Could be slower, could be sustained longer, but at 50+.60+70+ we are no longer required to be sprinters, besides in bifocals it's hard to run anyway. I plan to be a successful 🐢 turtle one foot in front,of the other🐾easing down the path to Good Health.

I think its unrealistic to not expect myself to partake in holiday treats. The trick is moderation and getting right back to clean eating. Having all the stuff in the house is too hard not to take a taste. But, its gotta go soon!

I found in Walmart the other night, the so real good pizzas where the crust is made from chicken and they only have 4 carbs per snack size. I think the snack size will be good for our sleeves. I bought a box of those to try around christmas or new year when i can eat again LOL.. I am baing sleeved tomorrow.

So far from my work and/or work colleagues for Christmas:
three course christmas dinner with all the alcohol won chocolate hamper at said christmas dinner christmas Breakfast lunch bbq bottle of sparkling wine numerous small santa chocs one monster size toblerone $50 gift voucher (the boss) another small gift pack with two type of chocs tomorrow (last working day before Christmas woohoo) I understand we will be having another lunch. Nobody knows I have had an ESG, and surprisingly no one as asked (obviously all too polite) anything about my weight loss.
A large number of the things above have been regifted, for the booze and what is left I will be taking Chrstmas day to my family
Today I distributed my own gifts:
two large panettones to the two people I work closest to choc hazelnut tubey things x 1 2 mini panettones lots of small santa chocs 1 small pack of doggie shaped scotch finger biscuits Christmas, food and treats all go hand in hand unfortunately lol. Thankfully I have had reasonable restraint and am doing well in not woofing down all all the above. Far cry from this time last year in which I would woof down everything include any food gifts I had bought and would need to buy a second lot of them.

Preface: All my bosses (I have 6) know I recently had gastric bypass (7 weeks ago today). Christmas presents have been trickling in... so far I've received...
    1) A large basket of candy
    2) Panera and Dairy Queen gift cards (My mom and stepdad have called dibs)
    3) Sparkling cider (Regifting to my aunt next week)
    4) A tropical pine tree that must stay indoors and grows to 15' tall (everyone else got candied nuts, but I guess he paid attention and realized I couldn't have those)
I cannot stop laughing at my little (eventually gigantic) tree. I've named him Stu. He's covered on confetti and on my desk.
It's the thought that counts, guys. lmao. Ohhhh my.

When you start lifting weights, or doing any type of resistance training, your muscles get micro-tears which causes Fluid in your muscles. For me, it always takes a while before the Water weight would go down—usually a week or two—and then all of a sudden I'd lose a lot overnight.

Sounds like Water retention from the exercise.
Do not panic, it will go away.
Watch the sodium intake and keep up on the great work!

August 29th I was sleeved and I am down 23 pounds since surgery. I follow all of the rules. People with more to lose will lose it faster. So chin up we are doing great. Forward progress is just that it’s progress. I ask myself when is the last time I weight what I weigh today. That’s right I can’t remember and when is the last time any diet help me go down 23 pounds in 10 weeks....oh that’s right NEVER! So who cares if it takes us a few more months than others to get to goal. The point is we will get there! Hope this helps you and let’s you know that you are not alone

So you are almost 10-weeks post op and 22 pounds...that’s great! 2.2 pounds a week You’ll get there before you know it. I’m a man and it’s a fact men lose faster then woman (so says my loving bride of 37yrs, Barbara). I feel like I’m doing great losing 3lbs a week. Don’t feel bad, kick it up a notch and see what happens. I got stuck for almost 2 weeks, so added 5 more minutes of exercise and cut back calories from 750 to 650 and broke through the wall.

My dr's is always off compared to mine at home but what does it matter. Your weight is moving in the right direction. Just wait until you hit a stall or gain, that's when you should feel just a little aggravated. Keep in mind this is a long journey and you have to take it as it comes and learn from it. Continue to follow what you know to do and in the end you will have success.

    hi newbie😊
be consistent on which scale you listen to, doesn't matter what the weight says. if you want to go by the docs scale scale or yours , just only go by same scale - on other words don't compare each other
    good luck
