I would like a number to,cannot get primary or nutritionist to give me a straight answer. If ya say low carb diet, explain low carb, right?

Surgeon's office doesn't communicate much.
Mine awesome. I went monthly and they kept track of diet, etc with baritastic app. Got scolded if I did not journal enough. They sent kudos when I lost weight, still do. 2 months after surgery. I have Dr Hanna,Las Vegas. A real gem, makes me laugh.

The scale is finally moving again
Glad it’s moving,so frustrating. Body just needs a plateau for a bit I guess. Did you check to see if you lost inches instead?

7 months post VSG full
Weight your food if you can. I find I sometimes forget I had surgery and just start shoveling it in. Definitely not worth the pain that’s coming if you over eat or eat to fast.

OK no judging please
Oh stay on diet . Not work the pain. I know it’s hard I could kill for a baking powder biscuit! Hang in there you got this!

Stall - 6 weeks post OP!

I'm not doing well
Wow high blood sugar because of low potassium. Great info. Guacamole ? It has potassium and my sugar has gone down. I am 6 weeks out from surgery now and try to eat avocado daily. Thank you for the info. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm not doing well
Sorry you had such a bad experience. Sugar should fall once you lose weight,at least mine did. It did go up on me but the liquid Tylenol I had was not sugar free. Vitamins had fructose and as crazy as that is I think it affected my sugar. Stopped the chewable ones and sugar is down. Maybe just a coincidence. Just keep tabs and take care of yourself. Sounds like you need some pampering.

Help.. I fell off the wagon. :(
One day at a time. Back to protein drinks 2x a day maybe and 1 meal. Try eliminating your sugar and bad carbs. Be patient with yourself!

Preparing for surgery, very scared. Tips??
I am 67 and had no problems. Gas pain from surgery, and low energy for a couple weeks is all. Just follow Dr instructions for pre op and post op.

Disappointed
As you lose weight, you probably will be able to get off meds. My sugar also ran high. I did take liquid Tylenol and that had sugar. Also my chewable vitamin had fructose and that seemed to raise my blood sugar. Give it a bit,bet it will come down.
