I found the C-section pain to be incredibly painful- laparoscopic gall bladder removal n hysterectomy were sooo much less painful. My sleeve surg is October 24th. I figure it cant be worse than C-Section pain!

After sleeve surg., its estimated to lose about 60% of excess weight. How does the final 40% come off, if you are following post op protocol perfectly? Do you exercise more or eat even less calories? I confused myself. TYIA

I had a brand new primary so I got my letter from my orthopedic dr stating the loss of weight will have a positive response on the damaged discs in my back and ultimately require less medical interventions. Think about going to the dr that is treating any of your comorbidities ( cardio dr? Endocrinologist?)

Thats what i thought. I have done all my bloodwork, chest xray, sleep study, nutrition counseling, ekg,,,,the only things left are the drs clearance from primary 30 days or less b4 n the bloodwork for surg. 3 days before. They told me not to lose weight since i am 36bmi.

Welcome. I am a newbie too. I have a surgery date of Oct. 24, thou I don't think I am officially approved yet. I guess their preliminary talks with my insurance company has them thinking I will be approved. I am waiting for an appointment with the psychiatrist who does approval/clearance regarding the mentally ready piece and an ekg, then all my pre-lim tests will be done. I like your tip of giving up diet soda before I actually "have" too. I had giving it up another time but was discouraged that I didn't lose any weight, so picked up the habit again.

Thats great. I am still waiting on the official paper, however , office has me on that date for surgery. But- i won't be worry-free until its on paper, i think end of this month. But i m going to be positive n say yes, for oct 24th!!!

I would love to know what foods n things are worth buying for the first 4 weeks post surgery n what is not worth it. For example- the vitamin patch? Diet drinks or just make at home, ? Along those lines,,,ty in advance
