  1. Ugh, that blows! I had a former manager who could not mention me without going on and on about me being a woman, the first woman in role, him patting himself on the back about making the team more diverse. Ugh, I cringed every time. It was the only qualification for my position he ever mentioned.
  2. No, it gets worse, she's super nice, funny, and good at her job ... I can't even hate her
  3. Oh wow O&D! I'm sorry you're going through all that! One of the things I love about you is how you just deal, move on, and don't make an issue of anything. But just having to go to the Dr., the tests, etc, is a huge hassle. I would be whining about the inconvenience of it all, if nothing else!
  4. So how were the parties, how was the baking?? I had a party to go to, plans with not a boyfriend and tons of chores and errands. It was all good, just really busy!
  5. Yes, and our metabolism! I was with a colleague last week who is tall, model gorgeous and THIN. She kept talking about how much she loved to eat, how the gym is some form of torture, and her whole goal in life is to find the next place to sit. I was like "aint life a b*tch!"
  6. Yes, to all of this. Professionally I think I'm mostly able to cover my flaws with compression panties, fitted pants, and wrapped or ruched dresses. The tough one is my arms and short sleeves, and of course my neck. It's just my own vanity that makes me want to wear sheath and body con style dresses! Losing the weight, and getting ps will undoubtedly help my career. Within my current company the effect will be limited, as the ladder is out of rungs. But it will give me more options (and better pay!) if I decide to go elsewhere. In some ways that seems unfair. But the reality is, I'm the face of my company to many people. Why wouldn't a company want someone healthy and attractive (as well as competent) to represent them?
  7. This is pretty much the truth! Online isn't necessarily any shadier than any other way of dating. There are good people and bad people out there, no matter what.
  8. Oh you are definitely making that when you finally get yourself out here!
  9. Are you sure you are inserting it all the way? You shouldn't be able to feel it at all when it is positioned correctly.
  10. Those are way too carb/calorie laden for me. It will slow your weight loss drinking those. As many have mentioned here, have you treid PRemier Protein, Muscle Milk RTD, or the other high protein, low cal options out there?
  11. I think if you combine IF, with high volume, low cal foods, like leafy greens, and make sure your protein is super lean, like shrimp for example, then 800 cals is doable, a lot of days. @FluffyChix creates amazing looking, fairly large meals, and can do so around 600 cals a day. But it takes planning and time and thought in order to get a a few calories to go so far.
  12. Well, you know what you need to do next then ...
  13. Yeah, good reason not to waste your money on the sticks. So, TMI, but I smell different "down there" when I am in ketosis. Not bad, just different.
  14. Young pup ? ? ? I think being vain, and being single come into play for me. Oh, and I really really want to wear sheath dresses, damn it!
  15. Ketosis is just when you are burning fat for energy. You could eat one candy bar a day and be in ketosis, if that's all you ate. You are most certainly in ketosis considering you've lost 30 lbs in 6 week.

  17. I would need different parents, different genetics!
  18. @Matt Z In another thread you mentioned studies showing 90 oz + being necessary. Do you have those handy? I'd love to read them!
  19. Yeah, this is a concern of mine too. My bio clock is just about out of time. A year ago I wrote off the possibility. But who knows what will happen with not a boyfriend. But a year from now, theings will hopefully be clearer. So my take away from this discussion is, I want more ps than anyone else. I wonder if it's that I'm such a mess, or if I share @GreenTealael's unattainable goals
  20. Awfully quiet in here .... @FluffyChix How was the fast? How were the tests? I've been swamped with work, ugh! I'm traveling again this week today, and then most of next week. It's this kinda sh*t that kept me from my ps this fall! Don't people know it's supposed to be quiet between mid November to mid January?? But in good news. So far so good on the eat whatever the h*ll I want, but skip breakfast and call it IF plan. I was down to a new low of 139.4 yesterday, and up to 140 this morning. I will totally take that! On the dating topic .... I did something a out of character, and it paid off. Last week not a boyfriend and I were discussing when we would get together, schedules, etc. He mentioned he had an Xmas party, wasn't sure if he was going to go, how to fit it all in with seeing me. I uncharacteristically told him, that I'd love to go to the party with him. He said that was a good idea, but was noncommittal. The next morning, I mentioned again I'd like to go with him, and he said great, let's go, I'll RSVP today. So we went, had a great time, and he thanked ME for going with him. I always try hard to not be too pushy, overstep boundaries etc. So I definitely went out on a limb, telling him twice that I wanted to go. I think I get too much in my head about how I want to be perceived. It's nice to be able to be myself.
