  1. i had the worst type of heartburn/ gerd for years took nexium for years everyday for it. would always wake up clearing my throat coughing due to reflex that came up when i was sleeping..but after the sleeve and significant weight loss plus the addition of a adjustable bed so my head is way above my stomach has helped that i stopped taking my nexium..
  2. actually after surgery is less of a problem then it was before the surgery now with a smaller stomach..
  3. i was using whey protein shakes after i stopped using them the problem has disappeared.
  4. i take bariatric pal multi vitamin 1.. once a day it has all i need including 45 of iron plus 1000 mg vitamin b 12...
  5. has anyone had constant diarrhea mainly because of your protein shakes..i stopped taking them for a few days and have had no issues since....
  6. i suffered from gastric reflux disease for years.i had to take nexium..i would cough all the time... following surgery i have lost a lot of weight and my reflex has gone away.. but i have started to drink diet soda again and my reflex issues are coming back so i have to take nexium again
  7. one of the biggest culprits to causing heartburn is soda....
  8. this is my 7th week and i can't really eat any more than i did a month ago...which is not much...
  9. i guess if you don;t binge eat or go it will never reach the original size but you can double the size you have now..especially if you binge eat..
  10. from what i read the pouch will stretch over time that is normal for the sleeve..
  11. if you watch my 600 pound life one of the patients who had gastric sleeve stretched out his pouch so much he gained 188 pounds in 2 months the first time.. and gained 266 pounds in 2 months another time..you can stretch out your pouch by a lot...
  12. it's been 5 weeks post surgery and i'm still not eating much... not that i do not want to it is just i am not hungry and if i try to eat something more i feel full quickly... when does your ability to expand what you eat happens?
  13. the first week i could not sleep much.. trying to lie down with a super sore stomach was impossible.. i had to sleep sitting in a chair.. only after i took my pain pills...now more than a month later i sleep normal...
  14. by the end of week 4 you will feel like you never had surgery....
  15. the diet is to so call shrink your liver they say before surgery but if you watch shows like my 600 pound life even people over 600 pounds they can do the surgery even with a a fatty liver.. and most people are less than half that size....
  16. congrats we are all human and once in a while we want to enjoy the foods we use to...
  17. heck i really did not follow the pre opt diet except for one day before surgery lol..
  18. welcome to my world the first 10 days after surgery i was in horrific pain i had to take my pain meds every 4 hours...i could not sleep or lie down i had to sleep sitting in a chair.. good thing about the pain meds they made you very sleepy so i got some sleep in...
  19. they discharged me as long as you keep fluids down and are able to walk you only need to spend one night in hospital and get released the next day after gastric sleeve...
  20. has anyone had any complications following gastric sleeve surgery... a little more than a day after surgery i developed breathing issues i got checked out and doc said i had aspiration pneumonia i got treated and i am doing fine now...
  21. 2 weeks 2 days out from surgery lost 18 pounds
  22. when you ate eggs for the first time after the surgery how did it feel? today was my first time it was kinda rough i felt very full...
  23. being unconscious during the operation helped a lot
