Just a few days before I would think. My buddy Fluffy Chix just had hers at the surgeon's Friday and her surgery is next Tuesday. I'm sure they weigh you again on the morning of your surgery. Always checking if anything changes so they can titrate your medication dosages.

Thank you for his and your services. As a support person to him you fulfill a very valuable service also I for one am proud to know you, I'd like to say I'd shake his hand but I'd probably hug you both instead. I am excited you are starting on your weight journey. Which surgery are you planning? I will be a RnY but I'm friends with all the sleevers on here. I liken these surgeries to rifles and shotguns, different but they both shoot well and they get the job done. To be honest your,timeline looks a lot more efficient than average. Many out here have 5-7 months of prerequirements before our surgeon's office set a date. If we can we will help you with any questions you have. I'm pre surgical myself but have been on Bariatric Pal several months, there are a lot of veteran WLS patients still active they mentor us along the way. I've learned a lot from them. If you like I'll tell you more of my,personal story but right now I hope to make you feel welcome.

Think of it as your body pausing to regroup and realign , then it will relax and the weight loss probably will resume. In the meantime you might have NSV like your clothes and shoes becoming looser. It will all balance out but it's hard to stay patient. Don't stress yourself out.

My late Mamma ,when I was a little kakatkitten ,would pour boiling Water on my shredded wheat,pour it off and when it cooled add a little milk. Might make it even softer to swallow

Plastic chairs that don't make sucky noises when I get up. People saying "oh at least her face is pretty". People letting me on the furniture instead of bringing a bashed up wooden kitchen one. Shopping in the regular ladies or juniors department. Finding a nice coat instead of resorting to a mans jacket. Having people know I'm a female instead of a misshapen blob. Dressing in something bright instead of the mustard, black,or puky greens I found last week at Wally World. People not recognizing me.An occasional wolf whistle instead wondering if the guy has developed a wheeze. Painting my toenails, seeing my intimate areas without a mirror. Scratching,my own middle back.Looking in a single mirror instead of a triple. Taking a selfie without looking like a group,focusing a wide angle and having some scenery show on either side. Being tall instead of merely big. Having someone like me for myself not the amount of shadow I provide. Not being in the back row of every picture or having to be the photographer instead.

It's called a stall, there are stories about that all over Bariatric Pal. Are you following your surgeon's advice on post surgery , getting in your fluids etc? Your body may be regrouping and realigning itself, trying to get all balanced. Remember your body was happy ---happy when you were heavier, it could bebop along,laying down additional fat cells. It may have even been singing "Blumpie Blumpier Blumpie." All the sudden your surgery has said "Halt--- we are now going to live off of and
utilize the energy in her fat cells" Body is a little peeved over this term of affairs, says" I don't like this. Can't things be like before? "So it stalls out, but you're going to make it behave and suddenly you start losing again. The 3 week stall one is famous but it can happen other times , weight loss isn't always smooth but if you stay the course IT WILL HAPPEN.

Ready for this- I saw a psychologist not a psychiatrist this 2nd try in the Bariatric Rodeo. Found out now that I had been approved in 2016, my job terminated and i lost insurance coverage,at that time. Now they tell me i had been totally approved and were only waiting on my new insurance# to assign,me a date. Never told me.
Anywhoo, this independent psych broad from what i understand stated I was either emotionally or mentally too instable,for surgery. Never gave
me an inkling of her backstabbing plans. Thought we had parted on good terms, even told me I had passed,everything that day.
GOD I hate being,lied to and/or manipulated. Now I wait a week to find out if the impressions each of them had meeting or consulting with me is enough to over-ride her negative comment. What is this Miss America where I have to be Miss Congeniality,? I'm a little old to compete in a popularity contest. I'm sorry Fluffy --but it twists my knickers in a ball.

Yeah yeah,I'm awake. Time to turn over and take my Dexilant. If I don't My upper right tummy will spass and gripe all day. Gastroenterologist says it's gastritis, surgery that blocks off the acid producing portion of my stomach should only help. I slready have a small ulcer, probably too many NSAIDS. Got a few,musical selections for your enjoyment.

Not gonna break out my Liquid Protein until I have something to Celebrate. My surgeon doesn't even require it but if I can drop a pound or 2 pre surg good for me. My blender died so I'll need to invest in a new one to blend things. Trying to economize, don't know if I can organize free Columbus trips for the testing. Already got transport lined up for the 15th, God I hope I don't have to cancel![emoji307] ya Chickie, you're helping keep me sane in a pocket of insanity.

I'm 72, will be 73 December 26th, a RnY in my future early-mid March at Mount Carmel in Columbus Ohio. I'm looking forward to a longer life with a thinner and healthy body. I've always been pretty inside, it is now time to remodel the outside to match. Please join me on this journey ----the best is yet to come!!!

Welcome Salazar. I flatter myself that I have all the answers since I'm probably the oldest chronologically on Bariatric Pal. I am actually 72, nearly old enough to date Methuselah. Now there has got to be someone in the whole Delmarva that would take your case. Let's take it out a little bit, i know you're in Northern Va, try maybe the Maryland suburbs. I know there's someone in Prince George county on here. If I remember her name I'll let you know. Golly,most,of us worry about insurance. comorbities, here you are money in hand and still having trouble., it does boggle the mind.Hey I noticed on my tablet one of the highlighted surgeons today was Dr Masoud Resvani in W oodbridge Va. Did you try him? Just wondering. I will be having a RnY in early-mid March , date is still labile at this time. All my prerequirements are done just waiting for a date from my surgeon. I will,have,my surgery at Mount Carmel in Columbus Ohio. I'm so grateful,they don't think I'm too old, many programs won't touch anyone over 60. I have low bp, no diabetes,,no cholesterol and a proper motivation. I am in it to win it just like all the younger people.

Late Husband: You don't appreciate having,a good man.
Me: I would if I had one, I just know I would.
He liked to belittle me for my size and he was 3 inches taller and 35 lbs heavier , only ,thing small about him was his mind. But he firmly seemed to believe he was 185 lb like he was in high school. Sad isn't it, he came from a long line of chubby-haters, cut them out of my life after he died. Life is too short to spend mine being treated that way, took it for too long as it was. I'm a fine human being, truth is I've always been eligible for Mensa so why let them treat me like I'm the village simpleton? Thanks everybody for letting me rage, I feel MUCH better.

Size shouldn't matter as much as efficency. It is a tool for your future, I'm sure your surgeon made it a proper diameter and size, it's not their first rodeo, ya. know. Now it's up to you to use this gift and use it wisely. Best wishes now and for your future surgery.
