  1. Lisa, a revision for reflux is not considered a weight-loss surgery. I had mine when I was only 20 lbs from goal weight. It is considered a fix to the GERD problem and does not have any weight-based criteria, just the damage caused by the GERD and whether you are responding well to non-surgical treatments.
  2. Welcome, Erica! Good luck next week. I hope all goes smoothly!
  3. I made banana SF pudding the other day with FairLife milk and a scoop of peanut butter powder- tastes like a pb/banana sandwich. Low cal, low fat, good amount of protein.
  4. Don't worry about the speed of the advance from one stage to another. All timelines are guesstimates. Try small amounts of the new food per your instructions and see how you do. If your tummy isn't happy, go back to full liquids for a few more days. Just because the timeline says one week doesn't mean that's where you'll be. But, you may be pleasantly surprised. I hope you're one of the lucky super-healers!
  5. I had my sleeve revised to an RnY last October. It took several months for the sore throat to heal, but it's much better now. Like you, I was concerned about the long-term use of PPIs. I thought the recovery was a bit faster for the revision, probably because I didn't have the tightness from the swollen sleeve.
  6. I mostly used Premier Protein shakes and Protein20 waters. Don't stock up on a lot of one thing, get a variety because your tastes may change after surgery. Good luck!
  7. Congrats on making it to Onederland!
  8. I was sleeping on a wedge before surgery and kept it afterward.
  9. Yes, very normal. As the swelling goes down, the fluids will move through more easily. That's why they have you take little sips in the beginning so that you don't overwhelm your capacity!
  10. Yes, welcome to the land of experienced, but not yet experts!
  11. My cheeks (north and south) are totally gone and my twins are just a memory! I mean, they were only Cs at my heaviest, so the bar was pretty low to begin with, but now I have 80-yr-old man bubbies! Just a bit of jiggle around the pink!
  12. Really interesting talk as I sit here with a glass of wine! ? I do take exception to his comment that no mammals are built to live off carbohydrates. Ok, yes, there is some nutritional value in grass, fruit, et al, but cows (not on feedlots) and horses only eat plants, which are carbohydrates. C'mon!
  13. It's been too long to remember. I'll make some tonight and get back to you ?
  14. I've tried almost all of them, including Rooibos!
  15. Thanks for sharing your success! I wish more long-term vets would post how they're doing!
  16. You can also dilute them with skim milk
  17. I have to agree with you that my cravings were really under control on a day-to-day basis with Atkins. I just couldn't sustain that long term. I really don't care for meat much and love my fruits and veggies.
