You look so FAB today! Love your curly Q hair. It frames your face so nicely.

OMG I coveted that ms.sss cropped soft sparkly top!!! Right?! And, you'd certainly define it better than the mere mannequin!

Love you in dramatic like your Christmas dress, as well as romantic dresses with a great cropped jean jacket, cool belt and casual heels. As ms.sss stated you have an awesome fluid figure along with beautiful hair + eyes... You can pull off so many styles depending upon your mood! ;]

Oh will you take some pictures of your upcoming Bunya Mountain trip along with some of your bush outfits! I keep thinking Out of Africa movie - loved all M. Streep character's clothing! Searching for that classic crisp white cotton detailed blouse to go with dress jeans and khakis + wide belt... scoured everywhere to no avail. Love your shoe find and pretty pedicure. ;]

Thanks! I'd love to wear a patent leather black open sandal heels BUT just not an option - soooo I selected these mesh black shoes and with them thinking very sheer nude, right? You'd love the details on dress. I'll take close-ups when dress is in my possession after alterations. The shoes are actually very pretty black suede and mesh band in front and sides... less very swelled feet. Very humid day yesterday... going to see GP in March about all the puffiness? Also, I do have a pretty pair of nude pointy flats... that maybe nice, too? So sad I can't add a few inches to my frame and silhouette! ;[

I need to shop for some nice jeans this week, too! All my slim bottoms are sportswear. What kind of soup? I love soup! I'm coming over for dinner...

However, my shopping excursion did not end there with the cocktail dress. I couldn't help but be inspired by some other wonderful day dreaming things for our some of our thread participants as follows: 1. Killer plaid jacket for greentealael 2. Feminine dresses for Kay's mommy 3. Cool Jeans, slinky top and exquisite heels for ms.sss 4. Stunning high heels for bayougirlmrs.s 5. Way cool outfit for fluffychix (love the new style with one shirt tail out) 6. The Milou shop definitely made for angiebear! 7. Fabulous blue tunic, white jeans and satchel for sheribear 8. Sexy heels for none other than sillykitty 9. A classic casual outfit - I think many of us would favor especially the khaki jacket 10. Gorgeous nubby top with white slacks for orchids&dragon 11. Really unique adjustable necklace for some of Arabesque's stylishly smashing black outfits. Had lot's of FUN! It's a designer thing... ;]

Like greentealael and ms.sss - I'm putting to the test new figure measurements and experimenting with how clothing is now fitting. Fell in love with this appliquéd cocktail evening dress yesterday for upcoming design award gala this May. It is a size 8 and fits appropriately except shoulders need raised and sleeves lengthened utilizing mesh that is also found on dress detailing. New shoes, too. A little ankle swelling due to previous knee injury. Will model again when all put together...hair included! Question: Soft black or nude hosiery?

Wow! What a body beautiful. This V-neck tied detail top looks fantastic on accentuating all that is wonderful. Did you get it in different color ways?

    We ladies approve!

Your hair is so pretty in this picture. I really like this cut and look on the trimmer you. Hubby and I are your exact combination. He's the quiet more reserved and as you know, I am Ms. perky - all out there kinda of gal. I agree - it's the day to day that really keeps the embers burning steady. But, again - those dreamy blue eyes would make up for any shortfalls. Haha. Hubby is coming home early from the office today to take us out to lunch to avoid the crowds. We are headed to our favorite Thai place. Not a very exciting outfit but most comfortable...By the way, tell Mr. Angiebear - I'd be lost without my weekly dose of my New Yorker Magazine cartoons. Pure genius comics are.

Looking sensational, Mr. Snapcase! Maybe add a nice red boutonniere to your grey lapel to let the available ladies know there's a fantastic bachelor in town... Happy Valentine's Day - You have worked so diligently. Keep up the good fight and you will be at your goal soon. ;]

Look out, our cats on the prowl again... Have a fabulous Valentine's getaway, meow. x o ;]

Your tropical guest suite awaits you anytime! That's right, I did forgot your temps are -30 below today. That was a bit cruel... I keep forgetting we live in polar opposite climates. However, can you at least model the slinky outfit you were going to wear tonight? Dying to see how the fruits of your labor these past few months have rendered sweet rewards!

What a HANDSOME HUBBY! Love his absolutely dreamy blue eyes. Where did you meet? 27 years... that's awesome. I love your snow shots! Keep them coming... So very refreshing given our 88 humid and unseasonably hot day + winter overall. We have enough of that come summer. ;[
  17. Day 25 post op I ventured out yesterday for the first time on my own driving to ladies book club, shopping for a gift and a light lunch. Bobby pouted - he's use to having Mom home 24/7 of late. The excursion was 9:00am - 2:30pm. I noted in the department store - I was beginning to fatigue and felt a bit dizzy. So I headed on home. It was great to be out and about on a balmy breezy 86 degree day (not too hot in the compression garments) however, certainly do not have my normal sprint or stamina back yet. When dressing, I did note I looked slimmer in frontal region. For now I just prefer soft cotton and stretchy outfits against my body. Happy Valentines Day!

Well... not quite ready to paint the town in RED for this Valentine's Day BUT did want to send posies in honor of all on our thread. Congratulations and continued success in all you have each accomplished! Wishing you and yours a fabulous Saint Valentines Day and evening. Excited to see the garbs, too!

AMEN SISTER! AND AGAIN, I SAY AMEN!
  20. Sophie7713 replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
This is pure music to my ears! I wrote a series of three published articles on this subject matter at hand - I will send them on. I think you and your students would find them so refreshing! :] Your curves are beautiful and we each celebrate the body type given to us. It is all about our health, wholeness and well being that matters most. The slimmer and fit body is just candy dressing. But isn't it wonderful to be lighter on your feet when instructing now? And, to wear fun things like your students! Would you believe at hubbies recent 60th surprise party (at a steak house) - two married men guests came on to me - like if you ever find yourself single... Egregious! I wanted to slap them. And, I wanted to reply but I did not: My husband whom we are celebrating tonight lest you have forgotten while overtaken by my beauty (haha)... Is the consummate gentleman, lover and best friend who has loved me heavy, in-between and slender AND you my friend, don't even come close to making that cut. Go eat your steak! (implying the meat market mentality at best) - So very sad, but not surprising you are now worthy in the eyes of your male colleagues. What twits! A wonderful paper could be written on all the social implications we have each experienced by both men and women. Right!? Maybe a new thread topic: The Good, bad and the ugly: How others SEE and PRECIEVE you now?
  21. Ohhhhh I want a few bottles!!! Do you deliver? Haha.
  22. Have you ever thought of coming to the states like our cities NYC, LA, Miami, Atlanta, Boston or Chicago to shop? I, too, have trouble fitting into clothing that is sized correctly, well-constructed (like you said, art) and proportioned for petite XS and, in some cases XXS. The surrounding villages/towns of all these major cities have amazing boutique shoppes to your absolute delight! Have you ever shopped at Saks Fifth Avenue? I have found some nice ready made dresses, slacks and unique pieces in suitable sizes. Bloomingdales, too. Their sales can be very rewarding as I re-build my classic wardrobe slowly. All my shoes and beautiful couture full figure clothing are all gone now. I grieved them - I wanted to look nice even in a size 1, 2 or 3X. Whomever adopts them is one lucky individual considering not only their cost, excellent condition but the time, effort and travel to procure them... My garment seamstress has quickly become my best friend. Shopping on line is simply not the same experience. I hate to think we might loose all our fine department stores. Wish there could be a balance. I like amazon, too. And, I like to support our local businesses as well. The average American size is now 12 in the states but has shifted to a 10. The American consumer does not want to admit that they are actually a size 12 or 14. Clothing sizes have shifted upwards and should be taken with a grain of salt fueled by deceptive advertising + marketing + sales. True sizing can still be found in high-end boutiques, most designer goods and vintage shops. And, they will tell you the truth via your measurements. I love upscale consignment shops especially garments made in the 40's, 50's, 60's and labeled small...they really are an authentic small! I feel for you. Not shopping too much yet after plastics but know I will have a similar issue. I like quality not quantity - mix and match and eclectic.

AngieBear!!! This outfit looks fantastic on you! The high waist skirt so flattering and stylish with buttons. Definitely a wardrobe keeper and worth taking in when the time comes... I love the way you punctuated with black on top and bottom with necklace to die for. You must feel like a million bucks $$$$$ today because you certainly look it! Wow. What have your students said about the new you?!

    Hi handsome work husband! ;]
  25. Sophie7713 replied to sillykitty's topic in The Lounge
Still hanging out in healing mode at home in my cozy compression garments + PJ's as my outfit for the month. Haha. Although the scarf does add a little pizazz, right? ;] But found new color way in that sparkly flat shoe with more neutral undertones to blend better with 25th gala ensemble. Designed the vest and ascot for hubby. Seamstress did a phenomenal job. She's now working on the sketch dress I submitted for our original matron of honor. Hubby was a penguin 25 years ago. This time, I thought the mid-grey tux (although the model looks 15!) with cool grey shoes + block socks were really hip + stylish for our gentlemen vow renewal party at 60 and older, but certainly young at heart. I think hubby gets more distinguished with age.
