a lemon juice and 2 hours later i am going. This always seems to work right at the 2 hour mark.

Mag citrate. Just don't plan on going anywhere for at least a day after.

Milk of Magnesia. A Godsend to many of us...
