Thanks for this! I’m currently stalled out, which is annoying. So, I’m going back to basics. It actually feels good to do.

Yay! That’s a good battle to lose. I love your outfit. I have to admit, seeing your black and white patterned outfits had a BIG impact on my wardrobe buying choices.

I’m in Albuquerque for a conference, but snuck out to shop a bit. I may have bought more turquoise than I originally intended. Woops! At least they weren’t the really expensive stuff.

Yep! I have a hairdresser that is GREAT. Her clientele is mostly punky people and folk from the queer community, so lots of fun colors. She gets tons of practice. And you could totally rock the auburn hair!

I love that jacket. And you are so TINY!

Sweater dress weather today. I went slouchy, with no belt. This is with and without the scarf, but it’s been cold so the look today is definitely WITH the scarf.

Same, from the boots to the green shirt and the leather jacket. It looks great.

Hey @sillykitty , where did you get that jumpsuit? I don’t think I can pull one off yet, but when I can I’d love something similar. This thread has been SUPER helpful in dealing with my body dysmorphia. It’s still weird to me, being out of plus sizes, etc., but seeing the change gradually in pictures has helped my brain adjust. I encourage others to participate. Somehow making it about the clothes makes me less emotionally tied to the selfies, if that makes sense? Also, I’m going to start saving up for plastics. My back seems okay, pretty good actually, but my stomach and thighs are a hot MESS. So, mommy makeover (I want the boobs, too), and thigh lift, I guess? I still have a while until I hit goal, and probably a year after that until I feel ready to go under the knife. But, it’s helpful to think that it’s in my future. My neck does seem to be tightening up somewhat, which is a relief.

I like this dress, and I like the boots, but together they are a bit too sexy for work ? this is not a term I thought would be used to describe me in anything, ever. I did change the shoes into a different pair of black booties ?

Incredible! Well done.

Agreed. I really like the detailing on the bottom of the pants.

I originally had this dress on with tights (hosiery type), but it felt a bit (or a lot) too short for work that way. Leggings it is!

That looks fantastic. You should get it.

I feel discouraged.
I’m almost 6 months out and still only getting around 600 calories.

6 month check in (well, 2 weeks early!)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you! It still seems unreal. Thanks! This surgery has been AMAZING!

6 month check in (well, 2 weeks early!)
I’m close to 6 months out of gastric sleeve surgery. Everything is going well. Getting adequate hydration is getting easier, it had been a struggle. My body is still adjusting. But, all in all I am still feeling very glad that I made this decision. I was active and happy before, but some (a lot of) things are so much easier now. Being able to go into a regular store and buy a raincoat, fitting well in airline seats, etc. I worry less about my long term health. I worry less about how I’m perceived on a daily basis. Those small anxieties were taking far more of brain space than I realized. People in general are nicer to me, which is nice (it makes life easier), but takes some working through to not become cynical and jaded. I’m stalled out at the moment (totally normal), and thought it was a good time for a collage. And some mad props to bigger Angie, who did so many cool and adventurous things even though it was hard. I feel pretty disconnected from how it was and who I was before, and I’m sure this will deepen even more as the years go by. As you can see, surgery turned my hair purple and pink. My surgeon never even mentioned the possibility! Tsk tsk.

Post-OP Diet Curiosity
I had no desire to eat or drink anything. It was an odd experience, for sure. So though pre-surgery me was concerned about the dietary restrictions, post-surgery me was struggling with getting in fluids. I found broth my easiest thing to get down. I could drink things that were either hot or cold, no in between. So, I had a little teeny fridge on my nightstand to keep my protein shakes cold, and a teacup warmer for my broth/tea/etc. These little tools helped TREMENDOUSLY. I bought them the day after I came home, when the struggle became very apparent. Best of luck to you.

How Long is too Long for a Stall?
My scale has been stalled out for a couple of weeks now. Though I know it happens, and this is a normal part of the process, it’s annoying. A stall is great time to re-evaluate your eating and activity. I’m checking in with myself by logging my food. And I’m going to hide my scale, because I attach too much emotion to what it says
