Thank you for writing this! I had sleeve surgery in 2018 and all went well. I was at 160 and happy. The pandemic has me so bored, I feel myself indulging more and more in slider foods. I feel like i can eat too much. Surgery was 10/24 ,,, i m on the puree stage. I had about 1/2 cup of cream Soup with 6 Minced ritz crackers mixed in ( was dying for some ooomph ) Seems i shouldnt b able to eat tht much. My nut said 500 or less cals the 1st 3 months, w my nighttime Protein Shake, it will b about 550. I dont have a thyroid at all anymore, so im hypo. Its wht made me go for the gs. I couldn't budge it. My bmi was 35. 10/24/18 sw 219 Current weight 180 Goal is 150. Having a routine colonoscopy next week. Was wondering if anyone with a sleeve has had one? Im concerned about the amounts of water that have to be drunk with the actual prep. I am going to call Monday to check. Yes, the gastro Dr. Knows Ive had the sleeve. I sw the phys asst. @ my bariatric center and he says not a problem. I will be doing the prep Wednesday nite, 2 doses, one at 7pm, then another in the early morning depending on time of procedure. I will report back. I am calling again on Monday. The gastroenterologist knows Ive had the sleeve and said its fine. But when i read the details of the prep instructions, i raised an eyebrow at the fluid intake amount. Panic, after weeks of losing weight, the scale is up 5 pounds! Randomly! I started lifting weights and exercising more- go figure! It sucks when i m not at goal, .
