  1. Never had pastrami before but it looks good!
  2. It looks delicious! I need to try it with the turmeric and star anise. I really hope it works for you.
  3. Thanks! I love wings too! My favorite way to eat them is on the grill, but cooking them with coal not gas. Once cooked I top them with jalapeños ???? For the ones last night I didn’t do any breading. I pressure cooked them, dried them with a paper towel, then air fried. I made wings for lunch today a little differently. With these I seasoned them, added a good amount of mustard (yellow and Dijon), then I lightly coated them with flour and air fried. Instead of brushing with oil I used a zero calorie olive oil spray. Here’s the before and after. Oh and blue cheese always. I don’t like ranch ... at all lol. I ended up serving some blue cheese with today’s wings but realized them didn’t need it.
  4. Speaking of honey.. made honey bbq and buffalo wings last night in the ninja foodi. I don’t think I can eat wings anywhere else again. I’m obsessed with this foodi ❤️ Ate two bbq and two buffalo ?
  5. Dipped fruit is my favorite sweet treat! Especially dipped strawberries and bananas!?
  6. Ive heard of duros too and the longer version, chicharrones de harina. When i went on vacation to Mexico city I forgot what I learned going to my friends house and ordered chicharron street tacos. It was braised jiggly pork skins in sauce. I had to give it to my boyrfriend because I hate pork skin ?
  7. @MusicalKate13 What @ms.sss said lol But I will add that the meaning of the word "chicharron" varies per country. Here's an example: A few years ago one of my friends invited me over her house to eat. She said she was frying up chicharron so I skipped the dinner my parents offered me to eat at her place. Ill add that my friend is Mexican and when i arrived at her house I was devastated because for Mexicans, chicharron is just the pork skin/pork rinds, no meat at all. She made the pork rinds and these pin wheel things made out of flour. They call the pin wheels chicharron as well. For Peruvians, chicharron is mostly meat. Basically fried pork chunks with no skin and a little fat, sometimes including the bone. For salvadoreans, chicharon is similar to the Peruvian version but it gets shredded. For Colombians, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, and I believe Filipinos, chicharron is the pork belly with fat, crunchy skin, and meat. And then theres chicken chicharron, calamari chicharron but thats a whole different thing lol Here are those pinwheels
  8. Are you eating those as snacks or making cheese shells for tacos ?? OR for something else I can’t think of?
  9. ? it’s very glorious! You sound like my stepmom. She’s addicted to chicharon, including the crunchy skin. i might need to buy some to make myself too! I forgot how much I missed it. Maybe air frying could work?
  10. Chicharon for lunch. I ate all the meat except the fat. Not the healthiest but I was just craving it.

You guys give me so much inspiration and hope that one day I’ll be able to shop and not have to worry about fitting into something. I’m loving everyone’s outfits!
  12. Chicken lettuce wraps for lunch and banana chia pudding for breakfast. I ate a wrap before I remembered to take a pic.
  13. I dont mind buying it and cooking it myself. For some reason it really doesnt bother me. Nothing like making homemade tacos de lengua or stews with it!
  14. I used two Pinterest recipes and I was hesitant to make them too but they came out fluffy! The banana was more fluffier and bread like than the pumpkin though. @GreenTealael is a true baker so she might have some good suggestions.
  15. Looking forward to it! I tried wrapping chicken in lettuce and it looks like a mess compared to yours lol
  16. That pasta looks so good! Is that cashews on top? Nice idea ?
  17. Went a little muffin crazy yesterday. Made pumpkin and banana with no sugar and no flour... well not sure if you count throwing rolled oats in a blender and making it flour like? Oat flour? Is that a thing? Oh and here’s my pumpkin chia pudding from this morning. Tastes just like pumpkin pie.
  18. I agree! You look very young, I dont thin k you will have a problem. Give your skin some time to adjust.
  19. Speaking of "odd" foods ... beef tongue is AMAZING
  20. Im also Peruvian and have tried guinea pig before. Its ok, im not the biggest fan of it, too many bones for my liking lol I guessing you can blend tripe but I dont think it will taste as good. People who like tripe usually like the texture and you would be taking that away. oh and yeah ... ceviche is life! ?
  21. Nothing boring about that! Looks delicious! I could go for a grilled chicken wrap right now ?
  22. I wasn’t able to tolerate anything. I was lucky if I could get water down. I ended up living off of watermelon for 3 months straight. There was no such thing as protein at the time. It will improve though. Your body is probably still in a state of shock like mines was. Time is all you need ❤️
  23. Yum! Good idea!? I really love it ? but my boyfriend says all the little gel balls creep him out every time he opens the fridge lol
  24. Dinner last night and lunch today. Causa rellena with three different cream's. The yellow is huncaina which is made from a yellow pepper, the red is Rocoto (another pepper) and the green is called ocopa which is made from Peruvian black mint. The actual causa is basically layered yellow potatoes that have been mashed with more yellow peppers and lime. I layered it with tuna and avocado. Felt like getting a little fancy with the plating lol I was only able to eat half of the red one plus a few shrimps. Super filling!
