Hello everyone.
So today was my first Post Op appointment. My surgery was Jan 30th 18. I am proud to say I am down 15 pounds!!!!!!

I was feeling a little discouraged and down this past week because giving up food was hard for me but this definitely gave me that confidence I needed! I’m happy to say I don’t regret this surgery! Looking forward for the future! Would also love to hear anyone else’s stats

I too am worried about the post-op pain but know it will be short lived. If anything I am more concerned about knowing how to live right afterward. I am excited thinking about being skinny, looking in my closest of black clothes and actually find something I WANT to wear and can fit into that has color and style. Don't worry too much on the little things and think about all the good things that will come with having the surgery. I am pretty sure that will get you excited :-)

You are not alone. I’m not excited yet either lol. I’m not worried about the post op pain. I’m worried about the pre op diet and being able to conquer that and then about not eating for a long time after that. If I didn’t have to cook for my family I probably think it would be easier. When are you having your surgery?

I’m on day 3 of liquid diet. The hardest was no caffeine. Today is the first day I feel functionable, so hopefully it is the start of it getting of easier and my body accepting this culture shock

Tomorrow I go for a weigh in and they said they will tell me if I have to start the liquid diet after that or if I can wait until my team meeting on January 25th. I’m hoping they say I can start liquids on the 25th. I don’t think I can have any type of solids. How about you?

You can do it. My Dr. had me on two weeks of 3 Protein Shakes and two Protein bars a day. It really wasn't that bad... just keep thinking of what's to come... a new you!

I got delayed several months for factors that I won't go in to, but I got my surgery date and will be having gastric bypass done on Feb 1st! I feel so relieved that after months of back and forth with my health insurance, they have finally given me the all clear and I have a date on the books!
I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, getting surgery of any kind done is always scary! (I mean who likes anesthesia!?) But I at least feel good knowing that this will be a wonderful tool in my weight loss arsenal. I have never been an average sized adult so I am not even going to know what to do with myself!!! Walk in Target and buy clothes off the rack? ME???

Just got approved!!! Yay!!!! Date: February 19th! Let's do this!!!

Oh I think its definitely worth it, just think of all the positive benefits it will have!

I had to pay mine out of pocket too. My insurance doesn’t cover anything to do with weight loss
