    Food Before and After Photos

This has been my go to breakfast this week. Two hard boiled eggs, half an avocado diced and mixed together in a bowl. I did add in a pinch or two of shredded cheese - I used some Kerrygold Dubliner cheese because that’s what I had already shredded. Spread the mixture on two slices of toasted Sara Lee 45 cal bread, no butter and sprinkle with everything bagel season. Adjust as necessary as the everything bagel can be salty. The mixture egg/avocado mix makes two servings so below toast is half the bowl spread on the toast.

I could eat the entire thing as well and six years post rxy. I was told I could never eat XXX again so when I found out I could I did. I wish I still had that restriction.

Try some 70% or greater cocoa dark chocolate. Just one square a night and that morning wood might come back. Works for me. ;) And for original thread - yup losing weight does wonders for sex life. My wife loves the slender me and it’s added enhancements.

Did a reverse sear venison back strap, over some sautéed spinach, side of roasted veggies and one roll. I like to cook and this one was good and I ate almost all of it, but should have stopped sooner. Food after surgery doesn’t have to be boring, just smaller portions. 😎

Perfect timing - I made hard boiled eggs tonight and used the bring to boil, put in eggs then ice bath method. The correct way is to do them is like a ford vs chevy debate but to each his own. Anyone tried baking them in a muffin tin? Might try that one. I took my hard boiled eggs an extra step and after peeling them I put them on the smoker for about 30 minutes about 200* using some pecan wood from our old farm. They are delicious! Tomorrow might try and turn them into deviled eggs but egg salad with the smoke flavor might be good!

Here’s a new one I tried today. Air fryer bagel and egg. I put half a bagel flat side down in an air fryer using parchment paper, cracked an egg in the middle and then put some cheese on top- I used cheddar and mozzarella. Air fry for 5-6 minutes at 180 (my pic is 350 for five minutes which was too hot). Turned out really good! Not something I would eat every day but a very good treat.

For the guys, the dark chocolate with 70 % Cocoa is good for the prostate. ;) one small square a day can help “rejuvenate” your prostate to that of your younger years.  No before and after pictures to post though!

Here are some food pics I posted along the way on IG. Not real active with posting anymore but might help someone. 4.5 years post op and restriction is not very common FWIW.

I didn’t think about the different types and absorption rates. Good info - thanks!

Anyone use the Viactiv calcium chews? At $.10 per chew they are 1/4 the other ones online.
  12. My hunger came back with a vengeance about 6-7 months post op. Just your body adjusting. Acknowledge it happens and stay strong!

    Regrets...anyone?

2.5 years out. Only regret is 1) I didn’t do it sooner and 2) I stuck with it more diligently post op.

    BCBS denial

Another option would be to self pay. Most people can qualify for a line of credit and then just lay it back over the next two years. I’ve known three people who did that so they didn’t have to deal with insurance and were able to schedule the surgery within two weeks.
