  1. When I was a,little kakat- kitten my mother would pour boiling water on shredded wheat to soften it, pour the water off and when it cooled down give it to me. To eat. I wonder if you, could do sometilhing, like, that with rice or corn chex put some milk on it stir until it's smooth. Be almost like cream of rice or cream of wheat. Did you know cream of wheat is also called farina? If you see it in the baby food aisle, its the same thing. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. 336Mike your stats are pretty cool, you and i,started out at the same weight. I haven't had my surgery yet but you give me hope I can emulate your weight loss in 3-4 months. Thanx for being here. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Good luck tomorrow, you've beat the insurance stall tactics at their own game, now get, operated, get healthy and get along with, your life. The 25th is your rebirth day. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. I hope somebody will be there for me, glad you have each other. Both of you keep us updated, you matter here. There will be a mid Marcher for me and by then you both will be far enough along,to tell "This too will pass" keep fighting the Good Fight. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. Little LizzieLilliput what a great post. 90%of what you said will apply as well to the RnYers, although we don't lose as much stomach our surgical juggling is nothing to sneeze at. We too get stabbed and have interior swelling to heal, I'm going to remember all, this when my surgery, gonna. Thank You Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Ciara any updates? Decency would dictate you, both deserve WLS, but then you are dealing with State government and they aren't always known for decency, are they? Wish there was some way,to do them as a hardship case. In the long run you're both going be healthier and save them money, but ah how do you convince them of that? I hope somehow you get all straightened out. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. This too will pass. You're on the road to good things Blue Girl. Hugs Honey. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Thanks Alex, no matter how much we think we understand the process its good to see things in black and white. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Open it up to the whole Delmarva and I bet you'll have some takers, and like Fluffy Chix says prom photos are in order, share them with us please? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. You remind me of the Pistol,Annies song H*** on Heels, cute and spunky. I was lying here feeling sorryfor myself, the flu bug circled back around and got me again, but seeing your pix makes me feel all better. Thank you for sharing them. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Wow@biddynz,i've been following your story ,on here. So glad things are so wonderful. At this point I'll probably be laparoscopic but if I did have to be open I'd hope,i would follow your healing path. Best of everything now and in the future. 12. Tomkitten last month had a colonoscopy, bowel prep made him go 18 times. Among the clear liquid suggestions was lemon or lime Jello, all that pooping and when he got his pictures back, yeah they give you sheet with color pictures of your innards. At any rate in 1 there was still a small puddle of lime jello showing. He's going Whattt? Turns out all he's got is a small amount of internal hemmoroids, told him he should be grateful he' d never be pregnant and pop them suckers out. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I'm a D cup pre surg , since the girls have breastfed and fought the weight wars with me I figure,I'll end up a fullB skimpyC, as long as I don't need a seatbelt retractor I'll be satisfied. Besides I couldn't always find find a 46D and I know they have a,lot bigger choice smaller. Women my age(72) are like the Sahara Desert; everyone has heard of it, many have a general idea where it's located, but not a soul books a vacation trip there. So I'll roll Thing 1 and Thing2 up in my bra and go on from there. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. Many say it's like having done a few too many situps, most say the tenderness doesn't last all that long. Follow your d octor's advice, get up soon after your surgery is over and walk often, that way you get rid of the gas sooner. I'm sure the veterans will be weighing, with advice also, I know I value all their stories too. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. @chambo you might want to check, the other March 2018 thread and the Spring 2018 thread you will find a lot of new friends.I'm also March but I'll be a Rny, still willing to befriend you. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  16. Only thing I could think of is how soon after surgery can i get up walk? I've been told it will help me get rid of the gas in my body. Maybe how soon can I go home if everything goes well? You have a very thorough list already and I certainly wish you well on this journey, please update us on everything. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. Will do, I just wanna join you so bad, March can't come soon enough for me. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. You probably could cover them with regular bandaids if you wanted but they look pretty okay. There's another girl on here showing hers 7 days out and hers look infected ,nowhere as good as yours. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. You're totally normal, even if you've come to terms with your upcoming surgery your inner heart is a little scared for the unknown. I put on a big brave front for my own upcoming surgery in about 6 weeks but deep inside this cowgirl gets the blues. We are, making a big change in our lives, but we are going to be So Much Better Off and much healthier. We can do this, my friend. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

  21. Wish we had that in Central Ohio,i'd sure go. Yeah Creek Imp you Michiganders think up the best ideas, don't you? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. Macky, what a bummer. Is it time for Aunt Flo? Sounds to me like you're doing all the right things in the right order. Don't sweat the small stuff, maybe you had heavier clothes,or shoes on, I always kick mine off before getting weighed but I guess thats just vanity. You're gonna be okay, let me know when you get hospitalized so I can send you good healing thoughts. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. LJ I'm storing all this wisdom up for when I ( and my Bariatric Friend Forever Fluffy Chix) have surgery. I'm March and shes April unless a miracle happens and they relent and let her be in my month. Maybe I'll invest in a timer and a weight scale along with the Ninja blender I'm planning to get so I can make my own smoothies. I'm proud of all your strides and hope,i'll do,as well. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Yowch, looks like you have a bad rash,or skin infection. Yeah you could have a little redness but that's excessive, did you have glue? Maybe you're having a reaction to that. I would have expected some minor bruising but not this, you look like you're ready to pop them open. My grandma wisdom. Is you need Neosporin or Benadryl, does it itch? I think you should let your surgeon's office know, maybe text them this picture. Of course I'm not a nurse etc but that's what I'd tell my own daughter. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. Yeah Fluffy Chix, ain't it just awesome, I am loved here. Puddycat is purrrring my little [emoji173] out. Any update from your surgeon, the April-cooler? Want you to be with me, Chickie.[emoji7][emoji7][emoji7] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
