Ugh. I hate you all with your fabulous weather and lounging pics. I'm CRANKY. P.S. Sorry for saying I hate you, I don't, really.

    Nerds actually rule the world.

You don't know how amazing your pic looks to me right now. Especially since this was what I woke up to this morning. I mean, WT actual F. Ugh.
  4. Good point. I am much shorter, at 5'2", and a 39 lbs weight loss was a few sizes down down in my case.
  5. From reading your last couple posts, I get the feeling that you have already resigned yourself to take a baking sabbatical, and if that's what is best for you right now, it's all good. However, I can't resist, and I will though leave you with my FAVOURITE COOKIE RECIPE OF ALL TIME, FOREVER and EVER. No regular flour and easily adapted to use sugar substitute (swerve), I've made both sugar and sugar-free many times and the fam can't tell the difference. #yum Of course, I realize not everyone loves the taste of almonds/amaretto/marzipan as much as I do, so it may not crank your engine, but just thought I'd share, LOL #superyum Good luck with everything! ❤️ Dessert : Chewy Amaretti Cookies.pdf Here's a pic of when I last made them:
  6. It's been a while since I did an inventory of my NSV's. I'm 2.5 years post op, but I can still appreciate all the little things: Not only fitting into regular-width tall boots, but wearing jeans with knee-high woollen socks over them while wearing said boots AND still have room to spare. I used to hate it whenever Mr. tried to pick me up - as in lift up off the ground, not hit on at the bar! - (dude, I'm 235 lbs, you will embarrass both you AND me in your attempts)...now I find any excuse for him to do it...including jumping onto him at random moments. Sharing (and fitting into) the often fought-over arm chair in the house with the Kid at the same time quite comfortably. Feeling 110% confident in walking around buck naked (in front of Mr. lol). No more quick dashes to my closet after showers (i do a slow catwalk now...lol), no more towels or sheets or strategically placed hands to cover myself. The lights are ON alot during sexy-times hahahahahhaha. Seemingly endless amounts of energy, a perpetually good mood, and an overall attitude of "Sure, let's do it" (whatever it may be)....vs. being tired all the time, cranky and annoyed alot, and saying NO to most things. oh, and ...CLOTHES.
  7. The first two months were exceptions...it all really averages out in the end! From months 3-7, my monthly average loss was ~11lbs (lost from a high of 13lb/month to a low of 9lbs/month, depending on the month) I get how we sometimes fixate on the speed of loss (I mean, there IS a bit of thrill in getting closer to goal, I'm not denying that), but really, for those that stay on their respective plans, we all end up at the same place eventually. Does it really matter if it takes 6 months or 2 years? Its a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. Good Luck! ❤️, sounds like you'll do great.
  8. Oh, I stress bake too (and happy bake, and boredom bake)...and yeah, I give the majority of it away. Delivering goodies to friends and family is actually one of the highlights of my week. But...I get if having the temptation is just not worth you dealing with. Do stuff that makes things easier, and not harder, I like to say. P.S. I'm assuming you are just talking about the perishable supplies being given away? Most baking ingredients have a relatively long-ish shelf life. They could probably keep until you are done with weight loss phase? Or you could have one last big bake to use it all up in one go! Hope you figure out (and be at peace with) what is best for you ❤️
  9. There are 4 of us in our house, and given that I was the only one who was having surgery, I left the pantry alone. Having "off-plan" food in the house didn't bother me so it was ok, I was neither happy nor sad about it. I still cooked everyone's meals and basically just watched them eat it, ha. (tasting while cooking was a bit of a challenge though...but i digress...) In the end, if it will help you to not have it around (and ideally not hurt anyone else), AND it is doable to do so, then I fully support tossing it all. Good Luck! ❤️
  10. I'm a pumpkin seed gal myself. *I put that sh*t on everything*

Nah, she will always be Lilly to me, lolololzzzz Lily-pad and Marsh-mallow FOR-E-VAH!!
  12. 1. Did you feel the same way? Yeah, it took about 1.5+ years of indecisiveness and 3 postponements on my part before finally going through with it (read: I chickened out 3 times total during the process) 2. Are you glad you did it? Hecks yeah, 100000000000000% 3. Do you have any regrets? Only that I chickened out those 3 times and that I didn't do it earlier. 4. What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before you had surgery? I've often been asked this, but TBH, there is nothing that I found out afterwards that would have changed anything or made me regret anything I did beforehand or during....sorry not much help here. Hope you find the decision that you are happy with ❤️
  13. That's alot of sunflower seeds alright! LOL, still looks good though. P.S. CAT!!! *shakes fist to the sky*
  14. That's a good point about being around other vaccinated people. We are currently in lock-down again (until May 20th, at least, ugh) and we were not given different sets of rules for the vaccinated and the un-vaccinated. Currently we are told that everyone, regardless of vaccination status, has to stay home, and only be around people from their own households....so i dunno either. ??‍♀️
  15. Not sure what the directive is in other parts of the world, but the message here is that even with the vaccine, it is still advisable to wear a mask AND social distance. The mask if really for benefit of others, not for you.

@WishMeSmaller: You just reminded me how I LOVED to wear calf compressors during the period immediately after plastics. I stopped because I lost one of them in the wash. I need to order me some new ones! P.S. Did you guys finish putting up the fence (I have no idea how long it takes to put up a fence....) @Arabesque: You DEF wore it better than the other lady (did you mean, Alyson HANNIGAN? lol) She needs a new stylist whoever she is, as that dress is waaaaaaaaaaay too big on her. New leather jacket looks great on you ?

Were you/are you a biker gal??? Methinks if you would look pretty awesome in some (well-fitted) H2T leather today.
  21. Yes, I had some muscle repair done (and bit of lipo on the flanks) And yes, I realize I *may* have a warped sense of what a flat tummy is supposed to look like (curse, you media and the representation of women!), but honestly, I think my abdomen looked "flatter" over-all PRE-plastics. Don't get me wrong, I totally prefer how I look now than before the TT (i'm waaay firmer), but yeah, I def have a little bump (currently filled with like a litre of water in this pic, lolololzzz)
  22. No, not at all! There are many on here who are cooking-eshewers who are quite successful, lol. That's fancy for me too! Sounds awesome. #yum (pls feel free to post pics of this yumminess to feed our food porn addictions!)
  23. My surgeon also told me my stomach may not be completely flat either. Said that yes, he can get rid of skin and some underlying fat, but he cant make my organs smaller! Lol And he was right. Yes, my abdomen has very little “overlay” tissue, but my lower abdomen (below the belly button) is definitely a little rounded. Its especially noticeable (to me) when I have a big meal.
  24. I did/do mostly cardio, because I hate strength training. I’d say probably 95% cardio (mostly running), and 5% strength training...of which is just body weight...with the exception pull-downs, when I use a machine w/ weights (but I don’t do this much/often). If I didn’t hate it so, I’d do much more strength training as I recognize it helps quite a bit with overall body presentation and metabolism levels. As it is, I do very little...but force myself to do some as it does produce results (for ME).
