Saggy Sophie no more. Plastic surgery to the rescue!
Post op day 17 Yay! I wore street clothes for the first time since surgery Jan. 21st to surgeons follow-up appointment yesterday. She said I was doing stellar. No swelling or healing issues. The tape was taken off all the stitches, and I am due back in 4 weeks. She would like me to continue wearing the compression garments (so I bought a second pair) for a total of eight weeks stating it's okay to take them off for an hour once a day, if bothersome. Actually, for me it's like a safe cozy body cocoon. A little black S&M fashion look? LOL. Guess I need to order a crop (will my English saddle riding jumping crop, do!?) kinky black stockings, handcuffs, black leather boots + belt? Haha. She prescribes that by wearing the compression the body can continue to heal, contour and evolve for premium results. Also, I am not to pad nor gauze any longer as she said the skin now needs to relearn their friction and sensory systems again. Come bedtime - I continue to prop up my back with pillow array and two under my thighs. Nothing else too exciting or exotic to report... Fluffy chick toy still a hit. Posies from a client.

Me, too! I love the way I look and to whom I am becoming at 60, especially in contrast to my previous 40 - 50's self. Given all the dream girls and their bodies aside (of course, it is wonderful to have a worthy dose of inspiration)... As long as it does not cloud our judgment, vision and body image that we are in fact each beautiful starlets in our own right. There will always be flaws and more to find if I seek to look for them. Of course, my bat wing arm shows through my left sleeve velvet sweater! But how many times will I be posing like that? And, I have yet to begin a toning program. I am okay with imperfect. I remind my clients perfection is neurotic but we will pursue excellence. I believe my all or nothing mindset in the past helped to fuel my obesity. I will not re-engage or jeopardize how far I have come. I hope you won't either? And, having been a professional model during college and grad school - models from the agency were starving, mean, unhappy, insecure and miserable souls. My heart bleed for them. Their beauty was truly only skin deep. Beauty to me is an internal temperature that will radiate hot or cold on the exterior. Wow, I celebrate all our unknown and yet to be discovered movie stars here on our threads. What an honor to express our fears, disappointments, frustrations, as well as our dreams, hopes and triumphs, too.

LOOK at that heart shaped cookie! What a natural beauty. Wow. I don't think I know of her? Just looked her up - an American model 5'5", pin-up, fitness expert and body builder. She's now 84. I wonder how she aged? Never had pretty legs like her BUT LOOK she's wearing flats! That shows her confidence. Gotta love those California girls! Here's to you Body by Betty. What a wonderful role model then and now. Thanks for sharing this SL. Very cool.

I think that is a great idea and goal!!! You are such a pretty woman with many years ahead to enjoy. You are right. Just like a front door is to our home, the face is to our bodies. Your face before the world is a worthy investment. When were are you thinking? This summer or fall in time for the holiday season? Keep remembering how adorable your elf outfit was this past Christmas...

Bobby does battle with the ice dispenser and vacuum cleaner monsters, too! It is a riot. Wonder what they could be thinking? My idea of heaven is hundreds of frisky Wires AND Jack Russels running all about! Right!?

Day 15 post op My second official long warm shower with compression garments off! Only I ran out of hot water. Maybe I should qualify that as a very long, long, long, long shower! Haha. It felt so good. A definite team effort. While Sophie takes her shower - the boys zealously wash and then, dry garments in the closet with a blow dryer for a fast turn around. Pretty exciting stuff for Bobby, the wire fox terrier. It did not hurt to re-armor this time as last. The breasts felt tight and the tummy is flattening. Again, I share these as clinical not personal. I see the surgeon tomorrow for my 16th day check up and I think the tape comes off over the stitches with new garment instructions? I feel so much better after the constipation subsided around day 12. Hopefully, that system is regaining normalcy. This is certainly not a surgical procedure for the faint hearted. I am still very pleased with the decision to have had removed the 5 pounds of excess stretched skin. Still a long road ahead... physically and emotionally. Last night was a great comic relief! And, battling that big bad hair dryer was simply exhausting notes the pouch.

These black and brown outfits just frame your new sculpted figure to perfection! You are really coming into your own. Here's to a stellar work year grand finale with associates that are supportive AND know the treasure they have in you inside and out. These are the coolest boots!!! For these boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do (love that Nancy Sinatra song)... for Silly Kitty is walking right over you 2020 with endless possibilities, potential and realized dreams (a little rephrased). Haha. A toast to a very, very happy new year! Meow.

Still awaiting my vintage sock monkey PJ's to replace the old 3X ones... No deliveries today. BUT hubby returned after his haircut and grocery run for chili fixings with these new friends for Bobby @ Woof Gang bakery. He gave to Bobby several opportunities to select his favorite AND unequivocally, it's the Fluffy Chick! Now, why would none of us here be surprised by that choice? See what happens when your compression garments after 11 days become your constant OOTD fashion statement and faithful companion! Maybe mine is pulled a little too tight. LOL. Going slightly stir crazy here. Any fun Super Bowl outfits in those closets!?

You'll get there babe! Think major surgery. Minor setbacks. Amazing things yet to accomplish when the bod is ready.

Saggy Sophie no more. Plastic surgery to the rescue!
Day 10 post op Yesterday was a good but a tiring day. Took a long nap and slept in this morning. My surgeon removed the three draining tubes (no more Hawaiian fruit punch hanging off me! She laughed at my rather creative analogy)... AND said I looked like a patient 2 + weeks out! She was so pleased with the excellent progress and wound response. I finally had a good bowel movement in three parts, too. It took a little coaxing, but I could tell things were seriously compacting (as they did after sleeve) SO there was much relief from that aspect. Continue to remain low key and take things day by day. A little sore at drain sites. And, I did ask her if she did in fact tighten abdominal muscles on day of surgery. She said yes, and wanted to be sure we received optimal results! Okay then. Now I know where that horrific pain was coming from the day of my shower. And, why my appetite is still not up to speed. Apparently, one is not hungry after the tightening. Who knew? All is good. I see her next Wednesday for another follow-up. She's the best. I am so pleased and feel in very good hands in the recovery phase, too. Look forward to my two week milestone. ;]
