  1. After wife and kids best decision I’ve ever taken it’s a life changer for the best
  2. I’m not a vegan never had been never thought I would be but after my sleeve i rarely eat meat in fact if I had to choose I would definitly eat a salad but talk to your Dr about that
  3. hummus, babaganush, stew, bean salad, ground beef, corn torilla with some ground beef and some avocado aka a taco, quinoa salad, caprese salad, 3 oz of any type of meat without fat, just use your imagination get what you can eat and see what you can come up with! in my case im 3 months in and still cant eat more than 3.5oz without throwing up so use a scale
  4. Hi, im 89 pounds out in 2 months and 28 days, it is posible I’ve been going to the gym 5 days a week and sticking to my diet and new way of life I had what I thought was an unrealistic goal of 100 pounds in 3 months guess I’ll be short 10 pounds btw I was 300 pounds when I went into surgery on March 5 I’m 211 today
  5. Don’t be stress about it stick to healthy food like salads tell them to put dressing on the side or just go with chicken remember nothing fried no soda and don’t eat and drink water wait 30 min before drinking anything after eating and most importantly listen to your stomach stop when you start to feel full
  6. You need to remember something even though you are not losing weight you are losing cm from your body think about this if you lost 3 ponds of fat in a week but gain 3 pounds of muscle the scale will show that you didn’t lose an oz but are you really in a stall? In my case I am 2 month 14 days out of my surgery I’m proud to say I’ve lost 80 lbs so far every time I think I hit a stall I do 2 things 1 I stay it up a notch and 2 look at my muscular mass that way I’m sure I’m still losing where it matters before I had surgery I had 163 lbs of muscular mass first 2 weeks I lost a lot of that but once the Dr explained it to me I started to see things differently and I’m at 161 of muscular mass. so don’t give up, if you are doing your exercises and eating what you are suppose to and drinking enough water I’m sure you are losing where it matters but talk to your Dr see if he has a scale that measure muscular mass, fat, bone mass, and so on
  7. this is the best decision you`ve taken, it is a life changer, i had my sleeve done on March 5 and i have lost 77 lbs to this day, dont give in to the fear cause at the end remember you are fighting a disease a disease that takes more life than any other, think about all the cool things you will be doing with your kids, think of it as a second chance at life. i had Afib before getting sleeved and im glad to say my cardiologist just took me off my meds its a whole new me! also once you start losing the weight your wife will definitely appreciate it, i feel like im 16 again hope you get what i mean! lol
  8. Happen to me too now I sleep with 3 pillows it really helps
  9. Without giving it a second thought, this is a life changer and the best decision I’ve taken

  15. Hi laconnie7 have you talked to your Dr about this, im almost at 1 month and to be honest only had pain first 3 days, i slept like a rock and even though it was hard got to meet my liquids most of the time so best thing you could do right now is go talk to your Dr just to make sure everything is ok. everything gets better as time goes on

  17. As for driving I was clear after 10 days of surgery
  18. For me it was a bit different went to surgery on March 5th started walking since I woke up, went home 2 days after surgery, on may 9th started walking 5k (2.5 in the morning, 2.5 in the afternoon) on week 2 Dr cleared me to go do stationary machines at the gym and light weights, so I’ve been doing just that normally do 30 min elliptical and 30 min weights only 45 lbs no more than that on weights but talk to your Dr every single one of them has a different playbook but they all have you best interests in mind
  19. Quick question does compression shirt help with lose skin I’m terrified of having it I’m on my 22nd day I’ve lost 40 lb I’m 5”11 started out my journey at 300 lb been doing lots of exercise what else can I do to minimize the damage????
  20. I remember that feeling good news it will pass trust me, bad news is water will fall like a ton of bricks and you’ll have so little you won’t get the thirst out but that too shall pass I’m in my 3rd week keeps walking that helps with the water intake I’ve lost 40 pounds since my sleeve started on 300 now I have 260 walked around 5k since day 4 and been going to the gym since week 2 keep doing to works and you’ll see the results best of luck
