  1. This ties in with the first one . . .
  2. Best wishes that all goes smoothly from here on out!
  3. Love your sense of humor!!!
  4. I think I'll try to make these today with my son, they're pretty healthy: https://amyshealthybaking.com/blog/2019/04/03/healthy-chai-spice-carrot-raisin-scones/?utm_source=feed&utm_campaign=rss-mo-more&utm_medium=rss
  5. OK, total confession here, I ate this plate twice! No leftovers. My son (who lives 50 miles away) was tired of coming home on Fridays and finding out that his parents had totally forgotten that it was a Friday during Lent. (For non-Catholics, it should be no-meat but since my surgery we haven't been paying attention). Anyway, just for him and because I feel really good today, I followed all the rules: garlic/lemon shrimp, Greek salad w/feta and spaghetti squash with a little butter & Parmesan. It was delish and he was so happy ?
  6. Nope. Or did I feel compelled to answer because other people were already answering?
  7. I don't have a lap-band, but I did have reflux issues. You can try sleeping on a wedge on in a recliner for a while. Also, don't eat or drink within about 3 hours of lying down.
  8. Those look amazing! How big are they?
  9. Just because the "timeline" says you're ready for solid foods doesn't mean that you, in particular, are ready. Some of us transition much more slowly than others. If solids are making you sick, go back to the softer foods and try again in a week. Also, which solids are you trying? Some are much more difficult to process than others.
  10. I'm glad the surgery went well and that you've gotten good results from the labs so far. Hope you have a speedy recovery and that this fixes all your issues.
  11. I hit periodic waves of low energy for several months. I think it was my body protesting to all the unkind things the surgeon did to it and to the severe change in my caloric intake. There may also have been a certain amount of metabolic revenge going on, too. It is normal. Some people do a lot better if they get extra B vitamins, especially a B-12 shot. You might consider that.
  12. Hope all goes smoothly tomorrow!
  13. Put the @ then start typing their name. And thank you, that's how I feel about humor, too.
  14. Where in Texas are you? I'm just south of Fort Worth. Is there anything I can do to help?
  15. It spoke to my heart, I love pugs!
  16. Have you spent enough time together that you can tell him honestly, "I know you're doing this to make me feel sexy and romantic, but it really makes me uncomfortable?" Without going into the weight-loss details. Maybe suggest another way that works better for you? Like a can of Reddi-whip and a wicked smile? Or kisses on the back of your neck (but not in a creepy Biden way!) I think you need to give him alternatives that work better for you.
  17. That's terrible. I hope everything goes smoothly this time.
  18. Pus is definitely worth a call to the surgeon's office. Hope you feel batter soon.
