  1. I agree with Nuts. they make me gain so quick. i love them but have to stay away from them!
  2. ooo thanks i will ask my surgeon about this
  3. I wonder how the bariatric pal cold teas are? has anyone tried them?
  4. I personally log it all and the times bc there may be certain foods contributing to weight gain and/ or bloating. they may have added ingredients im not paying attention too, so i can look back and see for sure if there is a consistency.
  5. Dannnggggggggggg, those are awesome. I need to be more meticulous with mine as well i just normally use the free MFP and be done but those are really good
  6. Honestly the best thing to do is trust the advice your surgeon, and nutritionist gave you. Only weigh once a week or else those numbers will hit harder. Try throwing in extra exercises. Maybe do a pouch reset.
  7. This is really good, honest advice! I need to jot this down for when i hit stalls!
  8. True, My appointment is Wednesday so hopefully (fingers crossed) he will write it
  9. I see a cardiologist who was the one to initially recommend it. So that may be a possibility. Thanks
  10. This isnt a deciding factor for me at preop currently. I am worried about it happening to me but im preparing myself emotionally for it and my doctor recommended some supplements if it happens
  11. You are so pretty! Also you have a killer smile! you can tell you are really happy! congrats on your progress.
  12. Im interested in the answers to this as well. I've been worried about excess skin..(which is not a factor for me not to have surgery) but im curious to know about the removal surgery as well so i can kind of plan if i end up with a bunch of excess skin
  13. So one of my next steps is getting my letter of medical necessity from my PCP. (keep in mind i'm self-pay so its more surgeon requires it vs insurance required) Well my doctor don't really believe in gastric bypass b/c in the past when i've mentioned it he said no and wants to slap me on more diet pills (which work for a bit but not long term). I'm worried he will say no. Has anyone else had this happen? What did you do? And did the surgeon go ahead and do the surgery anyways?
  14. how long were you on pain meds for if you dont mind me asking?
  15. Thank you! I hope I have the same experience you do, would be great! Im glad yours went well! It gives me hope and encouragement
  16. i havent gotten to my surgery and im nervous (in a happy way and like omg this is happening) but you will do great! Im super happy for you! good luck! keep us all updated!!!!
  17. That's kind of how i was feeling. Luckily my job is about the same and we don't get a ton of customers everyday. with my surgery not being on the 1st or last week of the month it should be fairly light. and even when customers come in i don't have to get up from my desk. I can also always move to one of the back desks and deal with stuff there so someone else can deal with the majority and i just pick up of the overflow. (worst case scenario) however i'm afraid of the pile of work i will come back to BY leaving b/c the little everyday stuff adds up quick vs being there and dealing with it then and taking the 5 minuets to do it. (sorry for rambling lol)
  18. Im looking at mine being in October sometime around the 9th i think
  19. Very true! I just hate missing work, makes me feel guilty kind of thing...shouldn't...but i worry about stuff getting done on time if im out...(hence lazy coworker) ...thansk for the input im going to talk to my boss and say hey can i take 2 weeks and come back early if i feel better
  20. Hows the pain been that far out?
  21. So I know this will probably vary person to person and has been discussed before butttttt..... I had my consult with my surgeon who said i may need two weeks off from work. I have a desk job and dont have to lift anything.. I was hoping for more likely a week off total kind of thing b/c its super hard for me to take off from work just because i work in such a small business. as it is a wekk will be hard enough to ask for. What is everyone else's experience with returning to work who has a desk job> After a week did you have a lot of pain or just mostly tired really easily and what about driving if you're able to come off pain meds by a week?
