  1. My comment was just based on how many different things you take and compared to others. Of course it varies per person and their doctors orders and I said I'll find out myself soon
  2. That's crazy... I take 1 multivitamin per day and fish oil tabs preop I guess I'll find out what happens post op!
  3. Some say to do a reset starting with liquids and shakes
  4. Yep protein shakes are great source
  5. I thought Gummies weren't actually preferred for bariatric patients
  6. I love the idea of losing weight and finally going to be normal and actually be able to buy decent clothes and get 'actual' female attention.. But I understand ladies like to have their curves
  7. I think it's individual and best to speak to your dietitian team
  8. You'll be taking plenty of vitamins with bypass and generally weight loss is better... Muscle tone comes down to exercise... They say there's more benefits from the bypass like if you have issues with gerd or reflux and it's the best for cure type 2 diabetes! There's tons of pages on here about each surgery

  10. Sorry to hear your struggles.. I'm currently preop started my diet early. Started at highest 322 and currently 291 in just 15 days.. Very low calorie and carbs and high protein logging everything! As I go along I know it will start slow down...
  11. Yeah explain everything you can still sign the contract just start the position after surgery
  12. That's a lot of carbs but maybe the texture of seaweed is the issue or did you accidentally use WASABI that will burnnnnn
  13. Find a new doctor asap... My doctor tried to advise me other alternatives and I said thanks but I've been in my body dealing with weight and diets for 20 years I think i know what I need...
  14. You will find every single person is different.. DNA. AGE. HEIGHT. STARTING WEIGHT. etc Other illnesses not related to obesity...
  15. Yes agree I've lost weight before but it always comes back on in the end.. Its not my dedication That's an ISSUE, I feel it's my metabolism and internal plumbing that's needs to be restructured to get the best chance at long term success!! That is why I'm going with RNY!
  16. WPI ISOLATE best quality. but on a budget any decent concentrate protein will do just keep an eye on the sugar fat and carbs content!!
  17. I guess possible osteo issues vs heart attack
  18. How long did you men take to lose it? Asking because I'm a male. 6ft0 currently 291lbs and hope to get to maybe 190lbs
  19. Definitely there are many people out there that have changed their lives without needing surgery but everybody is different! I've actually started my own preop much earlier than the surgeon asked. very low calorie and high protein low carbs and I've found I'm not hungry that much compared to what i used to be, and in just 15 days I'm down 30lbs (sure might be mostly water but feeling better and lost a few inches) The way I see it every lb lost will make the surgery easier for me and the surgical team
  20. I've lost 28lbs in 2 weeks on a preop diet I've started myself
  21. You'll find every different surgeon have their own process
  22. Pretty sure the only revisions from sleeve are either RNY or DS @Dr-Patient
  23. Well done mate we're very similar I also hope to get down to 190. How long did it take mate? What's your exercise routine like?
