  1. Anyone try Stur? I love it! No aspartame or sucralose.
  2. I really liked reading these. Traveling in an airplane - I have avoided it because I have been fearful of the seat belt issue and the tiny seats. This is a mean one, but I want to be smaller than my sister. She is about 150 lbs and she thinks she is better than me and anyone else that is bigger than her. Cuddling with my husband as a small person. Not being a slave to food cravings. No more secret eating because I don't want the average sized people seeing the fat-girl eat.
  3. You can do this! You go girl!
  4. This is a great question. I look forward to hearing some answers. I was thinking I will have some bone broth. Did anyone have their spouse/relative make some stock for them?
  5. I appreciate your response and the information. I think I am going to do like you are and try some different protein drinks. We have this thin women inside of us trying to get out, we need to give those women the right fuel for the fight.
  6. Gabybab, you hit the nail on the head. I think that some people can feel Superior to us if they are thinner. If they are pushy about you revealing your weight loss "secret" to them then you can be blunt and say you don't want to talk about it.
  7. I can really see the difference in your face! I am so happy for you!
  8. Your english is GREAT. Thank you for replying.
  9. Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it. When will you be getting your surgery? Which one did you choose?
  10. Wow! Thank you for sharing this! Can you tell us what was the easiest part for you and what was the hardest? Do people treat you differently?
  11. IDK, I do have to get a psych evaluation done. Scheduled for June already. My event was that my dog passed away and my husband was diagnosed with MS. We are fine with the MS, he is doing great. I am still morning my dog. But I do not think that is it. Maybe I am just relieved that I will be getting some help to get out of this fat suit I have worn my entire life. Who knows.
  12. If you have the next door app, check and see if one of your neighbors would be willing to pick you up. I noticed that it happens all the time on my neighborhood nextdoor app. Do you belong to a church? Ask someone there. Do you live in my area? I will help ya ?
  13. Hello everyone, I had a great day today. I had my first surgical consultation and the doctor is amazingly nice. My husband went along and he became extremely supportive after hearing the surgeon's perspective. At the appointment she asked me what changed in 2018 that made me gain to my highest weight ever. I broke down crying and have been crying off and on since. Did any of you experience this after your appointment? I am happy that I will be getting the surgery. I have a wonderful spouse and a good life. Why am I so emotional?
  14. Today was my first consult with the surgeon. My husband was very "ok" with it prior to the appointment. At the appointment the surgeon was very honest about the surgery benefits and such, and he became very supportive and involved. He wants to go to the nutritionist appointment and the fitness consult. Maybe your's needs to go to the appointment and hear from an outside person why you need the surgery?
  15. Congrats on stopping smoking! I am new too. I just had my first appointment today. I am so excited. My husband went with me and he is being very supportive. Do you have someone that can cheer you on? If not, I will do it!
  16. If they ask if and how you lost weight you could also say "Oh, I hope so! I have been trying to be healthier." Its really vague and may deflect the attention
  17. I am wondering about this too. I can work from home on my work laptop. Does anyone thing they were well enough to do that? I can also do 6 weeks of short term disability.
  18. Thank you for sharing this. I am pre-op. Had my first appointment today. I have been discussing it with my life long BFF and she responds sorta odd. She tells me about a co-worker who had a bad experience with bariatric surgery or she just changes the subject. We are both nurses so I expected a little different response. That being said, I have a friend from work who I have discussed it with and she is super supportive. She gets excited for me and wants to know everything. She is very encouraging and basically like my own little cheerleader.
  19. Do you people treat you all differently? I wonder if you are no longer invisible.
