I think I have a stall every couple of months. It’s very normal. My first stall was at a month out. Body was playing catch up. The second stall I had to increase my Protein to break the stall. I’m a slow loser also

I’ll be a year out on Saturday. I’ve lost 82 lbs so far. I’m proud of myself. I had the Sleeve done.
Feel free to ask any questions

I was told nothing with bubbles but I had coffee right from the start. I had it in hospital! Not as much as before because caffeine can dehydrate and getting enough Fluid is hard enough

Guys, trust, you will see just how much you've lost when you go for your post-op doc's appt. It's completely normal to gain weight due to all of the fluids and lack of movement during your hospital stay and a bit after. Just try to walk as much as you can, even standing up for small periods of time and doing some arm stretches help. Also, remember to get in your Water, it definitely helps.

Just stick to the plan. I was sleeved 10/16 and had been in a stall for 10 days or so. In the past 5 days I've dropped 4 lbs. I didn't change anything. I stuck to my plan and exercised like I have been doing. You will do the same. It may be 10 days, it might be 5 days, it might be 3 weeks. Your body is changing even though the scale may not reflect it.

    Hi all
I was looking for a 200 pounds and under posts, but couldn't find it. Are there any of you out there under 200 pounds who had the surgery and loosing the weight. My frame is 5'3”and I was 202 at the start of the program, did the LSD, and lost about 15 pounds. Had the surgery on 10-30-17 and at about 181.1 pounds. I know I don't have as much weight to loose as others, but it's still hard for us that are at 200 pounds. So anyone want to talk, would love to hear from you.

I’m 5’ 2” and my heaviest weight was 223 at the end of August. I had huge fat pockets
at/behind my knees and it was so heavy feeling, my knees hurt constantly with all that weight straining them. I have severe sleep apnea, high cholesterol and pre-diabetic.
My surgery was 10/31 and my weight was 211. I am down to 202 today.
I went back to work after a week and even though I packed puréed lunch, I totally forget to eat during the day. I just don’t get hungry! I was extremely tired when I got home so I’m resolved to using a timer to get my food down. I’m lucky to get two Premier Protein shakes down but those with eggs, Beans and the Ricotta Bake, I’m hoping to get my Protein up. Definitely easier on the weekend when I’m still relaxing to heal up!
Stay the course all, we got this!!!

Hi! I had my surgery 10/3. Before the liquid diet, I was 212 at 5’3”. Surgery date was 207. This morning I’m 181.6. I know some may think this is slow progress, but I’m ecstatic!

vickie I am 5 weeks out and still am having a problem with energy..Until you get on solid foods you are going to be limited.. The anesthesia usually takes at least 4 weeks to get out of your system..Be kind to yourself!!! As far as weight loss the people with higher bmi lose weight faster.. So you low bmi'er don't loose that fast. You will get to your goal you just have to be patient. Get you Protein in and up your Water intake as much as possible. You will start feeling better soon..

3 weeks out, no one has much energy. You are eating way too little calories to be a powerhouse, but give it some time. Once you get to more and substantial foods, you'll be fine. How many calories do you eat? Remember, aside from a little bit of stomach, your body is still the same but instead of feeding it 2000 calories, you probably are giving it less than 500 calories. You are still recovering from surgery.

On the day of my surgery I was at 211lbs. My goal was to get off my meds for diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol and heart burn. Today, nine weeks out I'm down to 178lbs (33lbs). I'm off all of my meds except for the cholesterol meds. I'm hoping that my next blood test will show a substantial improvement and I'll be off those as well. I wasn't looking for the weight loss others had, I wanted enough of a weight loss to be healthy without medications. I'm also losing weight slowly because I'm 60 and I found out through the forums us seniors lose the weight more slowly.

I just spoke to my nutritionist yesterday about gum and she told me that sugar free gum is perfectly fine. I am 3 months post op so I am not sure at what point they say it is ok, but she said it is fine.

I'm between 2-3 weeks post op and literally have not lost anything since surgery. I weigh exactly the same as I did the day of surgery. Granted I lost all the surgical fluids and IV fluids that were pumped into me the two days in the hospital. Those fluids came off within days though. The three people that were sleeved the same day as I was have all lost between 11 and 24 pounds. They did have substantially higher BMI's than I did however, I'm the only one of the 4 of us that walks daily and I follow the program diligently. Is this common, the no loss part? On a lighter not, at least I won't have to worry about the dreaded 3 week stall. Protein intake? I aim for 90 per day with ease. I have regular bowel movements, drink minimum of 70 ounces of fluids 75% is Water. 50% of that is with lemon. sleep well and feel no different now than I did pre op. I feel great. Your thoughts?

A loss of 42 pounds is excellent progress in 3 months, especially since your starting weight was only 197. I don't know your height, so I don't know where you should be. Protein is important, and if you can't find a Protein Shake that you like, you should try to get more from your food sources.
I like Premier Protein shakes myself. My favorite flavors are chocolate and bananas and cream. I tend to mix them both up to make a different flavor. If you haven't tried premier protein, then pick up a 4 pack from the store. costco sells an 18 pack for $24.99, which is a great deal. Every quarter or so, they give you $5.00 off as well.
As far as your One A Day Petites go, they appear to have a good mix of Vitamins at 100% of your RDA. I would probably take double the amount myself by dividing up 2 in the morning and 2 at night. You don't absorb all of it, so this will help you get a lot more in.
I suspect that Hair loss is a direct result of a lack of vitamins, protein and overall calorie deficiency. Continue to take the Biotin, as that helps. Try to hit your macros as well. Once you are able to eat a bit more, it will get easier.
You are doing well. Keep up the hard work. Make sure that you get enough nourishment from your diet, continue to supplement, and you will be fine.
