  4. Hey all coming up to 2 weeks left until surgery starting to think about the puree liquids stage.. What do people use post op because our portions will be so tiny I'm thinking a small stick blender or like a bullet or nutri ninja? The bullets have like different cups of 500ml plus where the stick has a small jug size? I know I'll have to puree pretty much everything I want to eat from eggs to meat to tuna or veggies to very fine consistency?! I can get a cheap stick mixer or nutri ninja like below What are people's opinion or experiences like which works better????
  5. So true mate ppl need to put more effort and learn the best way to get everything they can from surgery mate. I'm preop on my own diet for 6 weeks now. Max 1000kcal high protein.low carbs. Nothing bad. No sugar. No junk at all... I've been very strict on myself which I know I'll have to continue post op!! You're right they gotta have their head 110% in the game not just 50%
  6. I'm curious how long before people could drink water like normal like being able to drink like 30 oz an hour rather than per day??? I'm preop and I drink a lot everyday worried about possibly feeling dehydrated?

  11. Nice to find someone Australian like myself.. I use a conversation calculator to write in lbs and most ppl on here use lbs instead of kgs.. I find the same my surgeon says to stay on liquids for at least a few weeks shakes etc but I see others advancing to next stage early as 1 week post op... I feel it's best to let the pouch and all heal before rushing to the next stages...
  12. I don't get the ignorance of people... My mum said anything I can do to help myself have a better life. Live longer. Be healthy. She's all for it. She knows I've struggled half my life with obesity and it's not been fun at all.. These technological advances are out there to better ourselves as a society so why not take advantage of the options of surgery? Only good things can come from this!
