  1. Primrose, I'll be here with you on your journey. I will have my RnY in early-mid March, I too have a hiatal hernia which will be repaired. H.H. seem to run in my family, both my late mother and my daughter as well as oodles of cousins. Since I'm not going anywhere feel free to ask me anything, if I don't have the answer somebody on this forum will. We're in this to win this,my little buddy! 2. Welcome@MelyC, you're among friends here. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Hi Creek Imp et all. Its me,Princess of the PreSurg, omeprazole does nothing for me me so I'm on Dexilant. Really think you should take the tummy medicine, sure maybe you don't think you'll have acid issues but are you all back to full foods? It could still rear its ugly head before the 3 months are up. 4. Can I join in? I'm still at the other end of the spectrum. I'm 325, still pre surgical, down from a high of 355 at 5'9", know I will have to get a pre surge picture taken but I still have a dysmorphic loathing. You girls at 150- 175, you're where i want to be. Yeah my dream is only ,to be a 16. You give,me hope maybe,i will get smaller but I just can't see it at 72. My plus-sized retailer you're wrong, Wal-Mart just sizing 0W which is a 14. Yeah I used to work at WallyWorld, they run 0X(14), 1X(16)2X(18-20)3X(22-24)4X(26-28)and5X(30-32) my store seldom gets in 5X when they do I buy them to have something loose to sleep in. I'm currently in 3x tops and 4x pants, probably could wear 3x,pants but I don't like my ladybits crunched. My surgery should be early-mid March, a RnY, 1 I need it for the weight loss 2 I have pretty bad GERD 3 I am just so grateful I have a surgeon who's still willing to undertake me, a lot of Bariatric Surgeons won't do anyone over 60. I am lucky all I have low cholesterol,, no diabetes, no heart disease, although I have sleep apnea my pulmonologist cleared me and so did the psychological exam. I am in it to win it, I'm sure even when the weight starts coming off I'll still sense I'm a fat girl but all of you give me the hope to persevere. The place I seem to have lost that excess 30 pounds was across my tailbone, it suddenly hurts to sit too long. Curious isn't it. Anyway please keep posting- you are the light at the end of my tunnel. Thank You Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. You know@brown- eyed girl I am not that worried about post surgery pain, i already have a fair amount dragging around this tired old body, that pain will be for a reason and it won't last forever. And I'll be so much healthier and thinner afterwards. I get excited and hardly can wait for you it to happen. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. @ Jersey Jules and @ Kristin pasley you both are phenomenal. I am so inspired by both of you. I've even overweight for years and do carry tummy weight so high likelihood I'll have a panni, but you know what? better a panni and alive then lying in a casket cause my weight done me in. Maybe 6 weeks until my RnY so then I'll have my tool for change. Wish me well folks.
  7. Also you @ burpee zombie, what qualms are you having and can I help? Please ask, others have helped me on here and I want to pay it forward. Age-wise I'm probably the oldest you'll find n it like you young ones I'm in it to win it. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Welcome to Bariatric Pal @jsweet79 and @elizabeth06388, is there any fears I can allay? I'm a future RnYEr,should have my surgery early to Mid - March. According to my avatar and listing on BP i,am a Guru in Training, been on here a few months, a lot of life experiences so hope i can be a resource person for both of you. 9. I've already been taking chewable B complex. They are strawberry flavored, got them at Wslmart, I just let them dissolve in my mouth. I've been taking Centrum 50+ cause I'm still pre surgery but will have to break down and buy bariatrics pretty soon. Have to find out what kind my surgeon recommends, and if I can get them cheaper there.Still haven't heard a definite date with Dr Miller. Not even sure if i meet with him one more time or just see him surgery morning before I go,to sleep. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. Has anybody tried the Bariatric Vitamins Walgreens advertise? Are they comparable to Bariatric Choice in price? Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Yeah but sometimes they don't count your initial visit so,it might take you 7 months. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I hope I'm just strong as you were post-surgery. This may sound silly but since I'm older than the average bear, as Yogi Bear would say. I want to prove to everyone I can handle anything they throw my way. Maybe it's vanity but that's how I am. Greatful my name isn't that generic, there's definitely only one like me. 16. I've a question- before you have weight loss surgery do you have to do a colon prep like before a colonoscopy? I feel like I should already know the answer but I don't really. It seems like it would make sense, especially if you were having gastric bypass or a duodenal switch where your intestines are going to be manipulated. So does anyone have an answer? 17. Thrilled you're doing so good, hope I follow in your footsteps when it's my turn. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  18. Hmm I like it, guru in training! Get I don't know, never saw it. No at the top of my phone screen it has Trending-Subscribed-Timeline-forum-Participated, usually the ones I've answered are there for the day or so depending on how many I've answered. Today it's just blank most of the time. The only way I can find most of the input is to go to Subscribed and scroll down. Some of the stuff is there, it is right,i am pre surg, near as I can tell my RnYonly will be early-mid March. The +136 I have no clue what it means my real stats HW355 CW325 Goal weight 170,or size 16, height 5'9" and age 72. But by now i might have 250 posts in the months of December and January, that I concede. I love learning on Bariatric Pal- we have very nice people here. 19. I think my surgeon's office is in the process. I checked last Friday and they said they were and would call me. I hope I hear before the end of the month cause they routinely schedule out about 6 weeks. That should make it early to Mid March, but I wish they would have a cancellation and work me in sooner. I am getting very impatient, want,to remind them I'm not getting any younger. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. Keep us updated, I may end up your surgery twin because I will probably,be a March also. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

As you wake up remember you've done a good thing for yourself and your future health. I'm looking forward to 6 weeks when you and everyone else will be wishing me well. Follow your rules and heal well, my friend. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Give up colas and caffeinated drinks, they dehydrate you, cut out your simple carbs, eat fruit to,pacify your sweet tooth, start walking if you're not already active, even if it's in house or once around the block. The fresh air might do you good and its something you can do for yourself at your own speed. Remember we are all here for you so if you need any advice here we be! You're getting closer daily to surgery and that's exciting. Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app
