Premier Protein

Hi!

My doctor wants me drinking 3 of the premier protein shakes a day, however I’m not doing too great with them! For some reason they just feel too heavy for me to tolerate and I just feel super queasy after. Does anyone else have this experience with these particular shakes? Anything that helps?? I saw they make a juice version of the premier protein which is a little less protein but I’m thinking it might be worth a try.

Hello I've seen that they have protein water not necessarily Premier brand but you might want to try that, I've also diluted my protein drinks with water.

You can also dilute them with skim milk

diluting is a good idea. You could also use water and count it toward your required fluid intake, I LOVED Premier Protein shakes before surgery. I bought 4 cases on sale at Costco. But..... after surgery, they were just too sweet. Tasted like chocolate syrup! So poor hubby took the unopened cases back.

They are considered a meal replacement - not just a protein supplement, How long does your doctor want you to keep on 3 shakes a day?

Just 3 a day until my first post op appt which is on the 25th! Hopefully then I can move to a soft diet

This is what I do and it really helps

I had that same problem. But my surgeon only allowed 4 ounces, as that counted as a meal. The Cookies & Cream flavor, for some reason, hurt my stomach. After that, I started making my own protein shakes using Isopure protein powder.
