I thought we not suppose to have anything to dring the day of surgery. My sleeve date is first week of june..it was in may but had to be postponed. Ok so what is really gatorade ok to dring before surgery. ..any reason????

Yes, last year i changed my mind one week before my sleeve surgery ...got cold feet...scared.... This year im due in may. I was setting my mind for it. Since i weight 212... i only want to loose 50 LB. BUT M SCARED OF THE PAIN, MY HAIR LOSS, AND LOOSING MORE THEN 50 lb. So i set my mind for it. Then last nite i was reading here n this forum that 3 individual post op people developed lots of itching in the back. Another in stomack n thighs n another in upper body then this itching turned into hives. I read all this and i got discouraged, i then say i will just loose 40 lbs on my own. But i loose this week n gain the other week. Its like no use. with 213 lb at 57 yr old, im confused.. why should i do surgery with all these complications. Number one complication would be my boops hanging to the floor along with my stomach n face. Not even talking about the nausea plus pain. So to yur question, yes i changed my mind before n i pray i Dont change it again.

I went to a real good psyh. Last week i called n my apointment was givin for two weeks. took me one hr to get there . and only 10 min with the psyh. I came out like, Whaatt?He is located in Paramus nj and he comes highly recomended by my surgeon

That sounds too much. Maybe u should do research first n try a diff psyh. Asking prices first. I just had my psyh. Eval done and i was with this dr only 10 min and he is highly recomended by my surgeon. Yes just 10 min. I was sooo happy.

Im 57 and after my sleeve im getting Tummy n breast lift. Age cannot stop one from looking pretty. Look at the actors at 60 70 and 80 with that body....girl thats made up. Face lift boobs tummy they need all that to walk that red carpet. Dont let what makes u happy stop u because of age . get them boobs[emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

Congrats...i didnt know that insurance pays for breast n tummy after sleeve. What insurance do you have...probably its diff. Rules n diff states.

Well im sure u will do just fine... M due in May but i have to change it for june. I live alone n need to work to pay rent. I have to save up to be able to be 3 weeks out of work but still cover my rent. Keep us posted. plzz

I just came out of the psych apointment.. I thought it was going to be worst. Piece of cake, 15 min of questions n i was out. My surgery is for May im 213 Lb. My concern is loosing my hair which is already thining at 57. And my boobs and everything else also faling i will look like a melted candle. my goal weight is 180 i dont want to loose more than that cus i will look terrible cus i have no but. Lol[emoji16] I really need this surgery because of diabetic, highpertention and sleep apnea. But im also very scared i will be too thin and bald.... Does anyone else have these concerns ...i need all the encouragement i can get. [emoji26]

Im 57 and im for may surgery.. A little scared though i must admit. Scared about loosing too much Lbs. Im 215 and i dont want to go under 275 because everuthing will fall on me, starting with my hair....but im a yoyo dieter and im tired of it. Sleep apnea, hypertention, feet n knee arthritis. I really want to be healthy n pain free be able to play with my grand son n see him go to college. It is never too old to get sleeved. Good luck.

Yes you should tell your surgeon that way you can go have it chkd out you might need it the day of surgery. I use to be the same way and i was givin the cpap machine to put at nite to sleep. Used it a couple of times n couldnt take it anymore. Too uncomfortable i couldnt sleep with it on. Anyway yes its very imp. I dont wake up gasping for air anymore but i do fall asleep while im awake n i snore. Yes, i fall asleep but i know everything thats going on around me while i snore. Strange thing..lol...This surgery will take away the sleep apnea, diabetes and high blood presure. Im due in may and starting to get nervous n cold feet. Good luck

Please be carefull with those coconut carton drinks. FB opened one up and it was a grosse thing inside cery big. Yeak. Open the whole carton first before drinking.

Can anyone put up a list of the pre up clear liquids.. My surgery is in may since my surgeon is so backed up in appointments. But i would like to do a clear liquid diet to see if i can loose more weight.

I had to wait 6 months also n now my surgeon is so backed up i have to wait an extra 5 months. So imagine...im scheduled for may... So now i wonder...what if i gain weight in those 5 months of waiting??

In 12 hrs u will begin your new life. Congrats. Im sure the surgeon using god's hands will do a great job. Im due for feb. Inpatient also.
