Food Tracking App
I use Baritastic and like it very much. I used to use fit bit before surgery but haven't in a while. I noticed for myfitnesspal they asked to upgrade to premium for some of the features so I decided not to use it.

4th of July food?
At one month out grill chicken and hamburger was not allowed. Even now at 2 months chicken is to dense on my stomach and always feel stuck. Deviled eggs is a good option.

Fruits and Veggies
My dietitian recommended water Mellon, berries, cantaloupes and those high in fiber while avoiding the more sugary fruits. I told her that I like cherries and she said sure, unfortunately cherries are heavy on my stomach. When eating fruits its best to eat with a protein, cottage cheese, yogurt etc. Always check with your plan of course.

Got done yesterday
The give me, chicken broth, jello, yogurt and mashed potatoes. I was only able to eat maybe 2 spoonful of yogurt and a bit of the chicken broth. jello was way to sweet. I mainly sipped on water and ice chipped.

Just when I thought I had no more questions - clear liquids question!!
Don't stress over it. Look on the bright side you are almost there. I did purchased jello and Popsicle for post op and ended up not liking them because they were just to sweet. Glad my daughter ate the Popsicle, the jello was a different story. The gave me a jello while in in recovery and I wanted nothing to do with it. My daughter ended up eating some of the jello and took some to school for her friends. In the end I ended tossing the rest. So just take in to consideration that your taste buds will change. To date 2 months out and I still hate everything that is sweet. I drink my protein shakes just to reach my protein goals. Wishing you the best!

Denied and Grieving
I am sorry to hear that you were denied after completing all the requirements. How could they denied you after you paid the surgeon in full. Your BMI is low but you mentioned that you have sleep apnea and high blood pressure which is 2 qualifying commodities. I hope you are able to proceed with the surgery.

Exercising after the sleeve...
You can definitely start walking outdoors or on the treadmill. I tried the elliptical machine around the first ir 2nd week, but I didn't have the strength so I stuck with the threadmill. I started spinning around the 4th week. 8-9 lbs in 6 days is great. I also agree with catwoman 15-25lbs is average so prepare yourself for that. Everyone loose at different rate.

Slimfast
My plan does not include slimfast before or after surgery.

Rate of weight loss
Yes the heavier a person is the more drastic the weight loss is, aong with other factors. Men also tend to loose weight faster than women. Remember if someone start of at say at 350lbs and you started off at 250lbs you may reach your goal weight first, providing you stick to the program. Another reason why we should not compare our weight lost with others.

Venting my depression
I am sorry that your husband lost his job, remember behind every no there is a yes. You will get over the pureed stage and will be eating other variations of food very soon. Remember why you had the surgery done. Be strong for your family especially the kids. My kids always know when I am sad. Stay positive for them. Talk it out with a therapist, especially if you had emotional issues with food before the surgery. Wishing you and your family the best.

feeling cold..
I am always under a blanket. My office was always cold before the surgery where I had to purchase a small heater. I currently have used it every day since surgery.

Weight lost stall after 9 months
I definitely agree that we all loose at different rate. When long term 60lbs is a great weight loss so far and I agree if you are not tracking you should. My program is between 800cal-1000cal, but I never go over 800 cal .Protein is 60g-100g still trying to hit 60g. My dietitian told me aim for 60g Talk to your dietitian and to go over your daily intake to see if there is any changes you can make. Exercise is also very important. I also encourage you to attend a support group. Don't be discouraged you can do this!!

Rate of weight loss
We are our biggest critics. You will do fine especially that you are exercising. Currently I spin, work out on the elliptical and treadmill and was jut cleared weights. You will be successful continue to do what you are suppose to do. Don't pay no attention to those that loose an enormous amount of weight in one month. Your success is your very own and you are doing amazing so far.

Losing slow but I’m happy
I agree with you completely!! You look fantastic and have done amazing so far.
