Caffeine (coffee/preworkouts
I am 7 weeks out and have had caffeinated coffee a few times. When I spoke with my nutritionist about it she said that I should be drink 16 additional ounces of water on top of the 64 ounces I am supposed to drink for every cup of coffee I have. Unfortunately, I do not drink 64 ounces of water a day so i try to keep the coffee to a minimum.

What do people bring to work for lunch? I'm trying to find some bariatric friendly ideas. I have microwave and fridge in the office.

Let me know what you find! I think with all the sweet protein drinks, I've been craving more savory stuff.

Food Before and After Photos
@GreenTealael so I tried the cookie recipe again, followed everything to a T and I still wasn't a fan of them. I love peanut butter and I love cookies but everything is just off since surgery :/ maybe a good thing though...

Confessional - Lets post our cheats/confessions/etc so others can see that we are all human
I bought a small coffee from Starbucks yesterday. I could only drink about 3 sips but it was the best 3 sips of coffee ever. lol I met with my nutritionist today and asked her when I can start having coffee again and she said not until I'm drinking 64 oz a day and then adding 16 additional ounces for every cup of coffee I drink. I can't even make it up to about 50oz of water a day.... so no more coffee for me for a while

The Dreaded Holidays
Slightly stressed about the upcoming Holidays but determined to make it through. I'll be about 7 weeks out by then, so I can eat a little bit of turkey and some other stuff if I want. I guess my main fear is that I'll try to overeat and get sick which thankfully hasn't happened yet. I may skip out on the food part all together just to avoid this possibility and stick with my own pre-made meals and protein shakes. I was never a huge fan of turkey anyways. I'll miss the pies though!

600 pound life!
I watched a ton of the episodes during my two weeks off while recovering from surgery! What annoys me the most is that like 80% of the husbands are total trash. If you really cared about your partner, you would support their weight loss/journey to become healthier and not b**ch and whine about how you like "bigger women" or you "don't want to also have to change your diet"... blah blah blah. Trash. Also annoyed that Hulu doesn't have the Asanti family episode! I've heard its a must see!

Driving
I waited a week because I had a drain in.

lightheaded
6 weeks out and I still deal with getting light headed or dizzy when I stand up too fast. This never occurred before surgery. I know it has to do with not getting in enough water and just the low number of calories I'm bringing in

They were pretty much inedible. The consistency of rubber. I wound up tossing them.

How long did you wait before dating again?
Broke up with my significant other a few months before surgery, I dated around a bit in those few months but once I went in for surgery I decided to delete all my dating profiles and pretty much stop looking for someone in order to focus on myself. I. Not about 6 weeks out from surgery and I'm starting to get antsy. How long did all of you single people wait before going back into the dating scene? I have a lot of worries about dating now like not being able to eat or drink, my body changing drastically over the next year so my potential partner would have to adjust with me, finding someone who is on the same page with me eating/health wise...

TMI TMI Female Problems
5 weeks post op here. I would not say that my sex drive is nonexistent but I do feel like mine has certainly gone done. Tbh, I've always had a much higher sex drive than most and now it has gone to almost being normal since surgery. I think it has to do with all the hormonal changes and just being focused on other things. How can I think about sex when I'm trying to keep track of how much I'm eating, what I'm eating, staying hydrated, taking my vitamins, etc. The dryness is definitely hormonal. Lube has always been my best friend. Not sure about you but my surgeon made me stop my birth control for the month after my surgery. This has definitely messed with my hormones also. You should give your OBGYN a visit and explain the situation to her.

October 2018 Sleevers
Oh a positive note, I met with my surgeon today and he cleared me for all physical activity. I have an appointment with a personal trainer tomorrow morning!

October 2018 Sleevers
Oh yes, I have no idea what my full or hungry signals are now. I just eat on a time schedule and stop after a few bites. Even the smoothies and protein shakes make me nauseous in the morning. Having to take the multivitamin is the worst.

Nov 2018 Hydration Challenge
Only little over a month out and nowhere near being able to "chug". Not a fan of water enhancers. I like plain water. I just forget to drink it constantly. I'm doing good today though

Nov 2018 Hydration Challenge
Struggling quite a bit over here. Even 64 oz of plain water has been a reach for me. It's mostly a mental struggle. Pre surgery, I used to take in about 98 oz a day. I like to chug water through. This sip sip sip thing annoys me. I always wind up getting distracted and not drinking for a couple hours here and there which really limits the amount of water I can take in. Tomorrow is going to be a long day though, so I'm going to start drinking early in the morning and set reminders on my phone! The more hours I am up, the more hours i have to drink lol
