July right here. Well, or probably it will be post poned. I had sm accident in church n now im n crutches i pulled a ligament from side n back of knee (the miniscus) Pulled or broke. Takes months n therapy to heal. I have finished all the preliminarys three months ago. I waited 3 months for a surgery date. I dont know whats going to happen now because I have gained 15 Lb. Since. Sttarting weight 205. Now im up 220 Lb. My general dr dont want to give me the clearance letter for surgery yet. She wants me to loose atleast 10Lb. Because my legs are retaining liquid. Congrats...u will be just fine...im in 225lb also and sleeve is waiting for me on july 22. N im already nervious but i know its for my health so i try not to think negative... God is in control will see what happens. Its not only cold feet. Its many things atached to that like scared something can go wrong. My age...n i dont have much to loose solo 40 lb. Hi...well congrats because the preliminary appointments are quick..before u know it your ready for surgery...im finished with all my appointments. I dont get it. As my understanding u say in your post that your surgeon uses this thermosmooth procedure. You also say that you trying to find info on it with 0 results. And you say you never heard of this before and you dont know anything about it... Then all of a sudden your Conversation changes and you know all about the procedue. You even put a website here and you have knowledge on what your saying. You explain it detail by detail. You even explain how it works n how long it takes n how many sessions nessesary. But i thought you said you couldnt find any info on it. Then you go on to say "We are able to tighten and firm loose skin" so you do know about this procedure and your promoting it. Is that it. My surgery is in the end of may and i asked my surgeon to give me the pre op liver shrinking diet and he said that it wasnt ness. He said just to stay away from carbs and fats . n thats it...that worried me. I was givin a copy of the liquid died so i will do it anyway . better safe then sorry. Thanks so much. I will try it n see how it goes. Scared to go into surgery without this diet. My sleeve is in may. I have been waiting since september. My weight has been up 7 Lb and down 6 Lb. Nothing changes. . so i ask my surgeon to give me the pre_ op liver shrinking diet now so that i can loose some weight. So he tells me that he doesnt require that liquid diet. He said only to stay off fats n carbs. I would like to know if anyone can put a copy of their liver shrinking diet menu up so that i can follow n begin my process n see. Can anyone share to post a copy of their pre op diet menu since my surgeon says he doeznt require his pts to do one. My sleeve is in june since i had to wait 6 mts with this insurance. I will let my pcp know if its ok to continue taking my meds or change them to smaller pills......I just pray everything comes out fine. This is my second intent with the sleeve. Two years ago i was going to do it and i had cold feet and backed out. Thanks for your respond. the reason im questioning is because this is a surgeon that doesnt explain anything unless i ask, therefore, i dont feel to comfortable with that. I know from testimonies that he is a good surgeon but he lacks comunication to the patient. The little bit that i have learned has been by reading all posts in this forum and it has been more informative then my surgeon. I can loose 35- 40 which is ok with me. Im doing it for my health. I am just somewhat worried because i have been reading that many here in the forum has been givin a pre-op clear liq diet and my surgeon says its not ness. Hi guys...I dont write much but i have been following all u guys for a while trying to get as much info as i can for my incoming may surgery. I AM 57 yr old. And my sleeve is in may. today was my final weigh in . i am now 210. My lowest weight has been 190. I look ugly at 190 (as ive been told) because My butt disapears n my boops will fall along with my stomach. [emoji4] Does anyone know if Horizon NJ Health insurance pay for loose skin surgery? I really dont care what people say , i know i need to loose weight for my health no mater what...I need this surgery because i have tried all diets n nothing works, im like a yoyo dieter. Another big concern is that i asked my surgeon to give me a pre-op liquid diet menu..but he said that i do not need any pre_op clear liq diet. He just said to stay away from carbs n fats and i can eat whatever i want. But i dont find that normal. He said that post_op is liquids for 3 days then only protien for one week then puree after that. So i dont no if all this is ok or should i do Water n protien for 2 whole weeks. Its like he doesnt explain anything i have to ask the questions if i want to know. Then there is the isue of GERD medication pills AND MY HIGH BLD PRESURE meds.
