  1. I have a 4cc Inamed band... down to 0.5cc's in it (most ever was 1.5cc), and probably getting that all taken out next week.
  2. oh georgia girl, you are evil! That's a great idea!
  3. I still drink it if I feel like it... diet or not. The fizz makes it tough to drink, so I usually shake up the bottle, drain out the carbonation, and repeat a couple times to make it nice and flat. Yum.
  4. I just used the print out they gave me at the clinic and that was fine. Make sure you guys save all your receipts for everything you claim, cause they did 'come after me', and luckily I had everything to back all my expenses up, so it was no problem.
  5. Yes, but I've got the skin of a someone 150lbs more than a weigh now, is my problem. I will be bringing someone with me though, thanks.
  6. I'm having a hard time finding a swimsuit. I haven't worn one in probably 15 years (i'm 27!). I found one that looked good, then I looked at the back, and I had back fat squeezing out of the hole below the 'racer back'!! Went hunting for more today and all that I tried on gave me back cleavage!! BACK cleavage!! I bought some kind of yoga/bike shorts to wear over whatever swimsuit I find, cause I'm not cool with my thighs at all. All the tankini type things I saw, the shorts were verrry short. I'd like to not have to wear a swimsuit AND shorts, so I hope I can find some kind of separate swim-top.
  7. Hey Christall, welcome and good luck! Who are you thinking of going with?
  8. I just wanna say thank you georgiagirl for reintroducing me to the wonders of the spaghetti squash! I am hooked on this, with both feta and parmesan! I know I'm going to eat myself into being sick of it, but I'm loving it in the meantime!! Gonna go grab my squash outta the oven, lunchtime!
  9. I use Ufile.ca to do my taxes. You could input all your info, and it will tell you how much you would get back. You don't have to pay for it unless you chose to print it out to mail it away or want the file to submit via Netfile.
  10. It's not fun, is it? I feel for ya. I've had to deal with it more than a couple times. You'll feel 100% better with a slight defill, if it does set you back at all, it won't be nearly as bad as if you try to stick it out, and end up having to get a complete defill. Good luck. Try to get as much Water down as you can until Monday.
  11. It was good with the feta... but little did I know that feta, or at least what I had, doesn't really melt all that good or at all. I'll crumble it WAY better and spread it around more next time so its at least evenly distributed. I feel like it again tonight, so I went and bought some parmesan today and I'm going to make it your way. Actually... you know what, I'm gonna half and half it so I can try them both!
  12. I wanted so bad to make this, I just ran out and bought a spaghetti squash, sure I had parmesan... well I don't. I do however have lots of feta, so I'm gonna try that! I think it'll be good!
  13. There's one in Saint John, but I think she's only for Dr. Cobourn patients. Other than that, I don't think there are any.
  14. and for comparisons sake, here's a beaut from the morning of surgery:
  15. well now I just look crazy.
  16. Yeah... I don't have another Dr. And I've also been reading about Paxil, and some bad stories, but I have no other options right now. anyways: about 157 here and apparently that shirt's a little transparent
  17. you should probably delete that number.. I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate having her number posted online. The original person got the contact info from me, via email or msg, and that's the way it should stay ... I think.
  18. Oh, by the way... I didn't last on the Effexor long. The headaches were unbearable. I've got a Paxil rx that I'm starting on soon though. Should be interesting.
  19. Just thought I'd update myself here a little. Moved into our new apartment on Friday. It's pretty awesome! Apparently when they pulled up the carpets in our apartment, it didn't have the hardwood floors underneath that it should have... so they installed new birch-looking laminate. When we thought we were moving to Vancouver, we sold our new couch set, and were left with an uncomfortable futon for the meantime. Well.... my friend is moving back to Saskatchewan, and didn't want to ship her couch and coffee tables back, so we bought them. I'll post pictures.... I'm just cleaning up and unpacking right now to take pictures for Dan and our families to see what our place looks like. Dan left this morning to go home to Calgary for a week or so, since he never got to go home at Xmas, and has about a month off before he starts his new job. I'm applying for a few jobs, but not really wanting any of them. I want to explore my options and see if I can find something I really want to do. Yeah, that's right.... 150 freakin' pounds gone, but not done the good way. I was way too tight, and unable to get to have a defill until yesterday. I didn't get completely defilled thank GOD, so hopefully I won't gain everything back (everything meaning the last 20 or so pounds). This weight loss just seems so surreal, and came very uncomfortably, so I don't even feel good about it, and never 'celebrated' any of it. My band is soooo fickle, it's insane. My last TOO TIGHT period was at 1.2cc's... and now I'm down to 0.5cc. Once upon a time I was at 1.5cc's and losing nice and smoothly, but I guess that WAS about 75lbs ago, so it's understandable that I would require less tightness to be restricted, right?! It's just so annoying. I'm setting aside a 'fill fund' so I'll have money available all the time so I can go up in tiny increments, cause I think that's what I'll need. That is, if I need anything more than what I'm at right now to maintain my weightloss. I wouldn't mind losing more... just because I like to think that I will be able to eat up the fat in my flab, but who knows if that would happen. I know people will tell me I'm too skinny... but, uggg. When I was home at Christmas, I was about 145, and my mom and everyone said I was already too skinny. You know how people are though, worrying. My ideal weight could be anywhere between 120-150, so I'm doing just fine, I think. I don't think I'm looking sickly... a bit boney in places though. Pictures soon, I swear!
  20. Are you offering Andree?! Cause I'll come along with you! haha
  21. I agree, the doctor is a fool. It's amazing how little people (dr's) know about the lapband.... especially in the provinces that actually cover the procedure. I wouldn't be surprised if he was thinking she meant the VGB (vertical gastric band). If she doesn't want to find a new Dr., maybe she could contact the provincial weightloss program (sorry, cant remember what its called) and see if they could send her some info on the band, and/or stats on how the first patients banded there are doing so far, and she could present this to her Dr. (smugly, of course!)
  22. I saw a lady for a fill last time I was home in Saskatoon... if you need her email address, email me and I'll send it to you. She was banded in Mexico and I don't think is primarily associated with any one surgeon (although Dr. Cobourn's office got in contact with her for me), so is probably fine to do anyone's fills.
  23. Mind me asking why your wanting to switch to an RNY?
  24. Lookin' good Andrew! Congrats! I rememeber waaaay back when you were just a little band-baby! :hugs
