  1. Continued the holiday weekend spirit with last night's dinner of BQ chicken thighs (thanks to ms.sss BQ recipe to die for!) and blue cheese wedge salad. Such a satisfying meal... given it would have been fried chicken and cherry pie in 2018. Cherries are back in season! Yay! ;]
  2. Looks delish!!! My plate would be cleaned as well...
  3. OMG, that's right! Will just kick hubby out and send him back to his real office... LOL!

Ebony and ivory twins! How cool is that. The black suede rendition is gorgeous, too - Especially with your porcelain flawless skin and deep burgundy wine polish. These sandels would look stunning with your black pleated skirt we all adore.

Thanks doll! It felt so therapeutic to get dressed up, but a little sad, too. I wonder how much longer we'll remain just in our closets? Anything fun to model for us in yours? x o ;]
  6. Reinventing, but engaging all the Memorial holiday picnic faves + comforts. Tonight was homemade baked beans with the instant pot. A few frank bites added after. Does not look as good as it tasted! Years past, the meal would have been two butter toasted buns with hotdogs, potato chips, Pepsi, baked beans + macaroni salad. And, cherry pie and ice cream. Oh boy. Less is definitely more concentrating on just a few simple flavors at a time. Has anyone else found that to be true?
  7. WOW! LIKE YUM! I love pork any shape or form. The cucumber salad looks divine. Would you come down and create your magnificent cuisine for us after lock down?! Chef sss - perhaps, a new calling?

Felt finally human again after trips to the salons this week for hair, nails and pedicure after 10 weeks. Tried on this new toile dress (with two belt styles) never worn, but purchased for several winter/spring charity events. So wonderful to learn the giving remotely actually exceeded that of the actual fund raising venues, like the food bank. Essential service to many who never conceived they'd be waiting in line for their next meal. Sobering, indeed.

The power suit and pin stripe certainly ruled then! I always felt so cool in my padded suit jackets with white t-shirt and dress Calvin Klein jeans with pressed creased legs! Florals are ready to explode this fall 2020 as fashion seeks a happier note and hopeful season.

GORGEOUS! Just love Knoll pieces! How wonderful you have breathed new life into these iconic classics. I had the privilege to work along side Florence Knoll Basset on several Miami projects, as a young designer. What a neat backstory and family heirloom treasures. Very cool chest. Your lounge looks like a truly inspiring place to hang out in!

Did someone say padded shoulders! Haha. Ahhhh... memory lane. ;]

Yesterday while searching for some stored picture frames under the bed - WA LA, I came across this skirt! I wore it on our first meet and lunch date with hubby February 27, 1993 in Tallahassee, Florida while in graduate school. 27 years later, a little big and a bit prim + proper Prairie school teacher look... LOL. What fun trying it on again after all these years. It would not have even got passed my thighs 15 months ago!!! And, while dressed after 10 weeks quarantine, I experimented with all the new belts yet to be worn out of the house. The skirt brought back very fond memories. Fashion will do that. Anticipating our 25th wedding anniversary gala next May, if safe and sound to do so. Does anyone else have any sentimental pieces left in their wardrobe? Might you post them? Fun! ;]

Oh Mark, you are looking A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Way to GO honing in on your goal. Congratulations! Such a handsome Southern gentleman. Orange is a great color on you, too. Happiest Memorial Day weekend to you and yours. Y'all planning any good Tennessee cuisine or BQ bites in celebration!?
  14. WOW! All our faves. Both your briskets looked to die for! That's one lucky fam. I've never met a cheese I didn't like. Pungent or otherwise, but my favorites are Swiss, Cheddar and Parmesan. Romano is heavenly, too. Now you've got me contemplating grilled BQ shrimp and street corn for Memorial Day. Might you share your BQ sauce recipes with us?
  15. More conventional dinner tonight. Salad with lite blue cheese dressing, red grapes, golden delicious apples, pecans and everything but the kitchen sink! Love these baby bibs from local market. Perfect size for one serving. And, don't you just love the elegant Rubbermaid storage bowl, too! Perfect little size for me. ;] .
  16. Yay! Be proud! What a delicious alternative and so much more satisfying...looks yummy. I hope hub's homemade carrot cake he made for a January ladies luncheon for me (slices still left in the freezer) were not screaming out to you all the way to Canada! I find those especially decadent ones really do! Haha. I just laughed as you walked us thru the dilemma. Only too familiar... Here's to the VICTOR! And, pumpkin seeds that won't contribute to making us look like pumpkins EVER again. ;]
  17. Unconventional dinner last night. ;]

LOVE this chair! What personality it has... do share more! After healing from plastics finding undergarments has been daunting. So, I often revert back to wearing my black medical front hook bra and body suite. Actually, they are very well constructed, comfortable and conform beautifully. Yay! Tomorrow I get my first haircut and style since quarantine. Had my pedicure and manicure yesterday. I suspect, it risky - but my salons seem to be taking all the appropriate precautions. I wear my mask and gloves everywhere, too. Very fashionable accessories these days. LOL.

I know this is a bit of a diversion BUT maybe permissible given the circumstances? I'm still in my grunge wear BUT my home office design studio was completed today! Now outfitted with new antelope patterned cow hide area rug over coir carpeting, mid-century modern sconces, cognac hued accent wall and library cabinet from re-purposed China cabinet. I still report to the office in my PJ's most days. Just not that motivated to get dressed with no where to go 10 weeks and counting! The boys were a great help in implementing the project + vision. ;]

You look absolutely gorgeous! All the textural blacks are wonderful. Still shifting thru the foundations game as well! The online orders just are not working out for them. Everything gets returned. Usually too large. I really miss our department stores and outdoor eating at restaurants after 10 weeks and counting...
  21. Nothing too exciting here in the cuisine world. Just another Monday... Scrabbled egg with maple sausage for breakfast. Strawberry chef salad for lunch. Dinner... Hmmmmm?
  22. What a great combo - Cheese and burgh. I get it now! I had clients in Shadyside and nearby Uniontown. Was in the mood for a hamburger for lunch today after talking hamburgers! LOL. The salad is watermelon, tomatoes, basil and roasted hazelnuts. A new friend actually from State College sent to us a surprise express mail package yesterday... recipe from 1260 Florence, Italy - Panforte Tradizionale. Too rich + sweet for me, but hubby approved. They were so pretty to look at and to smell. She only knows me slender and not privy to my WLS. I have really enjoyed making new friends who don't know my overweight past. It's fun and refreshing. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness and her effort. I think she's a keeper. :]
  23. Thai dinner last night. My favorites were the garlic chili roasted edamame and straw mushrooms!
  24. I'll park on your driveway any day or even across the street! ms.sss, these dinners look delicious, colorful and wonderful... Fit for royalty! We did edamame, too, last night. Only we ordered out from our favorite Thai Lotus restaurant. Your lobster balls look amazing! You didn't have one!? Your BFF struck gold.
