Beardman got a reaction from EducatingtheMasses in Dealing with Co-Workers and Friends
I went with the truth minus the surgery information...high Protein, low carb, watching portions. Using a lot of Protein Shakes to balance my intake. Since i was doing this in the preop diet for 6 months no-one seemed to notice the dietary changes post op. I had my surgery over Christmas so everyone thought I was on vacation. Its almost been a year since surgery and no-one knows for sure. I'm sure some people probably think surgery but most people leave it alone. I just figure it nobody's business anyways. Now my friends are a different story, upfront with them as my wife also had surgery and told all her friends (mostly the spouses of my friends), lol. If any of my coworkers that had weight issues pulled me aside quietly and asked, I would discuss the surgery with them in detail. I just don't want to broadcast to the company at large.

Beardman got a reaction from Jade5 in December Sleevers 2017, how ya'll doing?
Doing well, broke into onederland this week! Still a bit to go to my initial weight goal...but I've hit my size goal (m/L shirts, 36 pants) was 3XL and 54-56 pants. Now I'm starting to think about building muscle and focusing less on the scale. Time to look into that gym membership...

The timing is going to be different for everyone, that's just 1 explanation I found. Some folks don't lose hair at all, some drop all of it... I'm just hoping that my beard doesn't fall out!! **THAT** would suck!

Well, my wife and I had our vsgs a month apart so it's been great to have full support. I can imagine that had I not gone through the process it might have been more difficult.

I use GENEPRO and have been using it for awhile (like 3 years or so) I have no problems with my Protein levels and as you see I am almost 5 years out. If I didn't use my protein stuff I would never reach my 65 or so protein level. My blood work has all been great. For myself it works and I will continue using it. Love my GENEPRO Latte every day. I guess everyone has to do what ever it takes as long as they meet their quota of protein levels. Good Luck and there is quite the conversations on this product. It is a WIN WIN for me.

    Short answer. Yes. Seek therapy.
And also clean out the house of all contraband. Unfortunately, you've now made your life more miserable because you are out of ketosis again. You will have to endure another 4 day stretch of hunger and misery to get back into ketosis.
I can't give you a hug about this. It's serious to the extreme and you recognize this. On Monday, call for a therapy consult from your surgeon. Don't fu*k up your tool.
    The end.

Well husband's can be like that. Had one of them for 44 years.Hmm let's see in his defense:
I tell her she looks nice, she'll counter "Don't I Always?"
I tell her I like the way she looks slimmer, she'll say "Didn't you love me beforehand?"
I say is that new? She'll say" Yes but don't start saying I spent too much money."
I say Looks similar to her other clothes She'll say "Now what is wrong with my style? You always liked it before. "
I say I'm proud of you losing weight She'll say "You weren't proud of me before? What a crappy thing to say."
Guess I'll just sit here in the chair and say "Nice Honey or Mnff "when she asks anything. That way I'm safe! [emoji197][emoji558]

Sweet Lord, as a former Texas resident living in Oklahoma....I miss HEB!!!! My surgeon has requested that I use Pepcid instead of a PPI. But I didn't have reflux before surgery so it may be different for those already on a PPI. He wants us to take 20 mg twice daily for a year.

Beardman got a reaction from logicwand in Flavorless Protein?
I've tried a few and found that the the GENEPRO flavorless I picked up at the local GNC works well. I'm not sure if the claims are all true on the package/webpage (http://www.gnc.com/whey-protein/527310.html) but the serving size has a much smaller scoop for 30g of Protein. It dissolves easily and can take some heat without turning clumpy/gooey like many of the others I've tested. Its been perfect to add to a little oatmeal to boost the protein.
Oh, I had high hopes for the Isopure clear drinks but they taste like sour milk to me...

Beardman got a reaction from Danny Paul in Cereal with Milk
So, I second the opinions of many, almost all processed cereal is just sugar in a crunchy package. However, I have been curious about this solids/liquids mixture question. For example, my NUT had not problem with chicken and vegetable Soup. The chicken does make me really full so maybe its a Protein thing. One thing I have tried (NUT recommended) is some oatmeal with added flavorless protein. The calories and macros are similar to a Protein Shake so its nice to have something "breakfastey" to eat every once in a while.

I was sleeved on 12/20 and feel the same way...never hungry. It's funny ..... when I do eat my brain says I should put more food on my plate. There is no way I can eat more than a few tablespoons! It's totally changing my relationship with food.

My wife got a sleeve Nov 24. I got mine on Dec 20. We figured it was enough apart to take care of each other. It's gone well so far, almost a month out for me.

My wife's decision to get the sleeve is what made me decide to go through the process as well. We were sleeved 1 month apart. Super nice to basically be living/learning this new lifestyle together.
