  1. A UW grad!!!! It's a cheesehead. We love when you come to town for Penn State football, that is. My hometown is State College, PA. I understand Madison is a beautiful college town, as well. I have always wanted to visit. And, I have yet to meet a cheese product I didn't love! A cheeseburger in your honor. ;]
  2. Adorable! Alicia Keyes is timeless... Love her current commercial.
  3. Okay, then. I'm coming up for dinner! A big YUM. Your chicken looks so tender...
  4. Never thought of freezing them...Fun! Red grapes, a staple in our refrigerator. Just had some for lunch. Great minds think alike. Haha.
  5. Navy ham & bean soup tonight and chia cacao pear pudding for dessert.
  6. Roasted Cuban carnitas with onions, brown rice and salad with citrus vinaigrette last night. Leftovers tonight. ;]
  7. Oh Cheeseburgh, Miami was a brilliant and vibrant city to live + work as a young designer! A lot of up and coming talent on the scene... Loved it. My sorority sister from U of Miami dated Don Johnson briefly when he was separated on and off from Melanie Griffith. But before fame - the real heart throb was Andy Garcia, a senior when I was a freshman at FIU. On the weekends, all us girls would hit Coconut Grove to hear our favorite band - The Miami Sound Machine featuring unknown Gloria Estefan, at that time. Fun. I still crank up her greatest hits for dancing! ;]
  8. Simple salad for today's lunch. Would have loved some of those dates on it! We are painting and re-decorating my home office + studio this weekend while marinated pork carnitas are slow roasting in oven for our Cuban supper tonight, as a DIY reward! LOL. Adore authentic Cuban food having spent many years living in Miami/Coral Gables. Did set designs for Miami Vice show, too. Anyone remember the original show with Don Johnson? When Billy Crocket went undercover to penetrate the drug cartel... we did his character's ultra-sleek luxury modern home on Biscayne Bay. Long days on set design we'd order Cuban take-out delivery. Yum! Feeling rather sentimental these days... Thanks for letting me ramble on. ;]
  9. Some wonderful delectables for Mom Tealael this weekend celebration! I have never tried foxnuts? How do they taste? ;]
  10. We just gave up on the zucchini spiral thing for pasta and sauce. Even tried to flash fry on high heat to omit watery results. Failure. I love a good Bolognese sauce - So, we now have it over baked spaghetti squash which has work pretty well. And, trying to learn to enjoy sauce without being over former homemade pastas. Being half Italian - I really do miss the family recipes handed down for generations but healthier for it. ?
  11. Little lettuce sandwich for lunch today with leftover meatloaf from take-out last evening. Ate it all. Happy Mother's Day weekend to all you fabulous Mom's out there! My fur son after the groomers yesterday waiting patiently for some cheddar cheese and peanut bites. ;]

I know, I know - Definitely nothing exhilarating as bayou bikini!... But did add a little splash to our rather monotonous casual attire out for errands this past weekend. Anyone know what day this is!? Amazing evening walk at dusk yesterday. Uplifting peonies from our garden.

Uooolala... Good for you spicing up lock down. This outfit for the day should certainly aid to the recovery of hubby in no time! ;]
  14. Drum roll, please! Here's ms.sss inspiring sweet potato and corn chowder. It is over the top delicious like silly kitty's herbed chicken & wild rice soup. Hubby likes both recipes and is thrilled they'll become regulars on the menu. I used just a smidgen of maple bourbon bacon from Whole Foods as base and to sautéed ingredients. Left out the flour and heavy cream substituting with ½ cup of half n' half. Really enjoying our supper club from coast to coast, and beyond. Thank you for sharing such great newly discovered recipes! It's so easy to get in a rut these days...
  15. This looks delish! Such a pretty presentation, too. ;]
  16. All my favorites. Plum baby tomatoes, carrots, corn and nuts of any kind. Is that sweet potato chips? You can pack my lunch box anytime! ;]

Love the beard! I think we need some close-ups! Lookin mighty fine there, Mr. Hagel...
  18. LOOKS SOOOO TASTY! When is dinner tonight? Grocery shopped yesterday and purchased corn-on-the-cob + sweet potatoes. Hoping to make chowder this weekend. ;]
  19. Dinner tonight! Shrimp with honey, lime, soy sauce + red chili flakes in wok. Ready in a flash. I just love Bird's Eye baby garden peas - This my last frozen pea package... They don't appear to be restocking them. :[
  20. I agree, wholeheartedly! And, I believe Dr. V to be wise, sincere and a very good friend to the WLS community. His analogy of a the small garden is SPOT ON! This espalier was created for our front courtyard wall to add depth, interest and beauty. The initial set up required a thoughtful schematic plan then the paint/construction/wiring. Within one tropical season of patience, direction, vigilance and determination - The confederate jasmine seedlings planted in nutrient rich, high quality soil + solid foundation has grown into a stunning and hardy vine after 16 years. It has weathered six serious hurricanes, droughts and other stresses over the years. I merely monitor, prune, fertilize and finesse on occasion. His advice is timeless and applicable to any human journey. We are holistic beings of many facets. Thank you for posting, Green Tealael!!! It was like having coffee on the side porch today with an inspiring friend, especially in this current state of isolation. And, a great salad buddy! I, too, cultivated being a happy, confident and well adjusted overweight. That goal was paramount in becoming slim with joy and success - Not drama and struggle to which he speaks. Setting up an environment for success. We've got this! Happy spring!

My new fashion accessory with pajama's is a fit bit that arrived this morning! LOL. Actually, while in 6 weeks of quarantine - I'm trying to improve + update my limited tech savvy (still back in the dark ages claims my engineer hubby) with new cell phone apps, online webinars, Zoom meets and other curiosities! I resisted at first. Now all kind of fun at least, for the time being... The fit bit really tracks a lot of things. Colorful cases, too. Who knew? ;]

LOVE LOVE LOVE the floral dress and halter bodice lines on you. You wear it so well. And, your arms - wow! The mermaid emerald gown is gorgeous on you, too, ms.sss! The neck line is exquisite. Emerald green is the birthstone of May - May birthday by chance? I'm a May 29th baby and that is one of my favorite jewel tones. Once my foundations arrive via mail (did not have time to shop in person for them after PS before lock down). You've inspired me (and, hopefully, others on thread) to play dress up in my closet for outfits acquired for cancelled or postponed meaningful major events this spring. Sadly, they were all hung in garment bags directly without a last fitting from seamstress... that's how quickly everything closed down here March 18th - six weeks ago now. So, I guess it's time for a little fashion show and cheer to lift ours spirits! Thanks for getting the ball rolling... x o ;]
